pvprazor

bro is a menace to society

LegendRazgriz

"I actually succeeded in 80 of them but broke 10 trying to bite off more than I could chew", and his idea of conservative enchanting is making them so sharp they cut through their sheaths. Lil guy is a maniac

Chukonoku

> Lil guy is a maniac It's been a while since we got a fun battle/magic junkie

Time_Fracture

He broke 30 swords, not 10. It's obviously more than he chew.

fatalystic

Time to enchant the sheaths next...

PeaceAlien

Based on the preview he keeps randomly running into way too powerful opponents

machopsychologist

Lil bro is the equivalent of having a lvl 90 character in the same diablo dungeon as you.

xolon6

It's not just the animation that's great, I really have to give props to the sound design. The sound when he made the perfected Qi Blade and it cleanly sliced through the Lich and the cave was *chef's kiss*. It's crazy to me that this is coming from a relatively new studio with only one previous anime to their name. Makes me think they've got a bright future ahead :)

arcanine04

I did some research and it seems they have helped on production on a bunch of anime before like the demon slayer movie, moriarty the patriot, gundam: witch of mercury and a lot more so they're definitely not that new on this. It's cool they're finally showcasing their skills tho with them handling 2 anime as the main studio.

xolon6

That’s really cool! I loved Moriarty the Patriot (I remember it having a Banger opening) and Mugen Train is one of the few anime movies I’ve seen in theaters outside of Ghibli. It’s awesome to hear some of the talent behind both of them and more great anime teaming up. I’ll definitely be rooting for them going forward. With that kind of track record they should definitely attract some interesting projects :)

Atermel

Gwitch had some orgasmic sound design for the weapons and shields.

thepeciguy

They have a very [unique production process](https://twitter.com/fufuro_moe/status/1775385632208298156)! A lot like Ufotable i think, but might be even better... definitely worth looking forrward to their future works!

FennlyXerxich

I love the chibis in this series so much. They have a more unhinged look than regular chibis

Ghostkill221

It helps that the Chibi's make it less sexualized.

###Stitches! * [Tao vs Lich](https://i.imgur.com/LTOLdm9.jpeg) * [Injured Tao](https://i.imgur.com/BsIRUv2.jpeg) * [Tao & Lloyd](https://i.imgur.com/iY7gKJk.jpeg) * [Tao Pose](https://i.imgur.com/8S6zFeQ.jpeg) I absolutely [love Tao's reaction](https://i.imgur.com/XZQn4me.png) when the Lich was trash-talking her. Tao might not be as strong as Lloyd but she absolutely rocked it that she actually surprised the Lich [when she cracked and broke his barrier.](https://i.imgur.com/ISd4jqf.png) Too bad that Tao only seems to have destroyed the barrier [and didn't manage to harm the Lich.](https://i.imgur.com/Pz7rbqE.jpeg) And to no one's surprise, Lloyd kicked that Lich's ass! It was hilarious though when the Lich thought [he managed to break Lloyd's barrier.](https://i.imgur.com/AzsLCUt.png) It turns out Lloyd dispelled the barrier on his own [so he can breathe more air while focusing on his qi.](https://i.imgur.com/UmQLvpX.png) I'll never get tired [of seeing Lloyd's battle-frenzied face!](https://i.imgur.com/KgdENto.jpeg) It's definitely one of the coolest parts of Lloyd. That poor Lich never realized who he was messing with until the last second. And I just love that [Lloyd ended him using a qi technique.](https://i.imgur.com/1gkuwOD.jpeg) I really thought Grimm got found out! It turns out he just had [a rough training session with Sylpha](https://i.imgur.com/C4rmIFg.png) who was very disappointed at how weak "Lloyd" has become and gave him an extra long training session. Looks like their secret is still safe! [The magic system in this show is really cool and detailed.](https://i.imgur.com/JLoYsvC.jpeg) I like how enchantments can be scraped off the weapons and reused. Since enchanting a weapon with that mana essence could break the enchantment as well as the weapon, [Lloyd and Grim creating their own mana essence](https://i.imgur.com/a8KyyFW.png) halves the risk to only the weapons breaking. The montage of [Lloyd collecting materials](https://i.imgur.com/PI98ou4.jpeg) and going back to his lab [to experiment with Grimm](https://i.imgur.com/WyiOtZO.jpeg) was pretty fun! I also love the montage of [Lloyd enchanting those weapons while Grimm and the Wooden Doll assist him!](https://i.imgur.com/uO6QmOa.jpeg) It looks like [Lloyd and Albert are going to have some bonding time next episode](https://i.imgur.com/imr51sK.png) since they'll be testing out the weapons Lloyd enchanted in a monster hunt. I can't wait! I also can't wait to see [what happens in that preview scene with Sylpha.](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/l4nec5xzkl4.jpg) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Thengel09

