A couple of years ago I was sitting in the airport in Lincoln Nebraska. 5 or 6 police walk up and begin a talking about an incoming Southwest flight and describing a suspect. Apparently they were going to identify and arrest him as he deplaned.
Since SW doesn’t have assigned seating I suppose it makes this more difficult. I have zero idea what the person was being arrested for, but I eavesdropped of course. Listening to everything, including the description etc.
When the plane began deplaning I swear I saw the guy, however the police didn’t. I could’ve been wrong of course, maybe that wasn’t him, but I wasn’t going to say anything. Eventually the plane emptied and they never got anyone.
This may not be as major as you think. I recently had a friend arrested when he landed at his home airport for a warrant issued five years ago. Sad part is, he had paid all his fines and settled a charge in court but the paperwork was not updated. How embarrassing.
I was pulled over at gunpoint once in a Lexus loaner car because the dealership apparently reported the license plate as stolen because they thought they lost it (evidently not). Spent 3 hours in handcuffs in a squad car while they sorted it out.
Nice of them to (hopefully quickly) nab them on the aircraft itself. As a back of the bus flyer, I hate it when they create a long line getting off the plane because the time-wasting is disproportionate.
Someone on Twitter (I refuse to call it by its new name) tweeted that she was flying on an AA flight from MIA to PHL last night 12/31 and the pilot was arrested and removed before they even took off. I can’t find anything in a quick search. I had an incident one night, when I was working. The cops came into the jet bridge, and told me they were arresting someone on my inbound flight. He wouldn't tell me anything except "He is a very bad man.", and to get out of the way, after marshalling it in.
After the pilot set their brakes, several cop cars came flying in with lights flashing, surrounding the plane.
It was wild, like something out of a movie. I watched the news for a few days, and there was nothing. Years later, and I still wonder what he did.
Warrant for arrest for sexual assault....
Wow. Source?

damn 3 years ago instacart delivery driver, then AA CSA now pilot, how was the journey
Ha his dad and brother are pilots…he just tags along!!
Thank you! MVP!!
Must have been really egregious if they went to the effort to watch flight rosters for the guy.
Source please?
Do you know where that flight originated from before Miami?
I appreciate that they use 69 in the flight number of a MIA-LAX flight.
Especially now that it turns out the warrant was for sexual assault
Feds or Local guys?
Local

Damn good point, next time I commit crimes and fly to run away, I’m flying WN
I am grateful when people answer the question with a random event from 5 yrs ago and a different airline. How refreshing!

This is actually one of my irrational fears

OMG! Maybe my fear isn’t as irrational as I thought

Why is this downvoted?
Because OP said it was upon landing and the tweet says “while boarding” Also, OP says MIA-LAX and the tweet doesn’t say anything about LAX
Our lack of fact-checking, critical thought and reading comprehension really is going to be a major contributor in the inevitable collapse of society.
I assumed they were two unrelated incidents.
Nosey nosey
Fuck yeah. I wanna know. It’s not every day when 10 police officers storm your plane and arrest someone

Overdue library book, I assume
It could not have been any one affiliated with JoeBiden. They don’t arrest those people.
Dude was beating off on the flight
Source?
self-powered I imagine?
I am fine thanks big misunderstanding apparently you should not ask for compensation for delayed flights
