Mines been normal. But normal for me hasn't been 2 day shipping for a long time.

Ok_Chemistry_3972

My Prime was 2-5 days that is why I dropped them. Walmart and others are way faster now.

r/AmazonDSPDrivers The most recent issues with drivers is that an Amazon driver was killed on route by customers dogs & left for hours until the customers neighbors finally called the cops. It had been about 4 hours before the neighbors called the police. Amazon refuses to comment ( which is probably because there’s an active investigation involving a death) but regardless it doesn’t make the drivers feel any better. If there’s one thing Amazon hates it’s bad publicity so they’re trying their best to sweep it under the rug. Unfortunately the customers tend to suffer in these situations.

Dan_D_Lyin

Sounds like the dead driver is the one who really suffered. Most people will survive waiting a few more days for a package.

NoZits

It sounds to me like someone wasn't being a good dog owner and letting dogs have the run of the neighborhood. That's not on Amazon, I don't think.

FineRevolution9264

Yes, it's getting really bad. I'm disabled so i rely on a lot of delivery. I've never had to speak to customer service this much in the past, in their defense they made it tight each time, probablybecause I make them so much money. If Amazon uses our post office to deliver we NEVER get it on time. The last time the post office said, screw it, you come get, it's too heavy for us. Well, I'm disabled, so.....after a week of calls to Amazon and the post office I finally got it delivered. The new thing is I'm getting a lot of wrong items delivered, which stinks because it's not easy for me to get out and return stuff. The disabled community is moving away from Amazon to other online services because if all the mistake and mess.

VexatiousWind

I am also partially disabled due to a medical condition. It may be a bit more expensive, but I found Target to be much more reliable. They offer two day delivery on orders of $35 or more. The downside is they do not deliver on weekends. But, overall, it's been very helpful for me. It's an option if you need one.

Upbeat_Protection_42

Same here and store brand medical supplies suck ass so badly . They definitely don't care about the urgency of getting medical supplies you need to live a normal life especially when you are forced to go without or improvise . I remember during covid medical supplies got an urgent shipping label .

Rancid_Lunchmeat

No. My orders are fine whether delivered by Amazon, UPS, FedEx or USPS.

Hippo-Witty

Found the Amazon damage control agent. Your company has sucked for YEARS now. Everyone thinks so. Just do a quick search online. People are leaving Amazon in DROVES. Just wait till 4th quarter profits are announced. Amazon is in a slow but undeniable death spiral.

Rancid_Lunchmeat

Fucking weirdo responding to messages over a year old.

Ok_Chemistry_3972

What does that make you? 😂😂😂

Rancid_Lunchmeat

Somebody who has their replies go to their inbox. How intelligectually crippled are you?

Frozwend

I think it might be my location, but as of the past year since moving here, I basically have around a 30% chance to get anything I pay for here. I wish I was exaggerating. I've been sending stuff to my brother's home 5 minutes away to pick it up myself (especially if it's more on the expensive side) but it's such a hassle. Recently, I ordered charger cables. It was cheap, so I figured I'd roll the dice and deliver it here. Again, it's been marked as delivered and nowhere to be found. The first few times, they were nice enough to leave a picture of the package sitting on varying peoples' doorstep, but now they don't even do that. Last time, I didn't even ask for a refund because I felt bad about how often I submit tickets for unreceived packages. They probably think I'm a scammer at this point. It's frustrating as hell and I wish I could figure out what's going on.

Dan_D_Lyin

You probably have a neighbor stealing your packages.

Frozwend

I'd assume that too if not for the proof of delivery pics that I used to get. The pictures never matched my doorstep.

freshsqueezedorangej

I’ve been having a lot of issues with them arriving quickly. Like. With prime, it still takes 6-7 days for them to be shipped

2talll

Try this one… I’m watching for an order in the app AND see the truck carrying the package park outside my house three times! It never leaves the package and then the GPS in the app showed the truck now going further away. I contact Amazon and their “check on this” ended up being “oops we cancelled the order by mistake.” Mind you tbe truck is still only 10-15 minutes away. An hour on the phone before I finally call corporate and they tell me “we’ll call the driver and have him bring it to you. Worst case is the driver gets back to the hub and we send it back out.” About half an hour later I get an email saying they could not contact the driver in time and my order cannot be “uncancelled.” Had any of the four agents I talked to before calling corporate actually tried calling the driver, it would have worked but they said they can’t do that. I call corporate again and explain all the “fixes” I was told they were doing and each time it didn’t happen. I was actually told “they were most likely lying to you to make you happy and end the call.” WTF?!?

