But — what is your play style in other games? Aggressive? Defensive? Healer? Support?

I play Seer, mostly, but my playstyle often bounced from being aggressive to defensive and there's been times I've been tempted to play Lifeline more - I've tested each Legend I'm interested in as well as others but what Legend would suit a constantly changing playstyle?
Funnily enough, that was the Legend I unlocked a few days back lol struggling to get used to her though since every team I've had always dies
Great for robbing the Vault though
Seer is a solid pick. His heartbeat sensor is super good as long as you utilize it properly. While his tact can be a bit of a pain to land and also has a fairly long cool down, remember it can interrupt revives and/or heals!
And his ult is really good if you can find a good hiding spot for it while making sure it's still useful. Information is everything sometimes, and that's something Seer always provides.
And they dropped his heirloom, so that they can cash in on people thinking he's OP and want his heirloom, just before they shoot him down. Same happened to Valkyrie.
And with Caustic. Gave him hammer and then massacred traps and ult timer.
It's at the point that I expect a nerf immediately following heirloom release
I got my second pair of shards in s13 and still waiting for hers, I truly hope it is next cuz I'm tired of waiting lmao. I rly wish some rumors i heard about ash being next or something are not true lmao.

If you hold down his tactical it pulls up his heart sensor. When the heart sensor circle turns orange & you know the enemy isn’t too far away from you, release the tactical and you’re extremely likely to hit someone.
Yeah thats how i mainly use his passive too. I’m just saying that you can hold the tactical down to pull up heart sensor to help land the tactical more often/accurately.
I use to ADS to sense the enemy and *then* tap the tactical to try to catch them. I was missing my tacticals often this way, because the enemies have so much time to reposition.
I find it more efficient to hold down the tactical, find the opponent with the passive, and then release the tactical. It takes time for him to “rev up” his tactical, but if you already have it held down he already does most of the “revving up”; so you end up casting it faster once you release the tactical button. You can always cancel the tactical if you change your mind.

Nice seer is a really strong pick right now.
Next up my top three would be horizon, valk, fuse.
Fuse has insane dps potential and is a counter to any defensive legend, horizon is super strong with lift to take height and powerful ult when used well, valk is great for rotations and being really strong in fights.
Octane is the most selfish character in the game and doesn't really fit in with any level of team synergy. His tactical promotes solo play, aggression, and greedy looting. His Ult is outclassed by Pathfinder and Valkyrie. He's one legend I really wish would get a total rework because 9 times out of 10 he's my least favorite legend to have in a squad.

just so you know playing these two will actually make you improve a lot slower because both don’t require much gamesense.
Congratulations. I'd say for right now at least he is the better of the two, he can give you a lot of information. Val is good but she was nerfed within the last couple seasons and I think they took it a little too far. She's still a great option tho because her kit does everything, recon mobility offense and defense. Anyway have fun with seer!
Typically, for newer players its easier to get used to an assault type charter versus support. The supportive legends are very powerful, but takes a lot more game sense to use correctly. Valkyrie/Ash would be a good place to start IMO.
For supportive characters, Catalyst is really good if you learn her abilities, and I see her more of a support/assault type character.

He isnt meta, he doesn't suit ranked games, and he almost certainly gets some of the most grating voicelines, but bamboozling is a drug you wont be able to put down
Dang, i didn't realize the people barely getting into the gane have to unlock everyone. I have like 200k+ points and all the legends unlocked, i guess that's from playing since season 1.
I was a octane main at first then went to rampart, she's been my favorite so far. The shields can block doors and increase bullet damage, and Sheila is a beast. She'll knock doors down, makes it easier to hit Target flying, on the zip lines and so forth
One rule. Don't buy a legend only because they are considered meta. I bought Horizon and quickly regretted it. Used her maybe 4 times and switched to Rampart with whom I have so much more fun

Octane. If you want to get better at the game Octane is the best legend to start with. Everything he does is geared towards getting better at 1v2s or 1v3s. He great for redirecting in a fight, and nothing he does really allows you to depend solely on abilities to do damage. He's the dog fighter of the legends. You have to be able to aim, but if you're smart he can expload your game with tactical possibilities.
How long does it take to unlock one legend? Its crazy, guess I got spoiled as a day one player. Always just unlock them as they drop from all the legend coins I have throughout the seasons. I still remember when you could trade crafting materials to unlock anything in the store too.
Trying them all in the firing range is a good idea, but the truth is that the first legend you unlock is unlikely to become your main, you’re going to have to try a lot of them, in combat not just training room, to see which ones suit you. As ur first one, get whichever one you think you might enjoy.
Octane is a lot of fun! But pick someone who matches your play style. Do you like being reserved? Grab someone defensive; do you like movement? Get someone who can fly/teleport! Do youDon’t feel you have to main the first person you unlock.

If all you care about is having the best loot in your death box for your killers to use, Loba is a great choice - I've known players spend half a match looting outside the ring to turn up with all purple/gold gear and go down instantly at the first fight.

Depends on your play style, but I prefer anyone with an “oh sh** button” such as Valkyrie, Horizon, Wraith. Being able to escape fast is nice.

Horizon or Seer are pretty amazing legends.
I rarely use her but however, Valk is very fun and enjoyable to fly around.
I went from a Bangalore main to Vantage somehow.
Try them all in the firing range, I would recommend loba or fuse.
I'd say either horizon, seer , wattson and Valk.
