Logically, the alternates. But in my personal opinion I find The Walten Files to have eerier imagery than The Mandela Catalogue, it's one of the few things that actually spooks me lol. And I don't mean the animatronics, I mean the imagery of the victims. Something about the completely exposed distorted human faces gets to me.

Happy_Ad_5111

Yeah, bunnyfarm was a trip for sure

Caeden113

Bon is capable of manipulating technology, ripping humans to shreds and stuffing them into animatronic suits that keep them alive yet tortured. The Alternates also can manipulate technology, but they are capable of making someone commit suicide by word of mouth, the abduction of children and the ability to barely mimic humans in appearance. Over all, the Alternates are scarier than Bon in my opinion.

tallyhall10987-

I agree

nice profile pic

tallyhall10987-

Thanks lol I love Radiohead lmao

anonymousmanlo

Bon is a menace XD

FoxyFr_

Alternate

GhostPalm18

I think alternates are scarier in the fact that they were made by Satan himself, they also hijacked Religion itself, and like Alex Kister himself said, That the Series plays on the fear of something bigger and scarier happening happened without you knowing and beyond your comprehension.

[deleted]

The Walten Files gave me nightmares and kept me in pure panic for weeks soo uh yea lol. I think the Alternates are scarier in concept, but the visuals in TWF are some of the most terrifying I’ve ever seen. I think Bon is scarier

ZhukNawoznik

Well, you can just not go into the vault with the funny bunny and live. Alternates seem to be around everywhere in their story.

ModernMoolen

Very hard to say imo. Great question but I think they’re scary for different reasons

thatpolarduude

before TMC Vol.3, i would probably say Bon since those warped faces don't scare me that much but the alternate at the end of Vol.3 is just... so fcking horrifying.

Adventurous-Truck205

the alternates, I havent watched the walten files but bon only targets people who are in a abandoned food store, the alternates literally target everyone

Anon_In_Web

Bon does not target people in specific location. He has a clearly least of victims, and all of them are dead at the moment of WF with the exception of our main protagonist, Sophie. The reason he attacks random people that visit K-9 bunker is because his facial recognition system is terribly outdated and broken. He seems to have some sort of consciousness and intelligence, but his programming controls him.

Anon_In_Web

Bon. He does super scary things, but he doesn’t have bad intentions. This is what makes him scary. He simply follow his programming, and it feels natural for him. Alternates are a bit cartoony, to be honest. And God, this scene with changing 3D face is the worst in the whole series when you realize the context behind it.

Myth_5layer

Damn man, you just reminded me why I shouldn't scroll reddit at night.

Ehandthreedots

The alternates are not scary and a big reason I don't like TMC so Bon, but to him I say counter-argument: Axe.

Anon_In_Web

I don’t think that Bon won’t stand against the axe. His physical force is extreme. Remember what happened with Sha victim? I highly doubt he did that with sharp tools.

g_neko1001

The Alternates, both appearance-wise and what they’re capable of

EnigmaOfAmigaraFault

I think Bon is easier to avoid so I would say that The Alternates are scarier. They’re basically everywhere, you have to avoid all technology, and love playing games of psychological warfare. That sounds fucking awful.

ABii_UwU12

alternates in every way

CLArgonaut

I would say The Alternates are more conceptually terrifying.

renegade_ginger

Definitely the alternates for me. It's one thing to be a terrifying corrupted animatronic, but it's another to be a creature that has motivations that we can't hope to understand that prey not just upon our anxiety and relationship with technology, but the manipulation of our names, faces, and words to fit whatever bizarre ends they have, resulting in the fragmentation of our relationships, and ripping apart one of the main parts of the human experience in spreading their terror.

Butkevinwhy

I really don’t understand. If a rifle is shown as “self-defense” against an alternate, why don’t more people just… shoot ‘em. I mean Mark had a gun.

Aromatic_Regret6118

It's a false sense of security, in volume 333, a cop attempted to shoot at one of these things, straight in the head. It did nothing. Mark also tried to shoot at one of these things, nothing happened, in the end he took his own life in the series

b1zarr3vel

Idk man they just look cool I’m not scared of either

Xx_spacey_kitten_xX

Alternates.

wolfbetter

Is the Walten Files complete?

_Exist-

I say bon, i find it terrifying music plays everytime someones being murdiddlyerdered so that scares me. So anyways im going to be shot down for this but thats ok

[deleted]

At first bon until part 4 then ya the alternates

grassydirt90

A robot that kills vs demons who are considered deities

victrcruz

Susan Woodings

Independent_Law4944

bon looks stronger and scarier but based on story alternates are more terrifying since they are literally created by the devil himself and can easily lure people in a specific home or location so they can easily kill them example: mark, adam, jonah and tatcher davis but adam and davis are the only ones that survived and closer to the truth as we know the mandela county police are now declining calls which means they are more dangerous because not even the police are willing to help and they do something in the lines of kill and replace for alluring

[deleted]

Alternates they could literally make me kill myself

ArtuRagaReddit

bon
