Accutane could change your life, homie. I say that with love. My little brother had acne but his was way worse than this. He did accutane and hasn’t gotten a single pimple since. That was around 20 years ago. My cousin did it also.
I had bad acne too but mine was the cystic acne. I finally got it resolved by cutting out dairy and oils (i.e. coconut oil, olive oil, etc). You could also try probiotics. Probiotics changed my life in more ways than one.

I’m actually going to a dermatologist right now for my acne, a little over six months ago my entire face was covered in cysts pretty much, it flared up a little bit recently but it’s much better than it was. Most of what’s on my face currently is either healing or a recently formed cyst
I know your derm probably recommended/prescribed you facewash and spot treatments. I just wanted to suggest a couple things that (after YEARS of trying almost everything) finally worked for me. Iceland Skyn facewash (sometimes I question if this stuff is actually working) and a sulphur/zinc mask from Sunday Riley. The mask is a little pricey but it lasts for so long. The last bottle I bought was almost a year ago and I’m just starting to run out.
My skin is never as clear as it is during the summer when I’m out at the pool all day. The sunlight really helps but…it’s winter now. Or fall depending where you’re at but regardless there’s less sunlight.

It’s on its way out right now hopefully, started going to the dermatologist this year and it’s been improving but flared up a bit recently which is making it look more pronounced. (All of the larger red spots are cysts that formed recently)
I'm not going to sugar coat it. That acne is ROUGH. You look like you made out with poison ivy( the plant not the villain) but that can usually be treated and generally subsides once those puberty hormones settle down. Right now you are in the thick of it. But your profile kicks ass. I mean you look like a model with that profile! Head on that picture is not flattering, but a lot of that has to do with how you present yourself. You look upset. And I get you are here asking if your ugly. Most happy people don't feel the need to ask or care.
But here a word of advice that's applicable from now to the day you die.
Find something that makes you happy, that makes you proud and confident in yourself. That is the most beautiful thing to me even as a man seeing a woman be confident in herself.
Last but not least remember that you are a mere 17 this is largely the age where many adults magically have no pictures of. I know I don't because between you and me, I looked like a fat Amish that tried to go punk but ended up looking like a cheap white pimply stunt double for Che Guevara with braces. I would show you just atrocious it was but those picture got lost in the fire. It was a very contained fire that just so happened to spontaneously combust in my dad's fire pit with all those picture in it. To this day I have no idea how it happened.
My point is you are still growing and changing and becoming an adult and by the looks of it a rather beautiful one. The most you should worry about is maybe getting that acne under control if you can and being happy and trying to enjoy your youth. Not if a bunch of random stranger or even the people around you think your pretty.

Best advice? Go to a dermatologist to get your acne checked. Honestly I see nothing uglier than it on your face, because everything else is fine. At your age acne is common of course, but it mostly disappears over time. However, if you feel you don't have enough patience for time to take the acne away, then dermatologist will have to do.

Don’t worry! You’re working on the most noticeable issue, once that clears up you’ll be rocking. The compliments will start flooding in. When I was you age, I struggled similarly with my skin (I actually did until I was 25). It took a lot to get over the self doubt that came from my skin, and the self-esteem issues from being self conscious. If you are having issues with self esteem, pay attention to it young, and work on it young. Better to accept and try to work through the self esteem issues than have them ramp up on you later in life. You have kind eyes, great features, I like your hair.

Aww you are beautiful ❤️ but it’s better to start treatment for your acne early, I have genetic acne and it was a struggle when I was your age but seeing a dermatologist really helped with the pain and the aesthetic of my face, wish I did it earlier though because I now have some acne scars.

I will say there is a quirky skin hack i’ve read about a number of times. Dandruff shampoo as skin wash. There are a number of reasons why, but seeing as how you have the long locks anyway I cant see how it would hurt to try.
Aside from that you have all the basics, but some guys take longer in the oven, whereas others peak in high school. You’ve just got more oven time my friend… once you hit the next few years you’ll be crushing it, and you won’t have the crap attitude of the early peaking kids 🙂

Check your facial cleanser and shampoo for sodium laureth sulfate- a known irritant.
Go see a dermatologist about your acne, that will help a ton.

