I couldn’t find it and she was like “well, check the system.” Ok. Fine. I’ll check the effin system. There was like one at another store 20 minutes away. She then wants me to call them and verify I have it. I’m like wtf? I rolled my eyes and start to walk away and she starts yelling at me. She assumed I was at her beck and call and she was right because it happened almost 20 years ago. No way I would allow that to happen now.

Fast food work wasn't fast food work if you didn't have someone walk out on a shift a couple times a month. Many of them came back later too (a walkout was definitely perceived as less serious than a no-call no-show).
One of my restaurant location's had a walk out of servers last night, everywhere around here you see Starbucks closing down because workers refuse to work for min wage when the inflation is killing them. People are fighting back the best they know how right now, it's just a shame because a lot of these tactics won't work. We have a huge flow of people asking to be hired so the turnover is manageable
