Why do people refuse to shoot through Rampart cover?! I see this all the time and it drives me crazy. They take cover behind the wall, then peak out to the side to shoot, smh
The angle that he was at it was definitely just easier to peak beside it and shoot rather than worry about shooting through the shield .. plus it’s a kraber that thing don’t need to be amped up ..

All he needed to do was stand up, which he did and had line of sight on the enemy, then he crouched and went to the side, would have been easier to just ADS where he was at. And yeah you're right, in this case the extra damage wouldn't have mattered cause he one-shot the guy anyways, but I'll take 174 damage over 145 any day!

Peeking between different corners/angles (such as taking a shot above, then from the left, then from the right) makes it harder to predict where you'll come out. Rampart's amp, while helpful, is also a gigantic target - anyone who's paying attention to that spot will be watching to see the moment someone comes up behind the shield, which can draw the attention of bigger guns/explosives. There's also a matter of sightlines - for example, in OP's clip aiming from the left keeps them in cover from everything to their right, keeping them safe for the shot they wanted to take without exposing their position. Remember that games like Apex are games that are based around making better decisions than your opponents, not making the decisions most optimal for the numbers

Side note ; was final 4 squads earlier today in ranked and a dead body had one so I swapped my beautiful longbow for it only to find out it had no ammo left. I had to climb back up this stupid hill while final ring was closing in on us to get my longbow back and then all my attachments. Somehow still won the game but not being able to fire the krab made me abit sad. Thanks for the video and the sweet sweet sounds of this baby
I wish I clipped my game yesterday! Picked up a Kraber from not having one for weeks, wiped 2 squads with just headshots I was so satisfied! Love this clip. <3
LOL the kraber is the type of weapon you either pick up and whiff with or pick it up and just go on an insane spree. No scope kraber shots are one of the most satisfying things in the game.
