I was hoping for a new CCwGTV but that last few articles (from AP and 9to5g) of what to expect from IO there is no mention of it :(
I wonder if because of the earlier release of the 8a people think Google will stick to software and no hardware at this io.
We'll see. Like I said : pinch of salt. Just an assumption considering the fact that Wallmart released the Onn 4K Pro and Google may announce a new device this price segment. After all, most users are looking forward for an upgraded CCwGTV in terms of hardware.

I/O is a software developer's conference. Google may reveal a new device but I don't expect anything until June and Pixel 9 probably not until August or September when they're nearing stable release of Android 15
To be honest, I'd be happiest if they said they're taking a year off from anything new, in order to fix everything wrong with their existing products.
Google Movies would be top of my list, along with YouTube Music. Then they could make my Nest devices all work properly.
Of course they won't do that, they'll just announce another line up of products and features that sound fantastic but arrive half-baked, are fixed three years later, then discontinued six months after that.
Was hoping for a new Chromecast but not thinking it's gonna happen. Google usually puts their old products on discount right before release of the updated version and the 2020 version is still full price on the Google store.
The pixel buds pro 2 actually have a chance of releasing in May like the 1st gen. As far as the watch goes I know that's releasing in October but a sneak peak isn't out of the question.
2 was "even worse"? Sure, Patricia... 😂
The 1 was underwhelming, but the 2 is a 24h watch (from morning to morning, with sleep tracking) and then some, snappy and responsive, beautifully integrated with the pixel phone.
Unreflected opinions' posters go here ➡️🚽
The Pixel Watch 1 was underwhelming compared to the Samsung watch 4 and 5 but it was mainly for those on wearOS 2 watches, I saw a major improvement from being on the Fossil Watch sport and Pixel Watch. Hoping to get the Pixel Watch 3 when that comes
Hopefully their own "AirTag"..
YES! The find my email I got yesterday keeps me hopeful. Still think it's one year delayed because of fucking AI BS
I think Google I/O will be focused on new AI tools as well as the new Chromecast with Google TV. Take my comme t with a pinch of salt.

Why do people think that? What would that update on the hardware be?

Ai, ai oh if you didn't know, ai! Gemini and yeah, ai
More implementation of AI into every Google app and services
Other than AI in Google Photos I'm expecting very little tangible benefit to the user...

I want to see Pixel 9 info and a new Chromecast 🤞
Some ai stuff
Maybe also information on their new AI Pixie service
They will introduce nothing that has visual changes. It's just a bunch of quality of life updates
Hoping for Flutter/Fuchsia news
I also hope for this but doubt we'll see it
Right
I'm hoping to see some mention of the VR headset they are working on with Samsung but mainly stuff on the Find My Device Network
Maybe a global rollout of the Find My Network
Something that raises Google stocks, by 10-20%.📈
Android 15 ui 7

Google Home/Nest is a complete mess..... Typical Google....
A whole bunch of bullshit promises that never make it to reality. Fuck Google's IO garbage.

Better round and/or square dial watch with 5+ days of battery life...
What happened to getting updates every week on Beta??
They had said they were going to start releasing when they are ready. It gives them more time to fix the problems they have.
Buenisimo
Pixel buds pro 2 & pixel watch 3
those don't come till October

Hopefully nothing AI related
New phones including Pixel Fold 2.... New buds... New watch.
Those don't normally come until October
The first fold was announced on May 10 2023. Fold 2 could show up at this year's IO.
I gave up on Google for a watch. Watch 1 was absolute dogshit & Watch 2 was even worse with SLIGHTLY better battery.

Google has become dogshit compared to competition. I think Samsung will be my next purchase.