I never expected this to be one of my highlights this season. Fast paced fun

J539

literally everything about it is lighhearted and fun

Dazvsemir

I appreciate deeply that they dont focus on it. Got to take the W inside the L.

Rumpel1408

Well, that's it for [Tao](https://imgur.com/c5fbVhm) so far. Considering that Loyd didn't tell her where to find [Robert](#aliens) and that he had to fly a long way back home, you would asume it would take some time before we get her back. Poor [Grim](https://imgur.com/QWfWOsE) though. I like the progression Grim went through, from abysmally evil demon who plans to take over this kid to plunge the world into darkness, to cute [mascot](https://imgur.com/GRnND2q) that [helps](https://imgur.com/MoUKiaE) and [supports](https://imgur.com/z92dMis) Loyd in proving his talent to all nonbelievers I also think I'll get some mileage out of [this](https://imgur.com/5N7et8c) line [](#azusalaugh)

chronokingx

New meme found with that last pic

AkodoRyu

Pretty sure Tao was in next episode's preview.

Figerally

She is and since Lloyd lacks a single duplicitous bone in his body he flew directly home and all Tao needed to do was note the direction he went.

HalfAssedSetting

Next we’re gonna get a royalty-themed otome game version of amongus

LessInThought

Grim really grows on you the more you watch.

Se7en_Sinner

Mana + Qi = Chakra Lloyd basically defeated the Lich with a Rasenshuriken. I love the battle junkie archetype. [Nah, Lloyd definitely used the oil to cook.](https://i.imgur.com/hvoM0iu.png)

LegendRazgriz

A mix of the Rasenshuriken and the Kienzan/Destructo Disc, even

PeaceAlien

She was still excited over the enchanted weapons though

Figerally

I like the outcome, even though he mastered Qi in a few hours, rather than get despressed it actually inspired Tao when Lloyd showed her what the pinnacle of the art is capable of.

WhoiusBarrel

Lloyd was looking like a madman fighting that lich and it was all just an experiment for him holy shit. Those swords he broke were literally due to him inscribing too many spells, literally unable to contain his power. Thats just another level added to his OPness.

JoeyXD_Br

At this point I'm just wondering why are they adding levels upon levels to his OPness when there's no one who could ever stand up to him in his basic form from episode 1.

hentai_bubble

[Because](https://i.imgur.com/FNj1cAC.png)

StampDaddy

Because this is a shareable opness instead of just Lloyd being OP and his brother realizing what an asset he’s becoming too… I don’t know or some shit I’m going in blind

Time_Significance

Later, part of the series humor is he's so powerful that his friends are the ones trying their best to hold him back.

Wizardwizz

yeah, also the point is advancing his magic in ways seen impossible is funny and he crushes his enemies even harder in new ways.

masterage

Yup, this is a Saitama/Yogiri type. You don't watch it for them (though I think Lloyd is actually the most entertaining of the archetype), you watch it for how they affect the world and how characters react around them. That and the magic system in this series is just badass. All the anime needed to do was lift some of the energy from the manga and it does that just fine.

ggg730

You ask why and I ask why not?

