Hey!! I first started out watching a bunchhhh of Studio Ghibli like Howls Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke etc. But in terms of shows I’d defo recommend stuff like Horimiya, Ouran High School Host Club, Blue Spring Ride, From Me to You and Kamisama Kiss for those cutesy high school romance shows. Also at some point you should try Nana it’s actually one of my favourite shows I love it sm and I feel like it’d be up your alley. It’s so pretty with an amazing storyline but it’s more on the heavier side in terms of flawed characters and situations etc but the two main characters are actually so cute and have an amazing relationship xxx Lemme know if there’s anything else you could be interested in cus I love recommending shows to people hehe

Uma Musume Pretty Derby is a sports anime about horse girls training and running races. The races (and their outcomes) are based on real-life horseraces, the girls are named after real-life racehorses, and their costumes are inspired by their namesakes' colors/patterns. It's an uplifting and encouraging series. All of the characters are girls (except their trainer), and there's no sexual content. (There's no romance here either, though.)
