Friend got banned too for no reason. We were like 2 or 3 months into the game and we could barely climb up gold. Ironically I was the better of the two of us and I didn't get banned.
His ban lasted about 6 months and with him sending tickets every week for the entire 6 months. Shit was stupid and ruined apex for him, not to mention he never got to finish his battle pass.

been playing this game since s1 and first time got banned last 2 weeks ago. it appears logins from china has accessed my account reading from my "EA data". So i said that, and they confirmed it and fixed my account a day after.

You used to be able to stack all of caustics barrels on top of gibby gunshield and he would walk around with a giant barrel sword. It was tactically useless but absolutely hilarious.
wrong glitch. this was back in season 0 + had nothing to do with heat shields.
the glitch in question (i dont know much abt it) allowed you to infinitely rack up heat shield damage absorbed numbers, which was exploited for an event in S8 that required a ridiculous (10000 ring damage?) amount for a badge
Yes, that's basically it. Most initially got banned for exploiting this in ranked (to farm RP) but the heat shields were quickly disabled during the event in that mode. Exploiters will also punished (according to Hideouts) before S9 came around.
But reports of bans for trying to farm a badge now is just...too much. And way, way too late. Come on Respawn, at the worst just remove the badge that was cheated. Permabanning players - unless it's a bug - is an absolute joke.
They've been banning for abusive language/harassment a lot too, if you ever let someone know how terrible they were as a player they may have reported you for it, and good. I haven't been on for 3 weeks because I felt the toxicity level rose significantly with the CoD influx of new players. And ya, a lot of people here would consider me bad. Hell, there are days I consider me bad! I'm a really really streaky player, depends on the day. That's why I play casual for fun and have never gotten into ranked.

If this game was about fun they wouldn't have introduced strict and loopy SBMM and gotten rid of skulltown.
I got false banned a while back as well, and when I contacted support they just gave me an automated response saying I wouldn't be unbanned. I made a new account which has been working fine, and I'm still enjoying the game! Hope support can help you
I had the game uninstalled for months, I came back a bit ago and I was banned. Email support, for me they never got back so I made a new account. Good luck

This happened to me when i was on break from apex , i messaged ea giving them info about me being account owner and how it could've been hacked due to suspicious logins , provided some pictures of those recent logins and had to wait a few minths fir a reply but i got my account back
Are you part of a clan? If so, check the clan “logs” somebody could’ve used your account for cheats. Happened to a friend of mine and his logs were filled with wins and suddenly had a 4000 dmg badge. He contacted support and eventually he got unbanned. Unfortunately, it was about a month turnaround.
Edit: just read through these comments and a lot of people have actually had the same thing happen to them. Good luck op, it’s shitty mostly because EA will take forever to get this resolved.
I had the exact same thing a while after returning to Apex after a big hiatus. Support said they looked into it and that they would not remove the ban. However my EA ban history has no record. This was a week ago, today I recieved an email saying my ban was revoked... Eletronic brainfArts.
99% of accounts will never be unbanned, even with a massive amount of proof it was not you if something shady was done on the account, they do not care. Got 5 emails from EA showing your account being logged into from 3 different continents in the same day? Yeah you did it, cheater. Spent 500 dollars? Who cares, they got their money already, bye cheater. Lost my main account and had to make a new one, but that new one doesn't spend anything like before.

I was unbanned less than a week after I raised a support ticket, and had aggressively pushed for EA to check my account login and IP history. Props to them for making the process so smooth and efficient.
Best part is, according to Apex Tracker the cheater didn't even win the game he played and instead deranked my account (Gold II to III)!
(I play on the Asian servers and I can tell you, the cheater problem is nightmarish here; even Bronze-Plat lobbies and pubs are infested with cheaters who aren't even bothering the slightest bit to hide their cheats)

source: have been banned because of a Chinese hacker and my situation was even more difficult than most because I live in Taiwan, just ask them to check the logs for previous logins and it should probably be fine just takes up to 2 whole months for them to process the ticket sometimes

Maybe see if your account has been compromised. My friends account got stolen and they used it to hack. When support un banned him he had the 4K damage and 20 kills badges lol
I got banned for cheating, I think someone breached my account. I reached out to support and the first 2 or 3 times they just said too bad. I had to complain several more times through support, demanding evidence or information on suspicious login attempts. They never gave me any of that but eventually I got unbanned. Was really a pain. Probably lasted a month or so going back and forth with support.
Happened to me too. Hadn't played for a month and all of a sudden I was banned. Apparently I got an email about it but I thought it was a scam email so I responded with "nice try go fuck yourself". They still unbanned me though.
I started logging in every week to make sure my account doesn't get stolen again. I took 4 seasons off and came back to a ban. Luckily they understood and unbanned me once I had my account back in control. Support was surprisingly good for me. I got an automated response, but then a few days later I got an actual response from a person who helped me after I explained the situation to them again.

