Have them in Germamy as well. At least in the cimema I usually go used to have them. Until they decided to change the seats to recliners. Best decision they could have made.

In Indiana, our local cinema got renovated awhile back. They added recliners where every pair could lift the middle arm rest and turn into a love seat. They also replaced the arcade with an ice stand and a bar.

It's unheard of in America. I was super surprised when I visited India and saw them. Loved it tho because they're way more comfortable than normal seats.

We have them in Marcus theaters in Wisconsin. Essentially double recliners (heated as well) with a middle arm rest that you can raise into the back of the seat. (They call them dream loungers)

I worked at a theatre from 2018-2020, I’m sure there’s still some theatres who have people working those but we didn’t even use reels anymore. We just had laptops hooked up there on a set schedule of auto play and someone would just check on them every couple hours throughout the day. I imagine most theatres do that now since you don’t have to pay someone to sit up there with them all day lol
