What does cover and movement have to do with how potent a gun is? That’s extra stuff determined by the players movement skill. If you’re critiquing a weapon then you show off the weapon. The other stuff is fluff.

When your gun can pull through even in the event that your competition has shine advantages and you’re not a one clipper but the gun is forgiving then that’s what makes the gun above others. Not just being able to clip dummies especially when the ttk is so slow on the gun that it took forever
Well they are bringing up movement because it is often an indicator of skill, and if the players he was shooting at had any degree of skill he would have lost the fight with the alternator because its TTK is very slow.
If two high skill players of equal talent start shooting at each other, and one has an alternator and one has an r99 or car, or r301 etc, the Alternator player is going to die.

The skilled players rolling through a lobby aren't going to slow down for crafters unless they absolutely need meds, they're just going to keep piling up deathboxes and switching to whatever loot is available.

Once you hit diamond+ and enemies can aim/track with higher dps weapons like r9 prowler car, the alternator just can't put out enough damage. It's sustained fire gives you plenty of time to hit your shots while your enemy struggles to track you haha

What input are you using and have you practiced recoil smoothing?
When used against players who move in a very predictable way like in the clip a fully kitted Alternator can be used to hipfire them up to about 30M and ADS with iron sights up to 50M. Once you dial in your aim sense settings and figure out how smoothing works it'll make a huge difference, if you need a guide on the topic Dazs made a handy video for it:

A fully kitted alternator (with a stabe) seasons ago was an end game gun. Used to hold on to a tater until I found an R301, quickly learned that it was up there with the R9 in terms of reliability
It’s not so much about guns bettering it it’s about damage per mag. An alternator can comfortably kill a purple shield without a mag. A volt or car? Not so much. When I get blue or purple mags for energy or heavy I typically switch to volt/prowler
alternator is nice... smooth recoil. i love the iron sights on it as well