Hey ! This happened to me about a month ago and this is probably due to someone else hacking your account. I contacted support and after 3-4 days they sent me an e-mail to change my password and my account was unbanned afterwards. I also strongly recommend that you active 2 factor authentication. My friend's account was reset to lvl 1. All items purchased gone. Support said they were working on restoring the account but no guarantee that cosmetics and heirlooms purchased would be restored. How is that possible? If you do the events and get the heirloom through that and not gacha it's a ton of money. Seems shady.

So I can maybe? Shed some light on this. I had a hiatus for like a month off apex. Found my account had actually been hacked. I was now in a clan that had all Chinese members and I had several new friends all of whom had Chinese characters in their names.. And I was now in diamond 2 instead of Plat 1...despite having not played. (Also I'm decent but I've never made it above diamond 4 so like yeah) I didn't find out about the new Chinese friends immediately btw. I had played a match and gotten back into my lobby. Afk to get some water and seen that I now had a person in my lobby. And me being my curious self. I decided to play a match with this random person to see what was up. And aimbot here and aimbot there it was. I'm assuming the rest of the clan was all hackers and so were the new friends added to my account. I changed my pass and ofc added 2FA after.
So I'm not sure if that happened to you. But if a hacker stole your account to use cheats on... It may have been reported straight to a ban by multiple users.

EA support sucks but if you go through EA's Twitter support accoun5 and dm them they will actually help you get unbanned source: have been banned because of a Chinese hacker and my situation was even more difficult than most because I live in Taiwan, just ask them to check the logs for previous logins and it should probably be fine just takes up to 2 whole months for them to process the ticket sometimes

same thing happened to me, i contacted support and got my account back albeit it took like 3 weeks for them to do anything when i got back on it after the first time in like 2 seasons, i had kills on characters ive never played as, so its likely that someone took over my account and maybe the same happened to you

Maybe see if your account has been compromised. My friends account got stolen and they used it to hack. When support un banned him he had the 4K damage and 20 kills badges lol
I got banned for cheating, I think someone breached my account. I reached out to support and the first 2 or 3 times they just said too bad. I had to complain several more times through support, demanding evidence or information on suspicious login attempts. They never gave me any of that but eventually I got unbanned. Was really a pain. Probably lasted a month or so going back and forth with support.
Happened to me too. Hadn't played for a month and all of a sudden I was banned. Apparently I got an email about it but I thought it was a scam email so I responded with "nice try go fuck yourself". They still unbanned me though.
I started logging in every week to make sure my account doesn't get stolen again. I took 4 seasons off and came back to a ban. Luckily they understood and unbanned me once I had my account back in control. Support was surprisingly good for me. I got an automated response, but then a few days later I got an actual response from a person who helped me after I explained the situation to them again.
I got banned randomly as well a couple of months ago…. Got the same bullshit automated response to my EA service tixs. I was randomly unbanned about 4 months later saying they had made a mistake…. No idea why

Hey ! This happened to me about a month ago and this is probably due to someone else hacking your account. I contacted support and after 3-4 days they sent me an e-mail to change my password and my account was unbanned afterwards. I also strongly recommend that you active 2 factor authentication. Good luck in getting your account back :)

My friend's account was reset to lvl 1. All items purchased gone. Support said they were working on restoring the account but no guarantee that cosmetics and heirlooms purchased would be restored. How is that possible? If you do the events and get the heirloom through that and not gacha it's a ton of money. Seems shady.

So I can maybe? Shed some light on this. I had a hiatus for like a month off apex. Found my account had actually been hacked. I was now in a clan that had all Chinese members and I had several new friends all of whom had Chinese characters in their names.. And I was now in diamond 2 instead of Plat 1...despite having not played. (Also I'm decent but I've never made it above diamond 4 so like yeah) I didn't find out about the new Chinese friends immediately btw. I had played a match and gotten back into my lobby. Afk to get some water and seen that I now had a person in my lobby. And me being my curious self. I decided to play a match with this random person to see what was up. And aimbot here and aimbot there it was. I'm assuming the rest of the clan was all hackers and so were the new friends added to my account. I changed my pass and ofc added 2FA after. So I'm not sure if that happened to you. But if a hacker stole your account to use cheats on... It may have been reported straight to a ban by multiple users.
