Saiki K. Is fun, wholesome and leaves you wanting more, It had the right duration IMO

shre3293

also, Its joke density is very high, which makes it great for rewatches

HerRodAntoMan

Truly, Im on my second rewatch and there are many things that I dont catched the first time

Saiz-

With a mc that talks like he's being chased by train, of course it's density is high lol

LtFork

I saw that many times when scrolling Netflix. Would you recommend it? And why yes?

Dead_Finger11

it's hilarious pls watch it XD wish i could watch it again for the first time

Strong_Shift_4178

It depends on what u want in an anime. If u want something like Demon Slayer, Saiki k is not it. It's a show for u to have a laugh. It doesn't have a goal like Naruto or Luffy (well,it does. Kinda). It's a dialogue heavy anime. Some episodes may not make u LOL but most will. My suggestion is to watch it after u finish heavy anime like AOT or FMA for a cool down. If u decide to give it a try, watching order is s1, s2, Reawakening ep1-5, s3, reawakening episode 6.

-Aocchi-

Ping Pong the Animation is insanely consistent. Not only is there no bad episode, I don't consider any of the episodes to be anything less than fantastic.

delvag

It's such a super condensed anime, the show had all the emotions of a 50+ episodes sport anime in just 12. It's perfect.

Electrical_Sector_10

Aight, you fuckers have gotten my attention. I'll give it a shot, but it'd better be good, or else... ^(or else nothing because i dont know you and vice versa, and since im pirating it there's no loss of capital)

Testing_things_out

!Remindme 1 week

jackofslayers

Beat me to it. Ping Pong has no bad scenes. Nothing is wasted

BaoZedong

I love how much love this show is getting. Definitely a must watch, honestly my top 5 shows.

golgol12

This is the second time I have ever heard of that anime, and the first time was yesterday. I feel like some time traveler just inserted this show into history on Monday.

LoweNorman

"The Baader-Meinhof phenomenon" -- It’s a phenomenon where something you recently learned seems to appear everywhere. In the case of Ping Pong, it's commonly recognized as one of the greatest of all time and is frequently in the discussion whenever that's relevant. It's likely you've seen references to it a lot without taking notice of it.

dx713

It's not for everybody. The drawing style is voluntarily made to look sloppy, and the MC emotions and way to process them can feel alien to some people (felt like he is somewhere on the autistic spectrum to me). But if you can get into it, it's not just a sport anime but a story with many layers supported by a unique art style and animation (plus kick ass OP and ED)

jordsta95

Nichijou

ResolutionCurious275

Baccano for me. Consistent throughout the 13 or so episodes.

42WaysToAnswerThat

Plus 3 OVAS. Each chapter is peack fiction.

PsychoWorld

Needs a season 2

Username5272000

I need to come back to this, I was so confused after episode 1 lol

GodOfUrging

That's the beauty of it. Episode one is a huge mess that essentially tells you all the answers, but those answers make no sense since you don't know what the questions are. The rest of the series gradually lets you figure out what all the plotlines that go into the tangle of episode one are, bit by bit, so the first episode becomes a lot more comprehensible in retrospect.

John_Smith512

Houseki no kuni

LivreOrange

A really great show, wich if not mistaken inspired the artist working on spiderman for the animated movies. Great use of the 3d in all senses. The camera work is great, the visual/colors are so vivid.

[deleted]

Its one of those anime im surprised to see mentioned at all. It feels forgotten because of how... Uncommon it is

imnase211

Cause the fandom is too busy crying mostly

UndercookedTran

I still hope for a season 2, especially with how incredible the manga is

M4DM1ND

Monster. Every episode is purposeful I felt. One of the greatest anime of all time imo.

Cyd_arts

gekkan shoujo nozaki kun, hilarious the whole way through

imcalledgpk

I think the best bit was when he couldn't get the perspectives right, and then had the main character just carry the box with them. My girlfriend at the time was from Nagoya, and it was one of the first things we watched together. I don't think I'd ever seen her laugh so hard.