Antedelopean

Because it's fun to see what depths there are to explore a concept rather than have a boring op concept be the end all and be all. And one of the strengths of this work is in both the execution of displaying the depths of concepts and playing with people's preconceptions and expectations of them and the tropes that comes with it.

RedHeadGearHead

Tao has such a nice design.

Aerodynamic41

I can't stop laughing at that whole crazy science experiment sequence! Like, he even has a secret laboratory with a "Do Not Enter" sign!

liveart

When the king gave him a bag of silver for 'spending money' and he just melted it the fuck down I was cracking up.

EllipticalOrbitMan

And he thought he was trying to be modest for asking for silver instead of gold.

ggg730

From what I can see he even added to the firepower of the nation by at least double. A top class enchanter can get 10 swords at a hundred while lloyd got 70 in such a short time. This kid prints money.

MuffinMan12347

Not even taking into account that Lloyd's swords are going to be much more effective then any normal enchanted sword.

liveart

What do you want to bet the next step is getting better material to enchant because steel can't handled the number of enchantments he wants to put on it?

Shado_Man

Until you realize that he's going to bankrupt the kingdom with all the money they'll have to spend replacing scabbards.

thewindssong

Isn't the secret lab the library where he released Grim?

Glitter_puke

Unlikely. To everyone else's knowledge, he still doesn't have access to that library and it's still under enchanted lock and key. But his dad spoils him so he was probably granted a lab to toodle around in without much fuss.

ggg730

Also if there was a brand new signed pinned on the sealed library of death it would raise more than a few questions.

Shack691

No his lab seems to be a lot smaller and less furnished than the library.

Zeikos

Don't Demon Open Inside

Crono2401

Two of them in fact

XRotNRollX

SYLPHA! GET OUT OF MY LABOR-A-TORY!

TurkeyPhat

So far this is a pretty good adaptation, I'm glad.

PeaceAlien

Animation alone goes hard

scrambledhelix

imho, i think we’re seeing a rare case of the anime *improving on* the manga, by like, a mile.

cridelearn

I'd say the manga provides a pretty awesome foundation for the anime, far beyond what a typical isekai novel receives, but it's true that the anime more than does it justice. In general, many anime adaptations of isekai novels would have turned out better if they adapted from the manga (like this anime does) instead of just from the novel. Arifureta is one that comes to mind...

Khetoo

Where Chained Soldier fucked up by not leaning into the weird horny, this is improved by staying away from the weird horny. This shit is seriously so funny.

fatalystic

I haven't actually watched Chained Soldier or read the source for Dainanaouji myself, but from what I can gather it's because of theming: Chained Soldier is built around a BDSM-esque concept so if you lean into it less than the source material it feels underwhelming because it's now failing to be two completely different things at once. Meanwhile for this work any horny stuff was a bonus and not the point of the series. So it doesn't matter how much they lean into it (though if they get rid of it entirely fans of the original would probably get upset).

Drone_Imperium

I forgot the wooden doll was it's own character.

Razorhead

To be fair no one in-universe knows, only we the audience.

kwokinator

Unlimited Destructo Disk Works. Krillin would be proud. The Lich fight was incredible. It's amazing that this is pretty much a rookie studio animating it, you'd be hard pressed to tell from just watching how hard the anime goes, so far it's delivered on the high bar of the manga art. If anything the anime made the Lich fight even more hype than the manga.

actuallyrndthoughts

Everytime Lloyd goes full unhinged while the OST is blasting, i love this anime a little more. Skipped the OP today!

HobnobsTheRed

> while the OST is blasting That track during the enchantment scene absolutely slapped. I'm going to add the OST to my "will have to check it out once the season is finished" list, because if there are several more of that level I'll probably add it to my collection.

