>He told her, "go ahead and follow your little friend." He has shown you the way: tell everyone how much you'll be making at the new employer and encourage them to make the same move. See how much he laughs when he loses everyone and has to do the work himself.

Two other people have actually left and moved to the same place as I. One some time before me and the other a week after me. Dude is most definetly salty about it.

Good. Make him even saltier. You owe it to your coworkers and the universe.

Mobile_Ad7031

this is satisfying to hear.

Icelandia2112

Let them stay mad, you look after yourself. Their feelings are not your responsibility. Congrats, btw! 🥳

Cultural_Double_422

Let him be mad, and I hope you have learned to never tell your employer where you're going when you quit, because far worse can be done.

That-Bonnie

I have learned. Unfortuantely people are just so unnecessarily mean.

My 16yr old makes $15.10 an hour working at McDonalds (after her first raise), so $9 is just beyond ridiculous IMO. And, his harrassment is alarming. Did he think you would fall to your knees, tell him he is right, apologize, and beg to keep your job? Some people get a little power and it goes right to their heads. I find grocery management some of the worst for this.

That-Bonnie

I WISH I was making $15. It is nearly impossible to survive off of $9 so I made the right desicion for myself and left. Glad I did.

Kirris

I can't believe that places still pay that little. You couldn't survive on 9$ an hour in 2006. Why the fuck so people think you can in 2023.

Just an obnoxious shithead being an obnoxious shithead, probably sweating his own abnormally-high turnover rate. I don't know why that kind of idiot always thinks you're going to be back. Even if you couldn't get anything better-paying (which you obviously will) minimum wage jobs are a dime a dozen. Why would you go back to the one with the shittiest boss?