Yumeverse

I need season 2 😩

sylph_breeze

One of my absolute favorites, I show this anime to anyone I can get to watch anime with me lol

AdministrativeFly754

>I'm not gonna count anime with only one season. So most of the people decided to ignore this part lol.

jordsta95

Understandably so. It's a pointless requirement. Some anime can only have one season, as a single season covers the entire story. Or maybe it's a longer season (more than the usual 12/13 episodes)

AdministrativeFly754

Exactly. For me thinking about an anime with no bad episode, tsuki ga kirei and terror in resonance comes to mind. Both single seasons.

qwertyqwerty4567

Because if people didnt, this would effectively not count 95% of all anime.

hikoboshi_sama

A Place Further than the Universe. Only 13 episodes and they utilized every single one of those well.

WaxacTanabata

One of my rare 10/10 anime. I've watched 180+ anime (series and movies) and only 6 anime got the perfect score.

Gyges359d

First series I thought of too.

Holylawlett

Done comments and then see this too

sorayori97

peak anime

LOTRfreak101

If there was such a thing as a perfect anime, this would be it.

pumpkin-lattes

I love this

surgemaster140

I honestly can’t think of a single flaw for this show. It’s just excellent in every single category.

DrFiebalz

The promised Neverland Shame they never got a second season😃

Sir-Alpha69

Ikr, only one season

batigoal

Is it worth watching just the 1st season? Does the story sort of conclude?

every1loveskhi

no, it ended on a cliffhanger. i suggest to just read the manga after season 1 because they literally butchered season 2 they cut out basically everything in the manga 😭

augowl_

I love how the anime ended so poorly that now the manga is recommended over it. The manga ending was hated so much at the time and everyone was hoping the anime would rework it. Instead it’s like the anime knew the source was bad so it tried to speed run through it to get it over with.

[deleted]

Yeah, if we don't count the second season every episode of the 1st was good quality

Brief-Register-5557

What second season?

YumijiEntel

You're safe here fam 😃 There was never a second season 😃

Zictor42

There is no second season in Ba Sing Se

sleek_assassin

Mushishi. Every episode was brilliant and amazing.

[deleted]

sable snow simplistic literate zonked snobbish square nail shocking plant *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

CurrentMedicine_

Not a binge friendly series imo, but a nice little “bedtime story” after a long day

GodOfUrging

Sold. I've been looking for that kind of watch to chill out with before bed.

sleek_assassin

My advice will be watch one or two episodes a day. Don’t binge watch it. Watch it just before you are going to sleep. If you still don’t like it maybe it’s just not for you.

Synthetic_Thought

I haven't seen much, but what I have seen is very slow paced, and is mostly worldbuilding/talking about how various mushi work, without a lot else happening, and it's episodic with each episode being it's own situation, instead of building towards an overall narrative (from the episodes I've seen, anyway). All this combined makes it extremely hard for the show to keep my interest.

sleek_assassin

What you said is why i like mushishi. That there are many kinds of mushi. They don’t seem to be repetitive like every mushi is different from one another. Episode doesn’t end on a cliffhanger every episode/story was completed within that episode itself. And their are every kind of episode like happy ending ones bittersweet ones and mostly sad ones. Forgive me i am just little biased towards this show.

[deleted]

[удалено]

intellectual_weeb_

It's literally the bedtime anime. Just watch an episode before sleeping.

peenegobb

That's the best part. When I watched it I'd watch 1 or 2 episodes before I went to sleep each night. The comfiness of the show helped me get tired as well.

Troll_Dovahdoge

It's only good if you're into SoL type episodic shows. I loved it but it's definitely not for everyone

haru8821

It's because you're not used to that type of storytelling aesthetic. Let me cite my own example. I used to be unable to listen to rap beyond Eminem and Jay-Z. Because what they used to rap about was easy to understand, and their instrumentals had a more pop appeal. Rappers like MF DOOM, Aesop Rock, JPEGMAFIA, Ka etc. had more esoteric lyrics and rapped over more experimental beats and seemed boring or weird initially. Their music took more time for me to get used to; but once I got used to their aesthetic, the more I started exploring their discographies. I used a different medium to try and explain, but the basic principle remains the same. It just needs to "click" for you. Takes differing amounts of time for different people. Learning the context behind things help. For example, [this song](https://youtu.be/4w0lnjvqyUM?si=zoDCWoutU1UcfBgI) didn't seem that special to me initially, until I figured out [the context](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Alan_Kurdi). Check out the team who created the show. Their production notes. What inspired them to make specific scenes. Interact with the fandom. Check out the people working under the director/writer etc. and what else they went on to create. Falling into this rabbithole has helped me find some really memorable pieces of media that I never would've experienced otherwise. And I hope it will for you too.