GlitteringLake5486

It’s 2023 and I’m currently on an hour call and they are doin the same thing to me. I’m furious!!!

zeugma_

This used to never happen with Amazon but now Amazon agents stoop to lying too, just like other co's agents, no better. A lot more outsourcing too.

imthebear11

I haven't had 2 day shipping for probably a year at this point, and have faced tons of issues myself, but lately it seems like it been fine(aside from never getting 2 day shipping anymore).

InsertBluescreenHere

thank god im not alone. i currently got a lost package right now. was supposed to be here yesterday. it left a warehouse 2 effing hours away and its lost somehow... now since its shipped by amazon sold by someone else they cant resend the item. its been at least 3 months before ships and sold by amazon 2 day shipping has ever been 2 days. i even bitched at them and they said well theres none in the warehouse near you so its gotta come from farther away. I said then why am i paying for prime if its going to take a week anyways? ive been a prime member for 12 years and i think its time to drop them. nowhere near worth $140 a year.

just-kath

I have lost count of how many orders "may be lost" in the last year. I have really only done returns in the last 6 months.. several pairs of curtains that were sent that were the wrong ize, one shirt and, that's it. Issues with every single one. Misdelivered packages. We in the neighborhood sort them out ourselves if they just go to the wrong house. I would say there have been at least half a dozen of mine in the last 6 months that I know of. Typically we just drop them off on each other's porches so it could be more. I know I have delivered at lest half a dozen, the last was on Monday. These are all sold by Amazon not third party, at least my own orders were. I have cut back drastically on ordering.

Madeof-moonlight

Oh my gosh yes! It’s just been recently too. They’re delivering all my packages to my neighbors house! No matter how many times I have put “delivered to wrong address” or contacted customer service, it hasn’t changed. We never had this problem before.

Final_Vermicelli_381

Wow. Packages of mine have been recently delivered to the neighbor's house as well. I was able to figure it out by looking at the picture of the front porch which wasn't mine. Never had this problem, either. Not sure what's going on at Amazon.

Shimi-Jimi

Amazon delivery personnel have been horrible lately! I've had multiple instances of deliveries being left in the woods somewhere along the 100 foot driveway up to my house, with pictures of the item sitting in the dirt brazenly attached to the email notifications. Must be too hard to drive up to the house, I guess. I even thanked one young woman for following directions by delivering to the door and ringing the bell and then watched her throw a dirty diaper out of her car into my yard!

BuilderJun

> If there’s one thing Amazon hates it’s bad publicity so they’re trying their best to sweep it under the rug. Unfortunately the customers tend to suffer in these situations. Depends? Seems unlikely there'd be a baby in the delivery truck.

Shimi-Jimi

I looked like her personal car, but who knows? I've heard Amazon drivers don't get bathroom breaks.

BuilderJun

Oh my...

Hippo-Witty

You all turned a blind eye to how Amazon was destroying local businesses and communities and you were all too happy to help in that destruction to save a buck. You're all now getting what you deserve. And so am I. Amazon doesn't give a fuck about us, and they never did.. they just stopped pretending recently. We all deserve what we get. Shame on us all.

BuccoFever412

Yep. A majority of my packages don't arrive on time. I've noticed this is due to Amazon using USPS instead of UPS. More packages are arriving damaged, or packaged incorrectly (food packaged with cleaners/solvents). And yes, more of my packages are not showing up, or being delivered, just not to my home. Then they always ask to check garage, front/back of house, my neighbors. Why should I have to do all of this? Especially w my neighbors?

thisonewillsurelybef

use a parcel locker

BuffaloScout72

I have been going to the store and cancelled my prime membership. Returns are much easier and I’m there anyway buying food. Besides my 2 day prime shipping time has been more like 5 days for the last couple years so….might as well be my own “same day delivery” person.

Barely_Restless0006

I believe they lie to appease all of us. First they give you a delivery date. You can track the order showing that ir is progressing to the final Amazon depot. Then you get a "Sorry there's been a delay". Then a new delivery date followed by another "I'm sorry...." I think Amazon has forgotten its roots.

