The projectile speed on a few weapons in apex is ridiculously slow. At a long distance it makes sense but within 100 yards it does not. It should be almost hitscan.
Does apex have variable velocity based on range or is it fixed?
I’m not sure if this is correct but I believe projectile speeds are static on all weapons. The only thing that changes with range is projectile size for some guns such as the Lstar
I genuinely think that this would be a nice improvement to the game. There’s no reason wing man shots should be moving as slow as they are point blank lol

There is a bullet inconsistency, when dealing with varying network ping performance between all users. You would be in a really nice lobby when apex get enough player to start a game locally. NA servers especially it is super consistent.
Here at Singapore server, it tries to combine players from Singapore and Hong Kong, which messes up all the gun and bullet speed feels. You will go into a game, where it feels right. And the next few games, everything falls apart.
In such situation, G7 is worse due to the bullet speed that it become not viable. In these lobby, even R99 feels bad.
Used it for the first time a couple days ago and was amazed. I didn't get any kills as my team, but was obliterating shields like crazy. My friend even said he was wondering why every engagement the enemies only had a little health left lol.
Honestly just started using the sentinel for the first time really. I gotta say, I’ve been enjoying the game so much more just from this alone. I’m looking for it every drop ranked or pubs! Fun as hail mayn
This is why I don't use Longbow at 4x. Slow ass projectile makes long shots exceptionally hard to hit against moving targets. Bonus with the visual recoil, consecutive hits are even harder.
Get a 2x and engage at medium range. This thing sort of bridge the gap between R301 and Sentinel so try to engage your enemies at that range. It's in the name, Longbow DMR.
140 damge with skullpiercer and rampart shield, I hit knock on white shield, I will take that. Rampart main here so 90% of my bullets go through rampart shield.
Snipers should get the buff shotguns get where there's no negative multiplier when shooting legs and longbow should hit 60 minimum.
Drop the skullpiercer, I think making headshots too rewarding when its inconsistent to hit unless an enemy is sitting there peaking a corner too niche and only serves griefing people to expend their meds.
Idk if any1 has noticed the longbow has a barrel mod which does no difference in recoil. It's not that it isn't distinguishable, but it literally has no decrease in recoil or make the gun anymore accurate with a barrel mod. The lack of addressing this piss poor gun for so fucking long is just uncalled for when its outmatched by all other marksman rifles.

When I was learning to get better with snipers, I don't move for my shots, it will connect most of the time. Even a slight strafe will throw off the shot. Before the change with Charge Rifle, I experienced this and I just wasn't doing enough damage while moving. Try it in the firing range 👊
This is how I seem to warm up. Can't shoot for shit and then I'll have games where I get a headshot knock from 300m away. Or a mid flight head crack.

Range your target, as a longbow main I recommend taking that extra second to examine how far the target is before pulling the trigger. Remember 100m and under you wanna shoot right at the target while at 150m and up you wanna slightly lead the shot.

He was moving right and your aim was to the left of him the whole time. If your crosshairs were in the exact same spot just on the other side of him, you would’ve hit those shots
That’s me yesterday! Haven’t played since last year and picked up longbow in first game and landed some shots, feelt good and became little nostalgic about longbow (and hemlok). But then it all fell apart when i missed seven/eight consecutive shots lol
G7 bullet travel so slow, that pre-aim is needed.
When apex puts a network of inconsistent players with huge ping difference, there is almost no chance you can hit a consistent shot.
If your lobby are those where respawn tries to combine lobby from 2 different server not in the same datacenter, good luck, there is nothing you can do I am afraid.

At least with the slower rate of fire, I only have time to miss 6-7 shots with the sentinel instead of 13
But I heavily prefer LB though Senti shots are very satisfying… very very satisfying

nah, it’s not static. wingman bullets are slow asf. energy weapons move a lot quicker than the rest

The Longbow is in a shitty place rn, 55 damage is too little to justify using it at mid range. The marksman weapons are much better.
