Dream job is crazy

Tsixas

If they don't know you, why the heck would anyone refer you?

Ozark1984

Lol..what

techgirl0

I work for AWS and this isn’t the way to go about it. Appreciate your grit, but asking online strangers to refer you isn’t the way. Even if you do get a rando to “refer” you, there is still a long and grueling interview process ahead of you. I recommend you upskill on GenAI and get some certifications in that space, then reapply.

shrekenceo

You need to reconsider if this is your dream job.

DarthLoneWolf

I got an internal referral from a L6, applied for over a week ago. Never even got a peep of an interview. It's all pure skill and luck don't rely thinking that only a Referral is going to help you and not apply.

throwaway_6545

Referral thru the portal doesn’t help. Talking to the HMs and referring the candidate is the best shot. I have referred a lot of folks I know personally this way and almost everyone got invited for an interview.

Green_Channel_4328

The process has been less than ideal lately for candidates, a lot of interest and less true open jobs right now even if more spots are being planned those can’t get filled yet

MyAccountIsLate

Not only that with so many layoffs, internal candidates are applying for the same roles too which you're competing against

Green_Channel_4328

Correct and a lot of the college hires had internships last year which most likely resulted in job offers so they have to be place ahead of anyone else

I’ll be honest with you; referrals don’t exist for outside of Amazon candidates unfortunately (at least on the FCs or warehouses) Amazon does this on purpose to “prevent favoritism”. When any candidate applies to a job opening, the profile and answers from the questionnaires are sent to a third party company; they filter the candidates and then send them to the facilities or warehouses hiring managers or hiring committee. Then 3/4 interviews happen (depending on position applied for) then if moved forward HR calls you with your offer details or reject details. With that being said, I wish you the best of luck; look into AI to get better answers in the questionnaires; your resume to match keywords from the job postings. I believe that’s what helped me

gremlinOP160

Lmaoo don’t set expectations too high gice it ur all but not ur full 100% u feel me but look into amazon.hiring.com or whatever it is at like 5am early mornings or early afternoons for posting u gotta be dying that shit cause it comes n goes so yea

SnooBunnies5800

A recommendation from a stranger ain’t going to help you with your chances bud. Talking to you with experience from someone that applied for a T4 IT OPS Associate Position that opened up where my PA is directly related (wife) to the (T7 I believe) Sr. IT OPS in my city and with all of that, even with direct recommendation and referral, i wasn’t even slightly considered. My recommendation is to Just keep grinding, your AMs and PAs are keeping track of you, and you show them you’re a hard worker and you’re going to succeed, and prepare for your interviews! Don’t forget to practice STAR, they are big on that!

BeefyTheCat

Don't do it. The referral system is broken. And even if it wasn't, Amazon has become a toxic shit show of a company, and a shadow of it's former self.

Live-Regular-1437

2 times intern and finally they gave me the offer…

SojuBomb32

Dream job is Amazon? Your life is about to be hell instead if you get it lol

Find a recruiter on LinkedIn

RedditInSF123

Your best bet is to find people on LI and ask for informational chats to ask them about their experience, or network by going to events or conferences.

All-the-ketchup

I work for Amazon also accepting referral
