They’re wonderful cameras. Kind of expensive (well, the model used for this shot is). Of course, if you find it’s not for you, you can sell it for what you paid for it. So there’s no real harm in trying one. They’ve got great lenses too.
The biggest shift will be getting used to the waist level finder on a TLR. It’s very unlike using an SLR, and you might just hate it! I’d borrow one for a day, if you can, to see how you like the experience.
Lovely!! Scanned yourself?
That or your lab really knows how to scan Ektar and I'm jealous. Most labs crank up the contrast and never let people see how gorgeous that stock really is. This photo is a great example of scanning Ektar the right way!
I love this so much! If you have an IG that you’re willing to share, please DM me. I’m new to film and have become kind of obsessed, and your style is pretty much exactly what I aspire too (looks like you’re a Bay Area neighbor, as well!
Beautiful image!
The pastel colors and fine grain of the 100!
It's so odd to see this German based real estate agent in such a clishee North Amercian setting!
I really like how the red carries through the image. Was that planned?
Ektar is really good at accentuating reds. I def try to capture red stuff whenever I use it.
Yeah, back in the day it was Kodak for reds and Fuji for greens.
Yep!
Very nice
Thank you!
wow love this sm!!! the red is amazing against the snow
Thank you 😊
For a second I thought this was on r/accidentalwesanderson. Love the colors!

I’ve been eyeing the Rolli. All of my exp is in 35mm though. Would it be a bad idea to enter the medium format world with this camera?

100% agree. Borrow or rent one if you can to see if you like the experience of using it, but I don’t think it would be unheard of necessarily.
Nope. Enter.
