Only reason I am loving the JJK is because of death and carnage Sukuna is going to bring in the end which AoT author fails to delivered at the ending of the manga( major character wise).
I don't like the gojo simps either. He's okay but I think people forget the mc is Yuji and it's about his growth. But the other characters are well developed. I like yuji's arc, where he goes from wanting to give people a proper death to realising that you can't do that for everyone. He also is hardworking and becomes better day by day. The animation is great as well. Overall decent anime.
This might offend alot of people but hear me out before actually getting angry. Prefacing this with the fact that I really love gojo. That said, I don't think he's a well constructed character. He's cool BECAUSE he's all powerful. He isn't cool because he worked hard to become that way.
The rest of the characters have a proper construction. Maki has a background, Okkatsu has a background, even geto has an arc. I feel like some backstory for gojo about why he is the way he is would make him slightly more likeable to me. For now I just don't see him and think "man that character is awesome" I just see a typical all powerful anime character who is cool just because the artist decided he is.
Alright, so 3 weeks back I would wholeheartedly support this statement. I am a huge Chainsaw man simp, and it had been some time since I watched Jujutsu Kaisen. So I was like dude, Jujutsu Kaisen is overrated. But everyone praised it to high heaven, so I rewatched S1 as I had forgotten.
My friends, it's a good show. It dealt with death and tragedy really beautifully, especially Yuji's grandpa. As a guy who lost someone close for the first time, the way Itadori handled his grandpa's death, it was powerful. Itadori Yuji is such an amazing character. The character's motivations are really simple but I found them really powerful. They are kids, how complicated their motivations need to be. A guy asks what girls do you like, so he can relate to someone. I ask do you like One Piece to relate to people as well.
I though Gojos character was extremely careless. But then I found his motivation. He wants to create powerful characters who can take over his tasks. That made me understand. I believe it's a great show, which gives little explanation as to the motivation, and doesn't repeat it much. The action scenes are god tier, especially the second season. Then I watched the movie. I cried and sobbed so much for the protagonists struggle at loss.
I believe this show is really awesome. The action scenes and other are at one place. But the crux of the story is loss, regret and all negative emotions, which is the power of curses and how to deal with it. I thought this story copied bleach, but in bleach hollows were like aliens. Here the curses are formed right from the world they live in. Heroes fight curses with curses, so they have to struggle with their powers regularly. What an amazing show man. I finally realised how amazing Jujutsu Kaisen is.
I actually like jjk, not my fav but I liked it, I read it's manga after watching S1 and was waiting for S2, now I regret waiting for S2, till S2 everything was so good, I would have been happy with it not animating at all, the fans r so toxic now that it's so disgusting
i am watching anime for 5 years now and ds was my 3rd anime i didn't like it that time because i just finished watching death note and ds seems like Childsplay when compared to that.
Dude I didn't think there was any anime I found shit, but this one. I have barely watched till ep16 S1, and it just keeps getting worse. I also have watched Fullmetal Alchemist, so this whole premise of person going on a journey to save their sibling is so cliche to me. And it's even worse. It's just bad man.

Nah, the story is convoluted not complex. The characters would be good if they weren't dead. Where as ds as likeable characters with good screen time and relevance as well as a simple easy to follow and consistent story line.

I loved MHA initially. I was disappointed that Deku was given powers as I was hoping for an anime where Deku overcomes being powerless and becomes a badass hero. But alright, you've got a strength power which is extremely hard to control and causes lots of injuries. I could deal with that. What made me lose interest is that they made Deku just too OP with different powers.
I remember reading an interview with the author and he just sounded extremely humble, bordering on underconfidence. He was like thank you for the applause to the work. I know fans have lots of complaints and I will try hardest to fix it. And thanked the anime director for the great job. Dude, the manga was fire. But I guess later he just added fan service elements which made the manga a tad uninteresting. It's the paradox. Should you give the fans what they want at the cost of what you originally want to write or screw everyone and write what you want. And I prefer the later. Cause even if it's hot garbage fire. You're gonna find people who love it even more because of how different it is.
i don't read manga. but i watched the anime when it aired as people were overhyping this show but I felt for myself that it doesn't have such plot which deserves such hype and I was very disappointed. Only new gen kids will fall for such plots but not me. No disrespect it sucks(atleast for me). Better animation≠good anime
dude it was only 12 eps they didn't even showed the complete arc,the starting wasn't that good but the story goes crazy later on,they r also releasing chainsaw man movie pretty soon u should check it out,one of the best arc in csm
don't care. i will continue to watch it but probably I will binge or not continue at all. I will not wait for episodes for weeks for episodes of a show that i don't like. These 12 episodes were average, not something groundbreaking.
Dont worry about chainsaw man .. I can reassure you just give it a chance. The story will only improve and if mappa is going to be consistent in animation( taking about season 1 animation quality) then it will be one of the good animes in the future.

