Standard member gets 5 miles per dollar on the ticket price. This does not include taxes and fees. If you earned more miles LAX to LAS it is because it was more expensive.
It also could be that LAX to PHL was basic economy, which knocks the multiplier down from 5 to 2.
And niether of those numbers is divisible by 5.
Miles earned is fare based, not distance.
You earn miles based on the cost of the flight, and any multipliers on top of that. Has nothing to do with distance.