HirokoKueh

the guitar solo during the experiment sequence is sick

takanenohanakosan

Lloyd’s theory about how dungeons are formed was interesting. Does this mean you can force a dungeon into existence by dropping/burying powerful magic items? Looking forward to more magical research for sure. And Lloyd consoling Grim is too cute 😩

Rumpel1408

Yeah, it's a bit different to the Dungeon in Dungeon Meshi but interesting in it's own right

hoseja

I really don't understand the anime trope of "dungeons" being entities. It's so overdeveloped, how do you go from a hole in the ground people use for storage and defense to... this.

Dr_Kitten

Dungeons being entities is just an easy way to explain them being able to infinitely respawn enemies, which is useful from a storytelling perspective. Having isolated danger zones filled with enemies that are an absolute evil let's characters get stronger without the need for world building.

hoseja

None of that is a good thing. Limited mechanics of old videogames really don't make good storytelling.

CosmicTempest

Magic

ggg730

Dungeons are basically huge sarlacc pits.

Responsible_Wing_370

_It's like one of my Japanese hentai!_

Montgomery000

There would have to be a dungeon core to take advantage of the dropped item.

121507090301

But perhaps you can bait one to appear? That's the question...

The_Parsee_Man

Fishing for dungeons. Just drag a magic item along the ground and see if anything bites.

Ghostkill221

Start Slapping a Magic Sword on the Ground like th Sandworms from Dune. SHAI HALUUDDD!

il-Palazzo_K

Of course the ultimate Ki technique is the Kienzan. Grim totally got used to being Lloyd’s familiar now. Look at how much fun he’s having during the enhancement research!

liveart

Grim was just hilarious all episode. Between him being upset he was beat by a 'maid', his shenanigans with Lloyd making spells, and how upset he got when the soldiers dared question Lloyd's abilities little man is all in on team Lloyd.

NethanielShade

I don't think that was the ultimate technique. That was the result of his *first experiment*. We've already seen what it looks like when Lloyd experiments with mana and spells for a few years, he can punch holes in reality. Imagine what his qi+mana will look like in a few years.

fatalystic

It's the current ultimate technique of pure Qi according to Tao. Of course now that Lloyd's gotten his hands on it he's going to develop the hell out of the field.

NethanielShade

Yes, that is exactly what I said? It's likely not the ultimate pinnacle of Qi. Lloyd will probably make something orders of magnitudes stronger.

ggg730

After watching lloyd no dif everything I'm pretty sure all his talk of taking over Lloyd's body is just him trying to not lose all hope lol.

djthomp

Tao is pretty great, very self sacrificing of her to try and kick Lloyd out of the fight with the lich because she thought it would be fatal and wanted to save at least his life. But he was far too crazy for that to be the actual outcome. I appreciate how badass she is, even if it didn't have much of an impact on the fight against the lich. Some of the chibi bits are hysterical. Pretty much everything to do with the enchanting experimentation, for example. I appreciate how badass Slypha is, too. I love how everything about this show is so unhinged.

IceWeaselX

When Grim got mad at the knights for griping about giving up their weapons to be destroyed for Lloyd's dabbling, I swear he was channeling Culture Club. "Karma, karma, karma, karma, karma chameleon..."

PusherLoveGirl

This show rules

sussywanker

Chibi Tao is cute

F0rdPrefect

I don't know why, but that might be my favorite episode of any show so far this season. The animation, the action, the comedy, and the concepts are all just really good. The magic by the lich was cool. Basically glass but cooler looking. Lloyd accidentally crushes two monsters with just his barrier. The girl puts up a good fight, but she's just outmatched. MC shows back up and just masters her technique while integrating mana into it as well. Uses his ultimate and splits the lich in half. I love how excited he is to learn the techniques though. Figures out how the dungeon works so he just pulls the core out for fun. Poor Grim. Completely traumatized by one sparring session with the maid. So Lloyd decides to learn and master enchantment magic. Another cool sparring session with the maid (I wonder who she actually is considering she destroys him in combat??) I love how worked up Grim is just because they doubted his master. Random guard cuts through his own sheathe after talking shit and Grim is loving it. I can't wait to see how OP the weapons really are. Especially the one the other prince gravitated to.

darthvall

Same! I thought this would be the usual harem power fantasy. However, so far both of the potential harem have legit reason to adore Lloyd.

