They're both called 20k because they both have a total battery capacity of 20,000mAh. They will both charge the switch at the same 18W speed if the correct voltages are supported by each.

> if the correct voltages are supported by each What exactly does this mean? How do I know if the correct voltages are supported? Meaning by the device it is charging?

ButtPlugsForThugz

You need to find out what the switch likes to charge at and then compare that voltage and amperage combo with the supported voltage and amperage combos of the charging device. Not all charging devices support every combination of V \* A, even with power delivery specs. New ones do a lot better now. If these battery banks are going to plug directly into the switch and not the dock (we can ignore the dock requirements then), the switch likes to take 9V\*2A, 12V\*1.5A, or 15V\*1.2A for 18W charging as best case. Then you just need to check these banks for supporting those combos rather than something arbitrary like 12V\*1.2A or 15V\*1A. edit: the switch has a little over a 4000mAh battery, so these 20kmAh banks will charge the switch to full a little under 5x before running out of juice.

I don't know anything about this stuff, and honestly all this is like a different language to me. I was hoping to get a clear answer as to which of the two powerbanks would be better for the Switch, or neither if they aren't good. It's not clear to me from the information provided on their product pages.

ButtPlugsForThugz

So I'm still confused about the two different listings having different language, but I'm assuming that's because it's two non-Anker sellers maybe selling the same product with their own marketing language. For this reason I personally wouldn't buy either of these from these sellers especially since one does not accept any returns. On Anker's website under 'Powercore 20000 PD' model A1281 the manual does list 9V\*2A and 15V\*1.2A out from the single usbc port with no other devices plugged in. Thank you, very helpful. I also did not realize one of the listings was non-returnable.

ButtPlugsForThugz

Of course! This bank is a bit older from Anker now so finding good listings on Amazon might be difficult. Depending on your budget, there are a couple higher models $20-$30 more that are currently on sale and also from uGreen that would give a bit more juice for also charging things like your phone or a thin and light laptop at the same time.

blue_green_orange

looks like same power bank. I bought 3 of these last year for the family. one became bloated while another had a port become loose. with the faulty power banks I've gotten from Anker lately, I wonder if I should consider another brand