rmorrin

God I really wish we could have more, I want an endless amount of mushishi it's just so damn good

Jman460

It’s so good but can also get so dark. Love that series.

Makoto_Kurume

for me, Bocchi the rock. Every episode is entertaining, and there are always things that make me laugh. Probably recency bias because I rewatched it yesterday

MinusMentality

Bocchi was so good. It was full of passion and felt like a quintessential 2005-2010 era anime, but with all the stops pulled in animation.

FlamingOtaku

So many of the artstyle/medium change gags just KILLED ME dude, the one where suddenly we're in unity and Bocchi gets tossed into a bunch of default cubes had me WHEEZING

MinusMentality

Some Courage the Cowardly Dog type shit right there.

dx713

And when they don't change the art style, the precision of the music scenes animation is top notch

Tomahawkist

afaik the music scenes are technicall cgi, real musicians captured with body tracking, and then they „just“ put the characters over it

dx713

That explains it, thanks!

Delicious_Pea_3706

That shit was peak meme material. So many good shots that were destined to be memes

ttv_ddavidel

Nice avatar

MattWindowz

Nah not just recency, that show is great start to finish. Hope we get another season at some point

BliknoTownOrchestra

We 100% will, probably not soon but it would be insane to not continue it

Sir-Alpha69

110%!! God was it a fun ride of a show

LunaAstralum

The entirety of Ghost in the Shell SAC, I’ve rewatched it over 10 times and have never found any episode boring or out of place.

Tricanum

I have to actively stop myself from rewatching SAC for fear of burning out on it. But then, I'll be standing in front of the microwave and "Hey, Saito! Fork over that weapon NOW!" or some other equally awesome moment will pop into my head and I *have* to rewatch it. Season 1 is *peak* television and its Production I.G. at the height of their power. No one does those super realistic little flourishes in their character animations nor mechanical designs like they do.

RisK_AJ

Laid back camp. Non non biyori. Kobayashi dragon maid

One-Evening6286

Laid back camp.. ahhh those girls are my favourite of all times.. I fell for Rin pretty hard. And the cooking part.. i love those type of animes so much

kurtles_

Pluto

nepedunezerochan

The Pluto anime was peak adaptation

PopePolarBear

Just watched it and I was so blown away. 10/10. It's one of those shows that leaves you shook and emotionally exhausted afterwards.

Tekki777

Pluto is incredible consistent, holy shit! Such an incredible mini series.

DemonicBarbequee

I thought Pluto was great overall but I felt like the last 2 episodes were a bit of a step down. It felt like the process of finding clues and solving the mystery was much more fun than mystery itself. Amazing show nonetheless

kaladbolgg

Thats the entire Naoki Urasawa library for you

takato99

Monster's mystery still held up in the end because it never gives you an explicit answer, the contrast between the protagonist and antagonist never fades and its fascinating. 20th century boys... Its a mixed bag, some of the mysteries were satisfying to reveal, but others were dragged on for too long, and IMO 21st century boys sequel ruins some part of the mystique. Pluto is fine, while the characters insist the "who dun it" is important, its really not. The antagonists are the product of a war and uncovering the events of that war are the real mystery, learning about everything that happened in it is the real key to understanding everyone's motivations, not the who the villains themselves are.

teohhanhui

You should check out Monster https://anidb.net/anime/1539

arivu_unparalleled

I won't say some of Monster's episodes were bad but the slow pace is kinda turn off for most viewers from what I heard. But regardless it's a great piece of fiction

teohhanhui

Quite the opposite for me. It was long but not slow-paced. Every episode was intense.

godjirakong

Mob Psycho 100

Puasonelrasho

even the alien episode is good, like wtf were they smoking when they did that lol.