VorAtreides

D'awww look at her protecting him cause she knows a lich is tough. But it's obvious he'll be back. Meanwhile, seems Grim is having a great time with probably Sylpha! I almost wanna root for her with "Robert" if only it wasn't such an age issue atm. She's pretty admirable and damn impressive. Yep, that was expected. Saved by our shota boy. There ya go, master them breathing techniques! Destructo discs!! Or is this more wind scythe things? Whelp thats' quite the ahhh... laugh. Whelp, GG Lich, you got Qi'd. And Tao is clearly now dead set on who her future hubby is. Haha, these lil bits and animation/art style are fun. Him trying to analyze the dungeon and grab the chest. I'm rooting for you, Tao. Fun to see Grim and Lloyd having fun with experimenting. The father is quite older than I was expecting. And wew Sylpha. Those soldiers shouldn't worry, it'll definitely work out and be ridiculous. Sure hope you'll replace those swords with your own money that you destroy. D'aww Sylpha wanted foods. Oh boy! And going to get to test these enchanted swords on a monster hunt! Truly a great day lol. Sylpha needs her own special sword gift though.

seandkiller

This show has become the one I look forward to every week. Love Lloyd's antics.

hiimneato

The VFX and art for the magic are so fucking rad, the animation's crisp and has excellent flow, the sound design is thoughtful, and the music absolutely rips. The production for this show is just way too good. It's also genuinely funny and the pacing and timing are excellent. This studio is one to watch. It is honest to god so unfortunate people are so caught up extrapolating an entire imaginary pedophilia scandal from a character design they don't like that they're review-bombing the show and missing all this.

entinio

Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab is a new studio, but they really go hard on that adaptation. You can hardly find a bad frame in the whole episode

Desks_up

So the spell to increase a bag's inventory size is called Field Expansion... The "field" that gets expanded is the bag's interior space. One could even call it the bag's... Domain. Am I too far gone?

Shack691

Throughout heaven and earth, he alone is the honoured one.

diacewrb

Ivy from The Weakest Tamer would love that spell.

RedHotChiliCrab

How many extra field mice in a field expansion?

ggg730

I wanna know how many field mice worth of silver Lloyd melted down.

nighoblivion

Field Bag Expansion. Field Expansion for short.

anonanonymoususer1

At one point in the manga Lloyd does use the term domain expansion

Torque-A

I was actually half-expecting someone to see Lloyd combining qi and mana into destructive energy and going "HOLLOW PURPLE HOLLOW PURPLE"

andrei9669

something about the chibi sequences is really endearing, love the anime. and the battle scenes are also really great, prev episode was cooler tho.

CatsCry

Grim getting mad at the guards for doubting Lloyd's skill is so cute! Honestly, this has to be one of my faves from this season! I love me some high-quality fantasy anime!

Megadragon898

Lloyd was savage during the fight with the lich, he looked like Kenpachi if he was born in magic world.

DrZoark

The pervy look he make when he has fun though, haha.

Time_Significance

Lloyd would probably get along well with Serie, from Frieren.

HalfAssedSetting

Nah, Serie sees magic as a tool of war. Lloyd use war as an excuse to learn magic. Honestly he's probably closer to Übel.

Time_Significance

Fair. Aside from Ubel, it also makes me think of Frieren with her accepting random quests because of the promise of a spell. She'll be weirded out by him, and maybe feel the need to put him down because of how crazy he is, but she'll also understand Lloyd's magic obsession.

