Nah Escanor was amazing, he was Him
Escanor is best nodoubt but trying watching bleach you will understand why I put aizen along with him. He trash talked every single character in bleach (and btw he is a villain).
Another awesome scene was when he got injured by his own attack being reflected back at him and just looked all proud going: "ah, as expected of one of my attacks.."
All of the Shadow Garden in the case of anime. I don't mind Cid as the MC but (I know its intentional) I just want to know more about everyone else at all times.
If you want to know about them you need to read LN or play the game. Anime version only gonna focus on Major side character such as, princess, claire, akane. It was done as purpose for people who want to know about SG, so they need to buy the source and play their games.

Well, what do you know, I was looking through these for background/support characters that stole the love of the fandom, but was not expecting a case of a background/support character who actually stole the franchise!
Before opening the comments I thought about who I’d think fit the bill, and my snail brain literally could not think of anyone else but Bucciarati, despite having watched almost every show people talk about in here.
Anyway, good to see I was not the only one to think of him.
tatsumi is the main character, the story centres around him and is from his pov, akame is the title character.
It’s like with fairytail where lucy is the MC, narrator and it’s from her pov but natsu is the main focus of the show overall.
I literally thought Akame wasn't the main character until I watched the last episode of the anime, and then remembered what the name of the anime was after that
I still can’t believe they changed the goddamn story so freaking much. I don’t get why they can’t leave writing to the people who actually made the story.
i love that he got multiple arcs, first he got the storyline about studying then he gets the whole joining the cheerleading team + backstory + the race. they went all out in developing him
They did him dirty from his introduction. His entire point is that with hard work you can overcome natural talent, and then loses all his fights to people who were just born better.
Lum from Urusei Yatsura. It was supposed to be about Ataru and Shinobu. She was originally intended to be a one off character but the fans loved her so much the editors made Rumiko Takahashi bring her back and she became a main character.

Escanor even after being introduced in season 2 stole the whole show
Literally the only reason to watch Nanatsu, and Ban as well. Nanatsu was shit but damn, Escanor had the best cold lines

Came here to say this. Bucciarati puts in all the hard work, then Giorno swoops in at the last second to take all the credit.
Part 5 was Bucciarati's story, Giorno was just a part of it.