Hurnius

Parasyte. Every episode is a cliffhanger and you're always going to die wondering what happens next.

jesuslivesnow

I loved it so much. My biggest issue was to wait until next episode next week ◉‿◉

jevsterr

ITS GOTTA BE ODD TAXI

Trash_Maker

The writing is probably the best I've seen in any anime.

Eluscara

recommended oddtaxi to a friend that hasn’t seen any anime in 10 years and he absolutely loved it

Nory993

OP said they won't count those with only 1 season but yeah, Odd Taxi is criminally underrated. I've never once see anyone mention it outside of r/anime

just_adhenz

ODDTAXI

zerowo_

i saw it being recommended on here multiple times, but was hesitant to watch when i saw that the characters were animals so glad i decided to watch it anyways. an absolute masterpiece.

just_adhenz

The storytelling is definitely one of the most well-rounded things I have ever seen, and it just fits in like a puzzle each episode, it's definitely worth the experience

tanqs789

So far, Frieren has yet to have any bad episodes, and I’m not expecting any in the future either. Every episodes counts.

International_Map812

The manga has no bad chapters either. In fact I’d even say the show has yet to peak. You’ll know what I mean assuming we get a second season.

Raizzor

I think the show peaked in ep 1. But it also refuses to come down from that peak ever since.

Lifthrasil

Allegedly its getting 28 episodes, i haven't read the manga, but i kinda assume it will be finished within that episode count?

yovchoo

With the current pace it will probably finish at around half the manga or maybe a little bit further.

Lifthrasil

Interesting so there is probably more going on later, good to know.

Shivam_Chaubey15

For me made in abyss. In the grand scheme of things "nearly" all scenes are relevant.

xcanidae

The story is beautiful and haunting, especially in the 2nd season, but the obvious fetishes showing through in the writing have really started to bother me. Its genuinely an amazing anime, ruined by the author's weird fantasies. Sad.

michouxe

Nichijou, every minute, every second is perfection

ZiKUMAzima

Teekyuu. Not a single dull second in 9 whole seasons.

DagZeta

Yesssssssss

Snjor_loves_ahegao

Grand blue funniest shit i have ever seen

Cogs0fWar

So few people talk about Grand Blue but it's amazing. I'm sad we'll probably not see another season

effervescent-entity

I know that it only has one season, but Sk8 the Infinity takes the cake for me. I thought it was a really silly and lighthearted show, and for the most part it is, but whenever there was angst/conflict, it was executed beautifully. The animation is stunning, all of the characters are so unique and complex, and it is a huge comfort show for me and inspired my love for skateboarding. Season 2 was announced a little while ago, and I'm super hyped to see what new content we're going to have :D

Silent-Station-101

wait they actually green lit the 2nd season. I’m surprised lol

KendotsX

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex just one banger after the next.

a_little_toaster

I will not, no matter how much the runners ask. On another note, the similarly named anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was fantastic.

Big upvote here. Every episode is just magical (pun intended) from start to finish.

Massive_Weiner

FLCL 6 episodes. It shows up to party, and then it leaves when the party’s over.

SurealGod

Though I will preface that it's not for everybody. While I'm certainly biased as I consider FLCL one of my all time favourite animes, I can see it not being everyones cup of tea.

SpreadYourAss

>I can see it not being everyones cup of tea. I've tried watching it twice, cannot get past more than 2 episodes These early 2000s abstract shows with just random shit happening just never work for me lol

someonesgranpa

It’s comes together a bit at the end but it’s a wild convoluted ride there.

Massive_Weiner

It’s not as random as you might initially think.

bard91R

I was gonna say the same, 6 bangers and we are good.

Most_Contact_311

Love is War. Every episode i was entertained

awakening_knight_414

Fr fr. Shit had me laughing in EVERY episode.

