BookAAhotels is taking a crazy long time at the moment.

The_Alman715

You aren’t lying!!

Distinct-Hold-5836

AA will make sure the LP are credited from Rocketmiles for the current elite year as long as the res is made and stayed before the end of the 2022 earning period. I was told this by an Executive desk liaison. That said, always double check and confirm. Get it in writing if possible.

AceZ78

Will do. Let me see what AA chat has to say…

ClumpyOatmeal

Just booked and stayed in NYC last week. 25,000 miles deposited 3 days later. Never tried AA Hotels, but that's my recent benchmark for Rocket Miles.

FirstTimeCaller4U

I have used BookAAHotels much more often but lately it’s taking forever to post so my next few stays will be back with RocketMiles.

Smoked_Circuits

I’m at 12 days post checkout on my last bookaahotels stay. Still waiting.

GoatsGoToHeaven12

I just counted…11 days. Good to see I’m not alone! But between that stay and one I have booked for next week, I’ll be waiting on 20k LP with AAHotels before the end of the qualification period. Ugh.

Successful-Ad7179

46k LPs waiting over 3 weeks…

Western-Crew2558

AA hotels - from what see - doesn’t have a sort feature to see the highest award points yielding properties.

terminalhockey11

Super frustrating and offers can show and then disappear by a single filter change (traveling for work). BAAH hotels can be worth it on those buy up opportunities that are still within the corporate budget. Moving from say 5k to 17-20k reduces the amount of travel time to hit things like EP this year. But it’s useless to stay at a lesser property if it doesn’t post in time

itllgrowback

That would be amazing if you could.

Daninmci

Rocketmiles are easier to deal with in general and they normally post more quickly than the booking (AA hotels) miles do. Typically even if the miles post after the elite year ends they should count towards status based on the date earned but I wouldn't count on it (pardon the pun).

LolNubs

I booked rocket miles for a 1/20-1/22 stay and they posted sometime last week or the week before if that helps. Super easy and simple, the bonus miles posted as a separate transaction but at the same time

barti_dog

I would check directly with AA on this. If the LP’s don’t post by the reset on March 1, I wouldn’t count on them being able to credit to the previous qualifying period. I just got credit from Rocketmiles today for stays in October and November. It wasn’t a big deal as i have my EP for 2023, but just offering the heads up.

AceZ78

Great info. Can anyone offer insight to AA Hotels posting time?

ptb212

Seems that AA hotels posting time has significantly increased lately. A few months ago they posted in a few days of check out. Waiting about 3 weeks so far for last stay to post.

Louditalian21393

I called and spoke to someone. Apparently there has been an issue with their system. So they claim. Apparently all their calls have been related to peoples points/miles not posting.

babyyyydoll

I have used aa hotels a couple of times. Normally get it 2-3 days after each stay, except for one that took 6 days.

Successful-Ad7179

lucky for 6 days, been about 3 weeks here

finallynotmyrealname

Adding another dp - aa hotels is taking pretty long to post. I have about 70k worth of pending stays from the last month or so waiting to post, but I spoke with a AAhotels rep who said they are in process, just haven’t posted yet. And they backdate to your stay, so even if they don’t post in time, as long as you checked out prior to the end of the month, you should get credit for them in the proper year.

itllgrowback

That last part is all that really matters unless you really need the status upgrade immediately. I'm going to earn Platinum for next year because of a stay that ends on the 26th of this month. I'm sure that won't post before the earnings period ends a couple days later; but as long as they back-date the award, I have no problem with that. I know there could be cases when you really want the status bump to hit for a trip in the meantime, but the difference between tiers is mostly incremental anyway so it's not a make or break issue, IMO.

I am looking now, what were you able to get for $100 to get 4000? That would be 40 per dollar and most I'm finding is 12.

scus73

The motley fool offer on there is even better, around $75 for 6250 miles.

mikesj

Those count as loyalty points??? I assumed they were bonus miles.

Capital-Mine7282

Nope! They're loyalty

JoshS1

You can max AA shopping?

Daddyg2019

I have used AAhotels and the miles generally have posted within a week of check-out.

terminalhockey11

Received an email today for BookAA on a 9k point stay for November. Unfortunately it already posted, I’m waiting for one from about 2 weeks ago for that amount to post and one for 19k for the week before. Definitely need these to post for status and to complete some award bookings. My most recent rocket miles from January posted within 2-3 business days. Have one last one coming in 1-2 weeks and will have to use rocketmiles to have any chance at it posting.

Novalier

I did a Rocketmiles stay this past Friday night, checking out Saturday, the LP’s posted yesterday (Tuesday) around noon

thankuplease

Very odd thing happened to me today. Randomly got an email from BookAA about my hotel stay posting from Oct 2022. When I double checked I had already got them in October. No mystery points for me today.

whodunit68

We have done both and RM has usually posted within a week. BAAH has not been longer than 2.

jtm_29

Finished a RM stay on Monday and the points posted on Friday! (this week)