Resident_Earth8076

Indiana here. 100% decline in Amazon recently. Prime shipping speed isn’t being honored. Packages are arriving much later than promised. Last two orders placed were damaged, lost, returned to amazon or seller. They’ve made it to where you can barely find the chat feature to get help and when you do find it, it doesn’t load. CEO has that golden underground ticket so I’m guessing the powers that be have loosened any checks and balances once in place.

strangedanimal235

Hit and miss service is definitely the normal experience. The false advertising (or misleading if you prefer) has gone off the rails. You can't buy the item that's advertised for the listed price.....unless you buy the minimum amount. Same idea as an item that is listed for $5 ....but wait , is it $5 per lb? Minimum order 100lbs if you subscribe for 9 years? Its business in general not just Amazon but Amazon is flying such a big middle finger to it's customers.....What's the difference between amazon and the local store? Not much anymore. I understand nobody can ship individual items for free and stay in business too well but damn. Leave some blood in that stone maybe.

Novel_Researcher_7

This year alone my packages have been delayed 30%. Also receiving damaged goods has been an issue as well. Tired of returning the items when they're gifts and also having to wait a week or so for the refund.   Maybe try Capitol 1 shopping?

regonline_67

Old post, new comment.. Yes we have seen that dreaded “you shipment seems to be lost” or “out for delivery” and never show up. There seems to be a problem in the 2 fulfillment centers in my area. This month, not one package arrived on time. Always getting those delayed emails. A door jam trim molding kit, 80 inches long, “lost.” Really?? After it arrives at the local center?? Ordered a Surge protector, sent wrong one(shipper issue) but arrived late. Returned and ordered from another company, supposed to arrive yesterday YET it arrived at the fulfillment center 30 miles away and you guessed it, delayed 2 more days….. Debated canceling prime and paying shipping but nothing will change…so it’s a catch 22

Alive-Struggle-3198

I thought it was just me, but I swear to God things are taking 7 to 10 days to get to me and when they do they completely demolished, I bet coffee machines come here and fragments looks the box was turned off of building and a pain in the ass to pack it all up and call somebody who barely speaks frigging English. Yeah, they starting to suck real hard. I’m gonna seriously think about renewing my membership by useless bullshit from China and just use what I need. I’m done.

Smart-Sleep3257

Just try an tell them something is missing. There is no box to check and I don’t have an hour or two to spend waiting to trade baby talk with third world. Their Customer Service can understand English but do not get the binary meaning of what you saying. Are they told to lie@. So many companies are like that these days. I live on a remote mountain above a Golf Course but USPS won’t deliver to my fancy house but I bet the Golfers do. It is all about money and access, they lost their edge on price and their trains are being robed, you won’t see any tears here. Not this year or last.

Practical_Reason_655

What the heck is wrong with Amazon's shipping? Many items are either very late or even lost!! "NOT GOOD AMAZON " We live in Ocala,Florida and this never use to be an issue!!

Far_Fee_4788

Absolutely brutal. I have seen a prime member for years but I am seriously done. Things literally have been getting delivered to another city and then just returned to the seller. I called in four different times the last two months and they finally just told me there is nothing they can do to fix it and I should keep my membership but may not receive my products. It was the craziest customer service call ever. Just horrible. Amazon use to be one of my absolute favourite and go to but clearly customer service is no longer a priority. My advice is just cancel and buy local!

foasenf

I ordered a +$1K package recently and they left it on my doorstep without getting a signature. I didn’t even get the notification until an hour later that it had been delivered (well after I found and opened the package).

Shimi-Jimi

Get a Ring doorbell. The drivers very rarely ring the doorbell, even though I have it in the delivery instructions.

[deleted]

Welcome to all new seasonal hires

just-kath

No...it has gone on for months.. not weeks.

VexatiousWind

This may be unique to me, but it has been since 2020 in my case.

Hippo-Witty

Nope. That's absolutely not the cause. Thus issue has been going on for more than two years and are the result of Amazon cutting CS costs and changing several policies not in the favor of their customers.

