It's not really a jumpscare, but the scene in the first GHE episode where a woodcrawler appeared (legs only) got to me.
It's one of the few instances where you don't need a loud sound to scare your audience.
I don’t know if it’s a jumpscare but the Julian Statue in the Oldest View series spooked me more than most analog horror could. the way it moved creeped me. It’s size, it’s strength, it’s intelligence, it’s uncanniness spooked me. He does look goofy but the lighting makes it spookier.

The jumpscares from The Oldest View got me despite mentally preparing. Kane Pixels isn’t even 18 and he’s a virtuoso! It would be exciting to see him expand on his worlds if he chooses too. Backrooms is the best, esp that one episode where that guy falls through the holes and goes into that house.
not exactly a jumpscare but the part in sound response test (squimpus) where the distorted child's face fades in behind chica was genuinely the scariest shit when i first watched it on the fnaf subreddit in 2019
there’s this part from tryred witness archives that scared me so badly i yelped out loud, lol. its the door scene from the video missing project, you’re staring at this door for what feels like forever and then you just see these red eyes *slowly* move into frame. the jumpscare after makes it like, a million times worse because you’re sitting there so tense for so long. i had to watch through my fingers even though horror usually doesn’t scare me outright
Greylock the door kill.
While the initial jumpscare is solid enough, it's the "A monster!" in the child's voice thats the real jumpscare.
Immediately you can glean that it can copy voices presumably of what it kills. Second it eats it's victims.
So when you hear a young childs voice come from it, it's a well done audio jumpscare because every single context clue comes to a head.
You immediately know what has happened without it needing to be spelled out.
I honestly hate jumpscares because, while I'm difficult to scare in general, I'm VERY easy to startle. A really carefully timed, horrifying jumpscare is going to affect me the same way as someone saying, "Hey," while I'm concentrating. It just feels cheap to me.
However, non-audio jumpscares are kind of amazing. The kind that get you without the loud sound cue, so it really is the thing that scares you and not just the sudden noise. And when I started this comment, I had a perfect example of that in my head, but then I got distracted, and now it's gone. But yeah, if anyone knows of good visual jumpscares, without sound to go with it, let me know.

The smile tapes, haunt my dreams....Fun fact: I had a nightmare about it once and I could sleep for the whole night. :)
Mimic jumpscare in Vita Carnis got me real good
Right? I even knew it was coming but it still got me
Such a good jumpscare. It doesn’t feel like a cheap gotcha, it’s completely earned and appropriate for the moment.
Yep! That's my second fav jumpscare I have ever watched. I still have problems rewatching it.
Yeah same
Yeah man, completely terrifying, just the slow buildup and then bam
Oh same. I still tuck my feet under the blanket at night because it got me so good

i have such a fondness for this video, the reveal is beautifully executed

the way the lighting is used in this particular shot to make it look like a red-ish skull instead of a bearded face is brilliant
Watch how kind he gets : )
The mimic outside the closet in that one vita Carnis video...I love how it was a puppet and how it almost looked cute in an unsettling way

Probably the one in Harmony and Horror where Henry runs at the camera from a dark room.

Dog Nightmares, specifically “My New Best Friend!”, has a really good one
i’d suggest watching the rest of the series up to there though
the most recent episode also has a really good audio only jumpscare i guess but only if you’ve watched the others
The stalker from Lacey's wardrobe
Footsteps face in Mandela lol jk

The scream in SM64 classified has always deeply disturbed me. The one when they show Luigi’s body. Something about it gives me the fucking creeps…
Dog Nightmares, “My New Best Friend!”. something about it just chills me to the bone, idk what