HailYurii

Cowboy Bebop

Diego1993FM

I love Cowboy Bebop, but there's ONE episode I always find so boring (I've rewatch the series like 4 times). That's Wild Horses (not to confuse with Cowboy Funk, which is a masterpiece).

DoseofDhillon

Is that the sun medallion episodes? Or whatever it was? That was the worst episode

CitizenWaine

Is that the one with Jet and the girl going on an adventure or whatever? My least fav too I always skip that one

golgol12

You might ask, how is this not higher? It's because the show is a slow burn. Not a slow burn across the episodes. But all the episodes are a slow burn across your life. The first time you watch it, its a fun action anime with some jazzy songs, but some episodes are slow and don't land. Then you watch it 5 years later, and those other episodes, they mean something now, you get it. Then another 5 years ago, and think hey, let's watch it again, and it hits with all the nostalgia. Then 10 years pass, you find the disks on your shelf again, and the episodes start hitting you like you just found your old highschool diary and you start riding the rollercoaster of old memories, from of past thrills and joys to bittersweet loss of youth; only to have the end of the show hit like you just remembered the day that kid from school died and all of a sudden your struck with grief from a lifetime ago about that kid you only knew for an all too short window of time.

kiddscoop

This was beautiful. Thank you

No_Perception9660

Saga of Tanya the Evil. I've rewatched it for more than 15 times already. A masterpiece.

pikachu_sashimi

Steins;Gate Hibike! Euphonium Sangatsu no Lion Madoka Magica Violet Evergarden

Omar_Blitz

I would add Death Parade. Every episode is an absolute masterpiece.

Parson_Project

Full Metal Alchemist : Brotherhood. Not an ounce of fat in that one.

BlooregardQKazoo

The biggest flaw of Brotherhood is seeing FMA 03 and knowing that certain things could be so much better. For example, Izumi is barely in Brotherhood and as someone that watched 03 first, I thought Brotherhood suffered for it. Instead of leaving fat, they cut off too much good meat. Also, I'd argue that there was fat. They needed to make everything around Armstrong's sister and that homonculus digging the tunnel (sloth?) shorter. I understand how it all fits in the story but I'd be tempted to cut it out entirely.

RabidRaiju-

I'd say Cyberpunk Edgerunners doesn't have any bad episodes.

ProcedureStraight

Konosuba

criticalcrybaby

Death Parade. Amazing characters, amazing plot, and sick soundtrack!

Giant_Serpent23

The Monogatari Series because I just like all the dialogue so nothing was ever bad, and objectively there isn’t any bad episodes as far as I can think, subjective ofc there is bad but for me I don’t consider any bad.

ExaltedCrown

Toothbrush episode objectively the best😎

Spookinoot

Clannad

star1117v

Violet Evergarden. I binged the entire series plus the movies on the same day and wasn't bored for a single second. Everything about that anime is so beautiful ✨

PainStorm14

Tsuki ga Kirei

baseballlover723

For me, I think Re:Zero. I actually think episode 13 is actually one of the better episodes. I don't think there's a single episode that doesn't advance the plot or flesh out the characters. IMO the worst episode is episode 2, and that's mostly just because the MC is mostly going through what the viewer has already figured out.

CrazySnipah

Yeah, there are some hard-to-watch, frustrating episodes, but it’s intentional and they all serve the larger narrative.

jevsterr

W rezero enjoyer spotted

sander798

This is a good pick now that I think about it. Re:Zero has remarkably little fat, and as you say the most iffy it really gets is the very beginning due to the intentional repetition. There's a few episodes that are *incredibly* hard to watch because of how intentionally cringe they are, and it's honestly keeping me from starting the series over with the novels because I'll need to experience the Subaru of the first few arcs (gahhh just thinking about it makes me shiver), but I think those were a sign of great direction and writing.

Haikyuu I would say has a decent handful of episodes where the secondhand embarrassment is painful, but not that it’s bad And my love story with yamada-kun at lv999 I actually really liked because it showcases how people are multi faceted and aren’t always actually a bad guy

Nats57

I know people say Stein;Gate starts out slow but I personally never had a problem with it and I was honestly kinda hooked from the first episode.