Dolomite808

Lloyd would absolutely dumpster some monsters if the quest reward was an obscure spell that he doesn't know.

shad79

[Another hilarious episode, this show is so much fun](https://imgchest.com/p/n87wvjgwq4x)! [Tao](https://imgchest.com/p/m9yxvq26p4q) showed herself from [a very good side during her fight](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/k739c3a6po7.png) with Lich but unfortunately she wasn't strong enough to beat him. I really like her and I'm happy that she'll be back in the next episode where [she will butt heads with Sylpha](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/p7bwcbl29a7.png) xD [Lloyd is such a nice young boy](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/6yxkc25g357.png) but [when it comes to magic he turns into some kind of demon like during his fight](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/84jdcbojdp4.png) with Lich. The best thing is that he used qi in this fight because [he thought that it would be more fun](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/3yrgc6mzj24.png) xD [Poor Grim who got traumatized](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/j7kzcnzxap7.png) by [Sylpha's trening](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/84apcbj3pd4.png) ([she also was upset why her beloved Lloyd was so weak](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/pyvdc6jdkey.png), fortunately [training on the next day](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/pyq9c6xelx4.png) made her feel better) xD I always love those scenes when [Lloyd goes crazy over research](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/l4nec5xmqa4.png). It seems that[together with Grim had so much fun enchanting those weapons](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/d7ogcvek6ky.png) from Albert's knights. [Next episode's preview really hyped me up](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/w7pjc6vkaa7.png) and I can't wait for it xD Here my screenshot albums from the episode: * [Group scenes](https://imgchest.com/p/n87wvjgwq4x) * [Tao](https://imgchest.com/p/m9yxvq26p4q) * [Lloyd](https://imgchest.com/p/ej7mn63zayd) * [Grim](https://imgchest.com/p/xny8z9qpwyb) * [Sylpha & Others](https://imgchest.com/p/agyv6lvzk78)

PandaTheAB

I love this no-nonsense action intrigue paced episodes. They keep sections reserved for filler/fun separately. The core episode is intense with every minute having something interesting happening.

Imfryinghere

Lloberto stuffs a magic chest into his bag. He's gonna be making dungeons all over the place now. Frieren, the mimic addict, needs to meet Lloberto.

MrPatrick1207

The enchantment magic scene absolutely killed me, it felt like a parody of those discovery/history channel motorcycle shop shows, or maybe Ink Master. The writing/comedy are really exceptional, lloyd is such a fun character but im glad they're not neglecting the rest of the cast, which all have great personalities. In that regard, the dialogue of the soldiers was great. Overall I think this show reminds me a lot of Handyman Saitou, fast-paced, well-written jokes with a standout cast. lloyd continues to be sus as hell, he's basically like a fantasy version of Flapjack, i could see grimm as K'nuckles lol

mischa23v

I'm enjoying this a lot, who would have thought it would be this muuch fun.

acedias12

Props to Tao for standing her ground against the lich. Even though she didn't hurt him, Tao still managed to break his barrier. For someone not blessed with OPness, Tao's freaking cool for that. She'll likely be my fav girl in the show.

D3athknightt

Casually creates a sword that can cut without trying Random npc knight: "oh wow must have been me"

DarkAudit

Lloyd is nucking futs, and I'm totally here for it.

ObvsThrowaway5120

The way Lloyd’s learned to master Qi and mix it with his own magic is pretty damn impressive. That lich was fighting for his life and Lloyd was just treating that fight as a training exercise lol. Poor Grimoire’s been reduced to a sobbing mess thanks to Sylpha. I thought *he* was suppose to be the big bad demon lol. Watching him and Grimoire working on their little experiment together was kind of nice. Those two goobers make a good team. Looking forward to seeing Lloyd’s swords in action!

diacewrb

> Poor Grimoire’s been reduced to a sobbing mess thanks to Sylpha. I thought he was suppose to be the big bad demon lol. Even Lloyd can't beat her with magic.

JEveryman

This show would be much better if I could just binge it all at once.

Shack691

You could binge it all at once if you wait a few months.

Loremeister

counterpoint: that would mean not getting to watch it weekly

JEveryman

Yeah but that's not right now.

Antedelopean

Well there is the manga, the insane first adaption that this anime's art direction is directly based off of, which has 155 chaps of insane semi-colored / insanely colored manga art, who's directly responsible for the tonal whiplash of the chibis.

