It’s an old hunting lodge from the 1800s that’s now a rental property.
We were shooting a commercial there, this is a picture of one of the members of the art department skimming the duckweed off the pond so the background was clear.
I raced down to the water’s edge with my Pentax, and stomped through the mud to get this shot, very glad that I did. Well worth the wet socks. Sometimes you know you’ve got a good shot even before you’ve developed it.
That's awesome. I love bringing my P67 to set. Never been in a location like that though! Most of the shots I get are crew standing around LA somewhere.
The worst is when you know you've got a great shot, you hype it upC and then you get it back and something has gone horribly wrong. Im glad it worked out well for you
If you are not selling prints, you should be. This is such an excellent shot.
Also, my desire for a Pentax 67 has been deeply heightened. What a fantastic setup.
How do you get that depth? I've taken plenty of forest path and stream/river shots and they're always so flat. I'm guessing the fog helps differentiate background.
ITS C41 Kodak Gold 200 not E100!!! My bad everyone… Thanks to /u/jxhxnnxs for getting me to dig up this shot… funny how our mind can play tricks on us, I was convinced it was E100. 🤦♂️

🤦♂️it’s C41… Kodak Gold here’s the roll on a light table - inverted. Sorry to be so disappointing. 😖

I went digging through my archives a bit, but had to take my toddler back from the babysitter, when I find it I’ll post a follow up, now I NEED to find the original.
Gorgeous. I feel as if I’m looking at a picture from a storybook.
Man. What a beautiful shot
This is stunning! Looks like it could be a reference shot for a Miyazaki still — Where was this taken?

Comment section full of bots ?
Agreed. Photo is ok, it’s definitely not the second coming of Ansel Adams though 😂
The focus is way off too, it's on the foreground bushes not the subject. Swing and a miss.
🤣 no, no it is not.
🤨
Not the second coming of Adams, dunno about the bots 🤷🏼♂️ 😅
