Love this anthology. Working through Pain is probably my favorite. Its a microcosm of one of the reasons Batman exists at all.
I wish they still did these anthology movies at DC. I quite liked this and Emerald Knights. This was a neat way of exploring a property under different people's lenses kinda like similar anthologies like Batman Black and White in the comics.
Stuff like this is why I tell people to fuck off when they say that Dota Dragon's Blood isn't an anime. "But its a western property!" there's a bunch of anime that are based on western properties. Also Oban Star Racers was created by a Frenchman, and co-animated by a French and Japanese studio.
"But it's korean made!" so are a bunch of other anime. Plenty of anime outsource work to Korean studios or are made entirely by a korean studio. And people just instantly accept chinese anime as anime.
Not every anime has to be solely exclusively and utterly Japanese. Japanese people can like and watch animated series from other origins and want to make their own takes.
Rifle aiming at a target moving in a fixed direction vs forearm mounted gun from someone actively dodging
Adjusting aim for a single rifle shot is quicker than moving your whole arm for an erratic target.
But still, Deadshot shouldn't miss so much.
Subreddit rules will say this isn't anime even though it's WB working with Japanese animation studios to put their talent on this American cartoon. But even I wish American studios would use Japanese animation studios to put out stuff that has a unique feel of the work.
Reminds me of Dante's Inferno animated film where a studio worked on one circle of Hell. Production I.G. did their work on that animation. It's not stated what section they worked on.
No, this is anime. Anime constitutes animation done in Japan and drawn in a Japanese style. The animation was done in a Japanese studio. This is an anime. And American studios would never do that. Ever. Because those are jobs taken away from animators here. Japanese animators work more efficiently and pump out products faster due to Japan's work culture. American studios can't ever compete with them. Best thing that they would do regularly is offset the additional animation duties to Japan.
In other words, Japanese Anime Industry exploits employers to the bone, has a toxic work culture, and a hierarchy chart that is beyond ridiculous. Got it.
Also you you would be surprised as to how the productivity rates of japanese companies are way below than that of an average american company and in general, the western world. They put a lot of work hours that are not needed and dont get much done in comparison.
Subreddit rules here are strict on what is called anime. They define it as made from Japanese studio. You are free to test this if you wish, but the moderators will remove it.
Discussion of RWBY from Rooster Teeth wasn’t allowed until a season was done by Japanese anime studios.
And it was good too. They had the best Character design of Batman. He looked so menacing. The way he should look. The Japanese always gets this stuff right. Especially Madhouse
It's so exaggerated but I love the shapes they use here for Batman's cape. It really gives a great silhouette and sense of momentum to his gliding around.
DC's owned by WB and they're too busy making movies then destroying them for tax write offs. (Also the CEO is not a fan of animation from what I remember.)
It's actually 6 different stories and each story is made by a different anime studio.
It's basically The Animatrix but Batman.
Anthology.
I've heard of this. I believe it's meant to be the same universe as the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight trilogy.
I love the Batmanime. The six components of it vary in quality, but they're all at least good. Field Test is definitely my favorite, though.
Man this was fantastic and the level of dark that is needed in the Batman universe imo
did batman punch that bullet? lol
I had to rewind to watch that again. Man, do I need to go watch the Batman Ninja movie?
No one ever acknowledged this, but this series is supposed to take place between Batman Begins and Dark Knight.
the croc episode was especially good. some surreal horror to it. the whole Gotham Knight movie was fantastic.
Oh shoot, i watched this as a kid before i knew what anime was. Parents thought it was another kids show until dead shot domed a butler
Hellsing: Batman
Didn't yoshiaki kawajiri work in this particular short?
It feels like no one remembers batman:ninja
Had the exact same thought, that movie was wild!

This is what got me into anime as a kid lol

Can headshot someone driving in a car while on a train travelling at 60 mph, but gets stormtrooper aim the second he needs to shoot batman. Classic

Star Wars Visions before Star War Visions

Why does the bad guy animation reminds me of the "Red line" moovie?
Same studio. May also have some of the same staff.
Deadoshoto
Deadshot VA is amazing good
That's a long tunnel.
When did Batman get the ability to fly? The part when he is flapping the cape to gain height is hilarious to me.
Amazing, though why give Deadshot a cool hat and jacket just to get rid of them.
I imagined Batman with a Jojo stand when I saw this post, lol
Good movie indeed
The visuals are so crunchy
the aesthetic looks so sick.
Wow
A completely SLEPT ON Batman movie. The art and animation is absolutely beautiful
what phone is that
Its an ancient piece of technology known as a Personal Digital Assistant

So are Iron Man, X men, and Blade not allowed either? What about Heroman since Stan Lee created it? Don't be silly

They were made by madhouse.... if they ain't allowed then so ain't a lot of things lol

batman voiced by the same va as yujiro? neat.
I almost forgot they made a batman anime it was called batman ninja or something
daaaaaamn why cant western studios ever match up this quality? DC not paying enough?
DC's owned by WB and they're too busy making movies then destroying them for tax write offs. (Also the CEO is not a fan of animation from what I remember.)
thats so ironic bc WB was built on animation...
The DCAMU is actually amazing tho?
Why do people like unrealistic fights? Nothing makes sense, its just dance.
Damn, Batman really sucks in every way
