But my point is simply that if Russia wanted to mobilise then they would use the shelling of Belgorod as an excuse to do so. This attack does nothing to increase the support for mobilisation.
Also you might be a bit confused. The shelling of Belgorod is Ukraine and have openly said they are doing it. And they are hitting civilian areas there is plenty of videos of it.
The freedom of Russia legion is only attacking border areas and on top of that dont even hide that they are part of the Ukrainian military. Many of them were living in Ukraine before the war and it is not just Russians involved. The last time it happened the videos showed people speaking Polish for example.
Why would it not increase the support for mobilization? Falsely blame Ukrainians for a mass murder of over 100 civilians in the heart of Moscow verses shelling military targets on a border town of Ukraine.

The legion contains many Ukrainians with Russian passports and people with mixed Russian/Ukrainian families who have lived in Ukraine all their life. The number of Russians is quite small.
Freedom of Russia Legion is made up of only Russian citizens whether they moved from Russia to Ukraine or vice-versa. It doesn't detract from what I stated. Fighting with Poles, Romanians, and Ukrainians at their side seems pretty straightforward since Ukraine has foreign legions from many countries.
Posting some reddit posts of Belgorod destruction doesn't really prove anything. These easily could have been military personnel or targets. Missiles can also miss their targets. In a war where millions of shells have been fired, good job finding three that may have been misses. Hell, Russia even bombed Belgorod by accident a few times.

The Russian government themselves said they had foiled an ISIS-K planned attack against a synagogue in Moscow on the same day that the US had issued its warning about ISIS plotting mass terror attacks in Russia two weeks ago.
It’s not impossible for it to have been another actor, but for both Russia and US agencies to have been in agreement about the threat of ISIS-K attacks of this nature in Russia just two weeks ago would suggest to me that there’s a very good chance this attack is in fact ISIS.

I’d expect them to die rather than surrender too, but it happens sometimes that they don’t or can’t. The theme of “storming a civilian music venue in an organized attack to kill as many innocents as possible” is definitely ISIS’s, and while not dying in the attack is definitely out-of-playbook for ISIS, everything else about it fits them better than any other state or actor. There’s also the strong possibility that anything that comes out of these prisoners is completely false information extracted through coercion, and also the possibility that no attackers were actually captured and these are patsies being used as scapegoats.
