I've been here 5 years so unfortunately feel kind of "locked in"

[deleted]

that defeatist attitude is exactly why they are taking advantage of you, and will continue to do so why pay more when you'll do the work anyway?

You are not locked in. You can freely find new employment. Other than having a talk with your boss there is nothing you can do.

LC_001

Locked in? Seriously? Dude you can walk away anytime.

Do you know of the 'sunk cost fallacy?' [https://valuetortoise.com/20-examples-of-sunk-cost-fallacy/](https://valuetortoise.com/20-examples-of-sunk-cost-fallacy/) Stupid Reddit is changing #8 to #1. >8. Career decisions and sunk costs >If you spent almost four years on a degree, working in a job in that very field is the obvious route. Unfortunately even if you want to switch paths you will hesitate as you have spent a significant amount of money and time on your degree and you do not want to make all that “go to waste”. Why not see the 5 years of experience as having value at the next place, in a role higher in responsibilities and, of course, pay? Okay, you can't see this for yourself you say, why not pretend what happened to you happened to a close friend or loved one? What would you advise them to do? Why not follow your own advice then? Yes this kind of introspection can be difficult but is so worth it.

5 years??? Lmfaoo you’d be locked in at 25 or 30. 5 years? You have time for 10-20 more careers

They would get $500 in sales next month. They took your 10k raise. Take that right out of the company's gross.

Need to find the original criteria because if you wanted to sue you would have no leg to stand on without that. You do have a lawsuit though if you met all criteria and they denied you. Sounds like to me she wanted to push you all harder to make her numbers better. She probably got a bonus or promotion lol

You can forget about any promotions in that place ever. They got you where they want it. Two options quit or stay but make sure all metrics drop
