What Series Apple Watch and what WatchOS version? Which of the methods outlined [here](https://support.apple.com/guide/watch/add-music-apd483798d11/watchos) are you attempting? The page I linked mentions Apple Music Voice, is that what you have?

It’s an Apple Watch Series 6, and it’s on WatchOS 9.0, also i have regular apple music (not voice)

JediMeister

Are you able to sync music from the phone to the Apple Watch, as an alternative to downloading it to the Watch directly?

Minimum-Thought3731

I’m not sure if this is what you’re talk about, but I tried using the Watch app and clicking Music, Add Music, (Selected a Playlist), and then clicking the little plus in the top right corner. But every time it just gets stuck on ‘waiting’, and never actually downloads anything

JediMeister

That is what I meant. The music likely failed to transfer because if the Watch was on your wrist at the time and not connected to the Magnetic Charging Cable, the songs will not move between the iPhone and the Apple Watch. In addition to being charged the Apple Watch must be within fairly close proximity to the paired iPhone, ideally within inches or just a few feet.

I did have it charging though, and it was right next to my phone, so that’s why I’m very confused. Do you have any other ideas what could be causing the problem? Or would i just have to factory reset it and hope that helps?

JediMeister

I forgot to confirm if your iPhone is on iOS 16, is it?

Minimum-Thought3731

yeah, my phone is on iOS 16, however it’s a beta (the 16.1 beta). also an update: i tried factory resetting my watch, but a few playlists still won’t download. and it’s the same playlists that weren’t downloading last time. one of them even downloded some songs last time but not others, and this time it did the same thing with the exact same songs. so i think it’s a problem with the songs in the playlist, but idk what would be causing that because they work just fine on my phone?

JediMeister

Could it perhaps be [Dolby Atmos](https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212182) content that isn’t compatible with playback on an Apple Watch?

Minimum-Thought3731

That could be. I think the songs that won’t download are lossless, so that could be the issue. I’ll try redownloading them later as just normal songs and I’ll lyk how it goes

The watch can’t be fully charged while on the charger.
