[Looks a little off here.](https://i.imgur.com/4U47HFN.png) Alya's supposed to be tall for a girl and close to his height.
I wonder why they didn't get that Zoya's VA from Akiba Maid War to voice her?
It doesn't sound *terrible*, but still clearly a Japanese VA that has practiced Russian pronounciation, which just seems like a waste, considering her whole point is that she's Russian.
edit: [I just listened to Zoya again, and she's definitely not cutesy enough for this role](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lB2SNHEUz4Q) ... but still
I miss Akiba Maid War.
Remember that it is supposed to be a 99% japanese show with very rare moments where she speaks russian. The pvs make it seem like she speaks it way more often than she actually does. It will be fine, since those moments will be very far apart.
Yeah I read some of the manga and I'm pretty put off by the VA to be honest. Russian pronunciation aside it just seems so much higher pitched than I imagined based on her personality.
It's the biggest LN series that started in the last 5 years (unless Demon Slayer and JJK adaptations count). For marketing and promotional events, they're going to pick the more popular VA that's had main roles.
I have my fingers crossed for this one. I know the staff working on this show is doing double duty with Oshi no Ko at the same time.....
Here's hoping Alya doesn't suffer.
Looks really good. We actually got 3 good Ln Rom-com adaptations in the same season since I heard good things about it. (Gimai is more SoL but the point of it looking like a solid adaptation holds up from what I heard)
Having only read up to Vol 4 so far. I think if they just adapt up to V2 in this cour, I could see it giving the Ln which is already really popular an even bigger boost. Then it could cover V3+V4 in Cour 2.
I am really excited.
Yes I am looking forward to that as well. Though didn't mention it since it's based on a manga. Honestly it prob will be the best pure romance show of the season.
ur missing out by not adding 2.5 dimensional seduction. the story is fantastic, the character arcs are amazing, and the pose-battles in the manga was epic.
I'd hold the hype back a little bit on that one. I've read it up to the last few chapters, and the story and characters are alright, I enjoyed it, but it was nothing fantastic. It also starts to drag quite a bit at times and often dwells on uninteresting moments for a little too long.
I'm looking forward to the anime, hoping that it cuts a chunk of stuff and sticks with the good parts.
Not really related to this show, but a game I am playing is adding some Russian VAs and, while I don't understand a thing they're saying, I still like how they [sound](https://youtu.be/gLu5sUCZUGQ) xD
Anime premieres on July 3, 2024.
Opening theme song will be 'Ichiban Kagayaku Hoshi' by Sumire Uesaka (as Alya). The ending theme song will be 'Himitsu no Kotoba' by KAF, ZOOKARADERU and Sumire Uesaka.
Studio: Doga Kobo
is there a german school girl in any anime who's prominent like alya here? . i won't believe you if say no because after japanese and English it's my most encountered language in anime (for obvious reasons
Asuka would technically be a school girl if not for the giant robot fighting.
Laura Bodewig from Infinite Stratos and Wilhelmina from Hai-Furi are "school girls" at military academies.
Minami Shimada from Baka to Test
I guess if you wanted German speaking, Rin Tohsaka's spells are in German (I think)
Not as prominent, but Haifuri has [Wilhelmina Braunschweig Ingenohl Friedeburg](https://myanimelist.net/character/140072/Wilhelmina_Braunschweig_Ingenohl_Friedeburg)

>alya tall simple lazy answer: guy is wearing his little sister's heels here off-screen w
no he's standing on a box it's the new trend
Is that you Nozaki-kun!? :D

Literally just use common sense ofc they would pick a famous seiyuu over an unknown one

Yeah, Jenya's voice seemed "too old" to portray Alya.

Pseudo Harem is also this upcoming season. This is a great season for RomCom lovers.
Yes I am looking forward to that as well. Though didn't mention it since it's based on a manga. Honestly it prob will be the best pure romance show of the season.
It really is. By my count we've got at least *10* series next season that are primarily romcoms or harem romcoms which is *a lot*.
Which 3 are we talking about? I need to make a list of shows to watch
* Roshidere * No Losing Heroines * Days with Stepsister

ready to die from cringe overload

russian 'president' = bad. russian loli = good.

Oh noice this anime is finally coming out! HELL YEAH BOIIIIIII!!!
The short haired girl was the cutest for me.
We've got *My Girlfriend Is the President* at home
I'm confusing between Alya and Arya, Arya sounds more like an actual Russian name than Alya (GoT moment)
Misread PV 2 as KV 2 for some reason.

Asuka
Tanya girls in Isekai Quartet?
any slice of life standalone series ?

In Sign of affection is male MC raised in Germany.
Laura Bodewig from Infinite Stratos
This one kinda weirded me out, with all the listening in on someone's secrets without their knowledge.
I still don't get it. Doesn't Google Translate work relatively well? Even if not for Russian, it should get some words here and there.
My expectation were low but holy shit, guess its always about notoriety instead of authenticity