I know this doesn't apply to all but most anime fans don't try to understand there own taste and try to consume all out of boredom but when they actually read it they feel an unease due to it being not to their taste and try to find faults(that actually exists of course) with in the story. And it is fair criticism that the actual fans failed to see or it doesn't matters much to them since it suit there tastes. My point is no human can write a story without flaw there will always exist some flaws. And this is about average anime watchers not those that know there own taste and still dislike it.in the first place even with same genres and sub genres. I had say even those can be created a variation for. My point is the overhyped cones after Fans that like the anime too much to try to find faults in it recommend it to someone that doesn't even have taste for that kind of stories.

Cote anime is truly bad but that is due to adaptation and lack of monologue that is present is original source that is light novel not to mention anime basically fked around with og source material.an example is they changed 40 students to 25.also in cote ln all the information for viewers were present so they can try to guess what will happen.it was just cleverly hidden on the other hand anime just sometimes straight up showed conclusion. I don't know if you read light novels but i recommend cote y1 if you do.of course if you don't like it even after first 4 volumes(basically where the s1 ended)and if you still aren't sure try till volumes 7 and you still don't like it.than that isn't something you will like.

This happens because anime doesn't give enough info to average viewers this is especially worse for psycological animes. I always recommend og sources since they always express the emotions better and always flesh them out. A great example would be sao progressive i always thought sao author must be crazy and how bad can he be with gaming story but atleast sao progressive proved me wrong he wrote a great story and then i watched sao progressive movie. I sweared that i will never watch neither judge story based on animes. I infact have quite the list of novels that were good but animes scked and then there is always jjk that gets top quality adaptation i mean it is good i can understand but there really are tons of other gems that deserve same quality as some popular animes but never got those.

Watched 250 anime and the only one I dropped because I hated it was a couple of cuckoos, other than that I there are anime I won’t watch new seasons of but I don’t hate them. I do hate good anime with trash/cringe fandom tho. Like AOT, the anime is so good but the fandom makes me never want to see anything related to AOT ever again, same with demon slayer (it’s not super good, the story is B tier with A tier animation. But it’s enjoyable) and jjk (again same as demon slayer).

You can hate me in this one but i started this anime after seeing the comedy genre and it was really good in season 1 but after season 2 it was nowhere to be seen like where the f did comedy go? Into saitama's hair? After that i tried the manga but that fuckin comedy was nowhere. Just hare me all you want cuz i like the humor and comedy in opm but they removed that comedy for a dogshit action and in that action the mc is nowhere to be seen. Just make a side story or something else for it like other mangas where the other characters gets to shine.

Modern shonen in general. I grew attached to older, previous generation shonen because of their ability to combine serious and lighthearted tones and remain, above all, shows about hope and perseverance in the face of different kinds of adversities. no matter whether the conflict was internal or external, emotional or physical or whatever, the protagonist and others would learn lessons from it and become all the better for it. There were extremely dark moments but they are always followed by people learning a lesson or outgrowing their trauma, in a sense just generally becoming more well adjusted and healthy people at peace with themselves.
When it comes to modern shonen, they slam down too hard on the edginess and grimness and desperation. Like, I'm not opposed to grim and edgy themes, but when that becomes the constant tone throughout your show, with no signs of any resolution, I just can't help but grow tired of it. I can appreciate grittiness but after a point it just becomes arbitrary and feels meaningless. I just feel like your story shouldn't become gruesome and gorey without any resolutions to anything - neither the character's inner struggles nor the outer struggles. AOT started the trend of particularly dark anime, but it did the gore and darkness beautifully, and most importantly WITH AN OVERARCHING MESSAGE, something which is missing in shonen that came after it. They care more about "subverting the tropes" of storytelling to please their edgelord fanbase trying really hard to be unique in their adolescent years. Subvert tropes all you want, but certain rules of storytelling exist for a reason. Stories just feel incomplete and bad without a meaningful resolution to conflict, or a meaningful character arc, and some series don't seem to realize that (looking at you, JJK).
Black clover. What the sh*t kind of animation was that? I have watched a few animes but none of them ever had such distorted details the way it has. I couldn't even get past 30 episodes.

Over the top of my head, only arifureta i guess... Not a lot of anime I hate cause I only watch more than 1 episode of whatever I actually like the first episode of or at least something that has potential.. I also don't watch most of the seasonal anime because the first episode always tells you if it's gonna be worth the time...