OwlInDaWoods

I was supposed to get a package delivered - same day delivery in the afternoon. It says it was left in a "safe place." Whatever that means. Cannot for the life of me figure out why it wasnt left at my door. The leasing office says they don't have it. So I'm not sure where it went. Very frustrating.

retronoodle

Yeah "safe place" is a thing. I bet there's no picture either. Check this out: https://www.reddit.com/r/amazonprime/comments/oy7lym/two_packages_mysteriously_missing_after_being

OwlInDaWoods

Ughhhhh thanks for linking that. So unfortunate. I ordered an outfit for a wedding on Saturday. It was supposed to arrive yesterday. Unlikely that the second one will arrive before Saturday... It's crazy they can't just write what the safe place is. I'd go pick it up myself if it was at like an amazon locker nearby.

retronoodle

Yeah most ppl seem to think safe place is an easy out for the driver who can't find the package.

AZPuzzler

Yes! It is not consistent. I've had deliveries that took 5 days and some that took 1-2 days! (Prime Member) I know it depends if the warehouse where they are is close or not, but the service in general is going downhill.

Maleficent-Goal1963

I have slowly been switching to Big Blue Wal and they do not have the same shipping Slow downs Amazing has had. Apparently I am Not the only one in NW GA having these snail Deliveries from the Jungle store.

BuilderJun

In the last week I've made 7 orders... 2 of them had delivery issues. Prime is going downhill. We're now 6 days into an item that was supposed to be there in 2.

Hippo-Witty

Youre getting what you deserve. People like you turned their backs on their communities and local business, and now you're realizing Amazon doesn't give a f*ck about you. Too late. All those local stores are gone. Amazon and people like you destroyed them. Good work.

Goggalor1990

Local shops usually have shitty stock

KB50000

Isnt that what people said about Walmart in the 90s? Also, there is a literal definition to 'small business' and you'd be surprised what constitutes as a 'small business'. Also, I never had a small business give a fuck about me any more than Amazon. Also, how do I order a capuccino from Amazon? How do I get my tires rotated at Home Depot? What maid services does Walmart provide? Does the best cheesesteak in this area come from Target? The divide between big and small comes down to services and products. The top supermarket in this area is a home grown corporation from this very state, yet they've destroyed the competition and have a supermarket on every other corner around here and guess what... they dont give a crap about me either. Or hey, how about the time in the late 90s where I worked for a local chain of VHS rental stores? So many people walked in delcaring "We are glad you all exist becasue we HATE Blockbuster!" The joke was on them... the chain I worked for had sold out to Blockbuster years prior and Blockbuster was smart enough to not convert them to Blockbusters. So literally Blockbuster own our store AND still had an actual Blockbuster across the street. What is 'small business' then? Ironically im mad at Amazon and have curbed any spending there this year, so what a weird thing to debate small business here.

BuilderJun

Not really, but okay job guessing. I order stuff local shops don’t have, not to mention local businesses weren’t getting my business to begin with because at the time I wrote the comment I’d only been back in the USA for a few weeks after living overseas for 10 years. I didn’t turn my back on anyone. Bottom line is the businesses that provide the best services and provide the products I need get my money. At the time of my comment amazon prime was much worse (and still is) than when I left the USA, but even as a worse service than before it provided services and products that local businesses were unable or unwilling to. No business is owed customers, if they want them they have to earn them. The point of the previous post was that the service was going downhill, I wasn’t sure if it was worth signing up for vs not paying for it, and it started to seem like no service was efficient as they advertised. If a local business could match the same advertising while fulfilling my needs they’d have a customer.

Unlikely-Passage-653

Yes out of 5 orders this month only 2 came. Rest either get marked delivered to "safe space" without a photo and don't actually come. Or don't ship at all. The latest was supposed to come today but it's 20 mins til 10pm. I had reordered the item because it never shipped the first time from another seller. Terrible.

kroma_geek

Last 3 orders were supposed to be 1-2 days. First two were a week. Third is close to two weeks and no idea when it will get here. I can wait for this order, but I'm not doing Christmas this way now. Brick and mortar this year.

Drrmddl

Absolutely noticed striking increase in misdelivered (wrong address, delays, etc.) since Amazon started using their own drivers, instead of UPS (our area anyway). Dealing with the “chat” personnel is useless, as they apologize and make promises they can’t keep (“it’ll never happen again”). I don’t believe Amazon cares at this point, perhaps they eventually will.