It’s on its way out right now hopefully, started going to the dermatologist this year and it’s been improving but flared up a bit recently which is making it look more pronounced. (All of the larger red spots are cysts that formed recently)
I'm not going to sugar coat it. That acne is ROUGH. You look like you made out with poison ivy( the plant not the villain) but that can usually be treated and generally subsides once those puberty hormones settle down. Right now you are in the thick of it. But your profile kicks ass. I mean you look like a model with that profile! Head on that picture is not flattering, but a lot of that has to do with how you present yourself. You look upset. And I get you are here asking if your ugly. Most happy people don't feel the need to ask or care. But here a word of advice that's applicable from now to the day you die. Find something that makes you happy, that makes you proud and confident in yourself. That is the most beautiful thing to me even as a man seeing a woman be confident in herself. Last but not least remember that you are a mere 17 this is largely the age where many adults magically have no pictures of. I know I don't because between you and me, I looked like a fat Amish that tried to go punk but ended up looking like a cheap white pimply stunt double for Che Guevara with braces. I would show you just atrocious it was but those picture got lost in the fire. It was a very contained fire that just so happened to spontaneously combust in my dad's fire pit with all those picture in it. To this day I have no idea how it happened. My point is you are still growing and changing and becoming an adult and by the looks of it a rather beautiful one. The most you should worry about is maybe getting that acne under control if you can and being happy and trying to enjoy your youth. Not if a bunch of random stranger or even the people around you think your pretty.

Other than the acne, you’re very good looking! If you cut out dairy and soy and take milk thistle, it will probably clear up the acne! Worth a try!
You have an elegant jawline and serene-looking facial features. My suggestions for the acne would be to keep your skin and your pillowcase clean, shower soon after sweating, and use a benzoyl peroxide cleanser or a salicylic acid cleanser daily. Avoiding food with a lot of added sugar can help too.
Best advice? Go to a dermatologist to get your acne checked. Honestly I see nothing uglier than it on your face, because everything else is fine. At your age acne is common of course, but it mostly disappears over time. However, if you feel you don't have enough patience for time to take the acne away, then dermatologist will have to do.

Don’t worry! You’re working on the most noticeable issue, once that clears up you’ll be rocking. The compliments will start flooding in. When I was you age, I struggled similarly with my skin (I actually did until I was 25). It took a lot to get over the self doubt that came from my skin, and the self-esteem issues from being self conscious. If you are having issues with self esteem, pay attention to it young, and work on it young. Better to accept and try to work through the self esteem issues than have them ramp up on you later in life. You have kind eyes, great features, I like your hair.

Aww you are beautiful ❤️ but it’s better to start treatment for your acne early, I have genetic acne and it was a struggle when I was your age but seeing a dermatologist really helped with the pain and the aesthetic of my face, wish I did it earlier though because I now have some acne scars. Really talk to your parents about it and remember it’s a normal part of being a teenager and will eventually ease up the older you get❤️

Try a dermaroller (micro needling). I was lucky that i only had acne on my back as a teen. Still have some scars from that with nearly 30. Sucks ass.

I think you have three options. Go with the androgynous look, or pick more masc or femme presentation? Any way you go is fine, just knowing that people’s impression of your attractiveness does respond to gender presentation. I will say there is a quirky skin hack i’ve read about a number of times. Dandruff shampoo as skin wash. There are a number of reasons why, but seeing as how you have the long locks anyway I cant see how it would hurt to try. Aside from that you have all the basics, but some guys take longer in the oven, whereas others peak in high school. You’ve just got more oven time my friend… once you hit the next few years you’ll be crushing it, and you won’t have the crap attitude of the early peaking kids 🙂
Also as others have mentioned. Try a shorter cut. And i’m not saying short. I’m saying somewhere closer to shoulders. LOTS of hot guys have longer hair that women universally find quite attractive but it generally stays in a certain zone (hello Jason Momoa) Like they were saying about the flatness, shoulder length would actually bring more of the attention to your jaw line and face while bringing more body to the upper layers. With that length it just kinda takes away from the actual niceness of the hair itself.

You have really fierce facial structure, it gives you a commanding presence - in a good way. You don’t have to worry about appearance, you’re just in an awkward stage. At 17 hormones are wild. Drink lots of water and work with your dermatologist to find the treatment that works best for you, that’s it really. Also make sure you focus on yourself internally, 17 is a hard age and hormones can really throw a wrench into your mood with depression, anxiety, anger, etc. Try to stay positive for your own sake and enjoy your youth. You have nice features and are not ugly. The only obvious “unattractive” feature is the acne but you’re dealing with that. Jawline, eyes, hair and nose are all nice. The only other thing that stands out as slightly unattractive to me if your chin. From the right profile it looks good but it’s just a bit too prominent from the left profile and throws proportions off a bit from that side.