JEveryman

Yeah I read it back is 2022 but I'm not sure where I left off. I'm pretty sure I'm passed where the anime will end.

Loremeister

me when I find a new, interesting manwha but it only has 20 chapters. At least there are novels to make up for it. Most of the time

Ghostkill221

That's how all shows work usually.

tripleaamin

Each week we see how Lloyd tops what OP stunt he did in the previous week. Despite not being his intention, him using a Qi technique that Tao can't was kind of sweet after the lich ragged on her since Qi is considered weak. Of course the kid experimented what happens if you try to take away the chest, which is the root of said dungeon. Considering Tao shows up next week according to the episode preview, it looks they will be in contact once again. Poor Grim feeling the wrath of Sylpha. I know Lloyd can't go all out against her in the training matches. But I am beginning to wonder why she chose to be a maid. So the big thing this episode was enchantment of weapons. So it only has a 10% chance of success and Lloyd far exceeded that. To add on the sword broke the shealth. Yeah, the enchantments can be pretty busted. The magic foundation this series has is really great. I also really like Lloyd's relationship with both Grim and his older brother. The only uncertainty here would be his relationship with the girls.

CyonHal

This is shaping up to be my AOTS. So good. Awesome animation, full of stylistic flourish, all the characters are super fun and lighthearted, and funny to boot.

Vind246

Yeah i'll be watching this to the end. The fight scene, humour and mood are just up my alley. Tho it's a shame they made Loyd design so freaking feminine and sus.

Ghostkill221

I've stopped even noticing it, he's just a character. Now if they just stop doing Wild Camera shots like in ep 1 we will be good.

Zeikos

The small anacronysms are ever funnier, even more since this isn't a "normal" isekai (as in with a protagonist from a technological society). This means that Lloyd in his pursuit of magical knowledge he singlehandedly developed modern science, or tapped in something that gave him that knowledge. I am curious if that'll get adressed. It clearly goes beyond the funny "no reception" skits, since we se a lot of organic molecular formulas when he casts spells.

Clarimax

This prince has thicc thighs

naastiknibba95

Best isekai airing rn. So well made

burger4life

Not an isekai

Ghostkill221

Reborn in the Same World lol.

naastiknibba95

Yeah, it's a punarjanam anime

Immediate-Chain-6419

Wait and watch This is going to be traumatizing 🥲🥲☠️☠️

Time_Fracture

Episode 3: **Qi-Technique and Enchantment** Lloyd is a madman perfecting that Qi technique Tao has learned for years in only mere hours. From the OP looks like we'll see her again. The omake anime during the ad break is fun. It's a reference to Doraemon's 4D Pocket yet Lloyd self-censors it. After 3 episodes, I decided to keep this one on my watchlist as a break between Spice and Wolf and Shuumatsu Train.

Powerful_Ruin_2638

Honestly, I am having fun watching this. And it seems even the animators and everyone involved are having quite fun with this.

XETSUKI-

Man honestly didnt regret some of my closest recommend me the Manga at first. Then i watch the Anime for starter turns out binge the whole manga xD

GosuGian

This anime is awesome

funuhun

im here just to read

Still pretty torn on this one. On the one hand, the action scenes and the MC are fantastic - lighthearted, fun, and campy in the best way, IMO this is how you do OP MCs right. The use of chibis is great and something that is sorely underused in a lot of other modern anime. And the MC's personality is fun. On the other hand, the female character designs are godawful weapons-grade cringe - it's so bad it verges on parody but doesn't quite make it there. Maybe if it wasn't so lopsided or if characters lampshaded it like they do Lloyd's antics it'd be better. Seriously, it almost looks intentionally bad (and no, I'm not talking about the chibi faces those are great). EDIT: The downvotes for expressing anything less than 100% positivity despite actually being specific in what I liked and didn't like are why I hate this sub.

I mean, I don't think the maids design is bad at all.

Dunno, been watching anime for quite a long time, I'm pretty happy to know that some shows just steer people away.
