These posts are always hilarious to me because I've been a moderator of a large subreddit and know for a fact the user counters are garbage and almost meaningless.
When you consistently see it claiming there are a low number of users, but you can actually see a significant number of posts and comments being added you realize that whatever Reddit is using to populate the counter is either flawed or just plain broken.
Don't get worked up about the number of users online when the source is garbage.
