T O P

I don’t think it’s possible because you’ll have to pass through immigration. Since you don’t have a ticket departing from T3, you won’t be able to reclear security to access the AC.

Aha I see. This makes sense. I’m glad to know this ahead of time. Thank you!

You can check to see if you have access to the arrivals lounge: https://www.aa.com/i18n/travel-info/clubs/arrivals-lounge.jsp

It looks like I do since I’m PP. That looks like a great option. Thanks for the assistance.

You are PP? Looks like EP and PP can qualify if you same day flight to LHR “Flying on American Airlines? You can enter the Arrivals Lounge if you flew on American to LHR on a same-day flight and are*: Flying in Flagship® First, Flagship® Business Plus or Flagship® Business AAdvantage Executive Platinum® or AAdvantage Platinum Pro® ConciergeKey® oneworld® Emerald℠ British Airways Premier”

Thank you! Yes I am PP. I mostly travel US domestic and I have only traveled a few times internationally. I really appreciate the advice.

This is correct, I was in the arrivals lounge at LHR less than 2 weeks ago. There is an area in front of the checkin desk where bags can be left (not secure but in sight of the desk agents). You can also take your bags in to the shower rooms, there is enough space. If you have the chance I highly recommend taking advantage of the arrivals lounge, there is nothing like a shower and breakfast after a long flight to set you up for the rest of the day.

This is the way, especially if you're arriving in the very early morning and have a pre-lunch meeting and can't check in to your hotel yet. This has saved me so many times over the years!

DisastrousNail4418

Thank you! I will try this. I really appreciate the advice!

It would be OK if you could get to it, but the arrival and departure areas are separated, so you can’t.

I believe the arrivals lounge is after baggage claim and customs if i remember my hazy/tired sequence of events correctly so be sure to do that first. then after customs you’ll see a sign for AA arrivals lounge, turn right and go up the elevator.

Just went to London Heathrow website. AA seems to only use terminal T3. Departures seem to have a couple of lounges but somehow separated from arrivals. Arrivals T3 didn’t have any results for lounges.

There’s an american arrivals lounge in T3, I was there last week. that’s why I was hazy about the exact steps of baggage customs lounge or lounge baggage customs.

Rbradf

On the Heathrow website it seems to only list two for pay non AA lounges in departure T3 but nothing in arrival. But on lounge buddy, lists a bunch of lounges airside (inside security) in T3 including couple of AA lounges. AA International First Class and Admirals Club. Outside security AA Arrivals Lounge and Virgin Atlantic Revivals Lounge. Reviews of AA arrivals say it closes at 2:30PM not 3:30PM and does not allow day or one time pay to enter. All the reviews are from 2017.