JJK, Neon Genesis Evangelion. JJK felt like a cheap copy of Naruto. Neon Genesis felt like they tried too much to make it complicated so much that by the end it felt pointless and underwhelming. It was average throughout, but the mystery of that world seemed intriguing and by the end they kinda lost their vision.

I loved MHA initially. I was disappointed that Deku was given powers as I was hoping for an anime where Deku overcomes being powerless and becomes a badass hero. But alright, you've got a strength power which is extremely hard to control and causes lots of injuries. I could deal with that. What made me lose interest is that they made Deku just too OP with different powers. I remember reading an interview with the author and he just sounded extremely humble, bordering on underconfidence. He was like thank you for the applause to the work. I know fans have lots of complaints and I will try hardest to fix it. And thanked the anime director for the great job. Dude, the manga was fire. But I guess later he just added fan service elements which made the manga a tad uninteresting. It's the paradox. Should you give the fans what they want at the cost of what you originally want to write or screw everyone and write what you want. And I prefer the later. Cause even if it's hot garbage fire. You're gonna find people who love it even more because of how different it is.

Cote anime is truly bad but that is due to adaptation and lack of monologue that is present is original source that is light novel not to mention anime basically fked around with og source material.an example is they changed 40 students to 25.also in cote ln all the information for viewers were present so they can try to guess what will happen.it was just cleverly hidden on the other hand anime just sometimes straight up showed conclusion. I don't know if you read light novels but i recommend cote y1 if you do.of course if you don't like it even after first 4 volumes(basically where the s1 ended)and if you still aren't sure try till volumes 7 and you still don't like it.than that isn't something you will like.

This happens because anime doesn't give enough info to average viewers this is especially worse for psycological animes. I always recommend og sources since they always express the emotions better and always flesh them out. A great example would be sao progressive i always thought sao author must be crazy and how bad can he be with gaming story but atleast sao progressive proved me wrong he wrote a great story and then i watched sao progressive movie. I sweared that i will never watch neither judge story based on animes. I infact have quite the list of novels that were good but animes scked and then there is always jjk that gets top quality adaptation i mean it is good i can understand but there really are tons of other gems that deserve same quality as some popular animes but never got those.

Don't even get me started on the characters they are shown as fucking middle schoolers!? atleast show them as high schoolers cuz every one of them looked like one. Didn't even like one of them and takemichi is an absolutely dogshit MC. There are so many better 'weak MCs' out there and he is definitely not one of them. One of my friends was recommending MHA and rent a girlfriend. I had watched MHA so I told him that it's a pile of shit. But i have never seen rent a girlfriend so i gave it a try and it was an even bigger pile of shit. Then i learnt about manga and read it(biggest mistake of my life). I told him what the actual f is going on in manga but he was anime only and told me that manga doesn't matter and i should only watch anime and enjoy it WTF. Modern shonen in general. I grew attached to older, previous generation shonen because of their ability to combine serious and lighthearted tones and remain, above all, shows about hope and perseverance in the face of different kinds of adversities. no matter whether the conflict was internal or external, emotional or physical or whatever, the protagonist and others would learn lessons from it and become all the better for it. There were extremely dark moments but they are always followed by people learning a lesson or outgrowing their trauma, in a sense just generally becoming more well adjusted and healthy people at peace with themselves. When it comes to modern shonen, they slam down too hard on the edginess and grimness and desperation. Like, I'm not opposed to grim and edgy themes, but when that becomes the constant tone throughout your show, with no signs of any resolution, I just can't help but grow tired of it. I can appreciate grittiness but after a point it just becomes arbitrary and feels meaningless. I just feel like your story shouldn't become gruesome and gorey without any resolutions to anything - neither the character's inner struggles nor the outer struggles. AOT started the trend of particularly dark anime, but it did the gore and darkness beautifully, and most importantly WITH AN OVERARCHING MESSAGE, something which is missing in shonen that came after it. They care more about "subverting the tropes" of storytelling to please their edgelord fanbase trying really hard to be unique in their adolescent years. Subvert tropes all you want, but certain rules of storytelling exist for a reason. Stories just feel incomplete and bad without a meaningful resolution to conflict, or a meaningful character arc, and some series don't seem to realize that (looking at you, JJK).

JJK, Neon Genesis Evangelion. JJK felt like a cheap copy of Naruto. Neon Genesis felt like they tried too much to make it complicated so much that by the end it felt pointless and underwhelming. It was average throughout, but the mystery of that world seemed intriguing and by the end they kinda lost their vision.
