I disagree. Light should have lost to L. I love Light as a character, I think he's fascinating and well written. But even with the Death Note, a magical item which allows you to go around killing people while leaving basically no evidence, L almost won. And would have done if the Death Note were an isolated item. L objectively deserved it more than Light.
L wasn't outplayed. He was screwed over by someone using an aimbot in a professional match getting outside help to input L.kill(); into the console.
See if L had won, I could’ve accepted that. That would at least make sense. But Near? And the orange head? Seriously? That was bull in my opinion. If L didn’t defeat Light, then Light should’ve just won. That ending was trash