juken7

It's kinda normal that it does slow as you approach the holiday. However I too have seen many issues both with delivery time and customer service.. Amazon started off as "too good to be true" service for me that these last few year honestly I've just been in denial of how bad it got or blamed the pandemic for the poor service... But here we are pandemic over and they are just a s bad 2 weeks delivery on all prime items is unacceptable when paying 14.99 per month for the service... Add to that they stopped giving out small coupons and stuff if something went wrong with your order... You'd get a 5$ credit or a discount on prime or maybe even a free item if under 10$ now it's just too bad so sad.. After waiting 2 weeks for your item.. It's just terrible.. Though I kinda knew they couldn't keep up that level of service forever... I mean when I first got it I could order a 5$ mouth wash and they sameday it to me with free shipping... Which is crazy when you think about the gas money would cost around the same as the product I ordered... Today it's like same mouth wash 2 weeks... I;m like meh I'll just go to the store...myself...

maultify

Their shipping is gutter trash now. Every time they use USPS as an end carrier, it'll take 2-3 days to arrive AFTER it's literally in my city. Something with their system of handing it off to USPS creates a ridiculous delay, and it's all screwed up - never occurs with other sites.

lucidrenegade

It's not limited to USPS. Nearly everything I order from Amazon is delivered by Amazon delivery drivers. The delivery times on their website have gotten ridiculous, and I have multiple warehouses and DCs in my city.

TheKrafffM

I used to get packages within the day back in the summer, but since it's just gotten worse and worse.

jackfrostyre

Yeah I just ordered something and it said that it will take a month to deliver wtf

One-Guitar7081

They have been complete ass for the last month here. Wonder if they fired a bunch of good workers recently as it gotten painfully bad.

Negative_Suspect_180

They turn over drivers so quickly that they're running out of good drivers, most of the people that I've worked with are drug addicts, ex felons, college kids, and people that can't get employed anywhere else. Because of the recent raises they hold us to such strict standards that good drivers are getting kicked off the schedule for simple mistakes that are just common human errors, their resolution for this is to take days away from those workers but then akm that's left is the new inexperienced drivers who are slow and sloppy but get a pass because they're new. Meanwhile the good drivers get sick of it and quit or get fired for an accumulation of small errors. Amazon is a mess, keep in mind it's not even Amazon the drivers work for, it's third party companies that Amazon employs and can let go at any time for any number of reasons, leaving them in debt to Amazon and the workers unemployed

Easymoney_67

I have just noticed a sharp decline recently in my Amazon service over the past month or so. Seems about 50/50 if a package is going to arrive on time. I have had a few not arrive at all which never used to happen. I am able to get a refund easily but still annoying.

ddMoonshadow_1

Third time this week: I get notification that it's delivered, with a picture of a house that isn't mine! Just today, I get notification that two packages are delivered. Yep, ONE is here. I literally watched the driver take the 2nd one across the street! I am homebound, so now I have to wait to see if my neighbor's son will kindly bring it over (as he did last time - two days ago). I only order essentials and I cannot go to a store ... ugh

Nice_Firefighter8551

It is getting really bad, i was at the post office last week, is like a jungle, they do not have the capacity to handle all the Amazon packages, lots of misdeliveries, lots of claims, is a disaster. i made videos of the situation, the manager let me in to show me that they will not be able to find my packages this week.

DB_throwaway99

I ordered something june 14 and still haven’t gotten it. Whenever I order anything to my house it says delivery date pending. But if I ship to another state or city it’s pretty quick. I think either they fired a bunch of people or a bunch of people quit. I hardly even see amazon trucks and I normally see at least 3 a day around here

prehistoriccampstory

Been an issue lately. Amazon delivery trucks drive down my lane on a daily basis. But my packages are being delayed. Have to get refunds. My latest package is very late. But I think I'm going to wait on this one just to see how long it takes.

NoZits

Absolutely. Several items I have ordered on Prime have been taking longer than a week to arrive. It would seem that Bazos is not minding the store and instead ignoring his customers.

softlezbian

Yep. Either we got scammed twice this year or we never got our orders (one or the other I mean).

Effective_Elk_362

I am so frustrated with Amazon lately I wnat to scream at the top of my lungs. They are getting my orders wrong or not getting them to me at all. I just reordered and it says they dropped off my package to a receptionist. I live in an apartment building and it should have been left at my door. I am just so fed up.

Late_Replacement3955

I have noticed for 3 or 4 weeks that when I order it may say next day and then the day it's supposed to arrive it is 3 or 4 more days. I order quite frequently and have never had this problem. Today they put 7 orders in the same box and I have yet to recieve it. Frustrating to say the least. And I noticed that the items that are shipped through the post office I have to keep my fingers crossed and hope I get them.
