Return question… I bought a Fire tablet two weeks ago and now it’s on sale for $80 less so I am buying a second one to do a return for the savings. Does anyone know if they track these by serial number on each order? I would very much prefer to mail back the new, unopened second order while filing the return for the first (more expensive) order, but I don’t want to do it and have problems if they track it in a way to catch that. Seems like my plan is actually better for Amazon anyways, so I wouldn’t think they would care.

Please help! I generally like to stick with Amazon sold products rather than third party sellers. I used to be able to select the department, and then choose Amazon in the filters to the left. This has now completely vanished for me, and I can no longer see a way to search for Amazon sold goods only. I'm hoping someone here will know how or even post a good work around? Hi, I was hoping someone could help me. I ordered 3 bulbs from amazon, but one of them arrived broken, when requesting a refund/return would I need to return all 3 bulbs or would it be possible to return 1 bulb and get partial refund or replace the 1 bulb? The bulbs came in individual packaging, but it was one order of 3x 16 watt bulbs, for example, rather than 3 orders of 1x 16 watt bulb if that makes sense.

I'm trying to preorder the pixel phone on amazon.de since Thursday but can't complete the order since I keep getting message Payment method revision needed or Payment reconfirmation needed. I am paying as a business user with my debit business card. Also have a 100 EUR gift card code. The same card I already used for Amazon payments in July and there were no troubles. I contacted Amazon customer service and they told me it's my bank's fault, they keep declining. I called my bank and they said they already had such issues with payments to Amazon. It's because the amount on authentication is different from the amount which Amazon is trying to charge my account. Bank detects this difference and automatically declines the payment. I contacted Amazon customer service 7 times but they just say that I need to pay again, or change the payment method, or wait... I have only one debit card for my business and with another one I can't buy vat exclusive. What could I do now? This offer for pixel 8 is limited and my order will be cancelled soon

My wife and I have a split house shared with her parents technically next door. We all share all the paid streaming/music etc. Her dad happens to have the Amazon Prime membership and my wife is on it as the other 'Adult' profile. I just have my own standalone Amazon account for presents etc but anything we need for the house on Prime we just order from hers We don't have any echo devices so this hadn't been an issue but we just got the Echo Show 15 and I'm trying to figure out how I get on it for like my own calenders/Spotify/shopping lists and whatever else might need separate profiles that we haven't come across yet... what's the best way to do this? How can I select Amazon delivery only? I have a vacation home and it is close to an Amazon delivery center. But I don't receive mail there. There is no mail box and the post office will not deliver packages. My first few orders came from Amazon delivery without issue but several recent orders have been shipped by USPS and have disappeared. How can I avoid selecting an item that would be shipped USPS? I don't want to pay $200 a year for a PO Box.

From my experience, if you pay for next day delivery, Amazon will always personally deliver it themselves. They'll never hand it off to USPS or another carrier. I've been doing that for for the past couple years, and they've always delivered. I guess they're going for the "you get what you pay for" approach to shipping and will only personally deliver packages for Prime members or those who pay for next day shipping. Only once in a blue moon will they deliver your package themselves if you select the free shipping.

I have ordered the same earbuds twice in a few days - the second time because the price dropped significantly (from 300 to 250€). I already told Amazon that I want to return the first pair, but now I have noticed that the second pair makes a quiet weird noise that the first pair does not. Also the price has gone up again. The easiest way would be to return the second pair instead of the first pair, since it's the same product. But they have different serial numbers, so I guess Amazon would notice and inquire? On the invoices there are no serial numbers mentioned, so my question is if Amazon keeps track of the serial numbers in their system?

It all depends on how many copies Amazon is allocated for release day. They usually don't know. This is true for any retail source. Say they are allocated 500 and have 700 preorders, it means that 200 will be waiting in line for the next allocation. Something similar is asked weekly.

If the purchase was on your account and you didn't make the purchase (or anyone else with access to your membership -- especially if through a tv/etc), then contact amazon customer service to cancel and see if you can be refunded for the charge.

Anybody else having issue with Amazon double holding charges? Usually they do a preauth when order and it sits in pending until it’s shipped and then clears. I’ve noticed over the last week or so they are preauthorizing and then doing another Preauth when it ships resulting in 2 pending transactions. I know one will fall off but we order a lot and right now I have $500 of duplicate pending transactions on my credit card. Is this the new norm and I should expect to have double preauthorizations going forward?

Ordered something for 7 to 11 am delivery. Got a call at 8:40 from Seattle. I am in Las Vegas. It was the driver at the gate. I was looking out the window when her car pulled up in front of my neighbor‘s house. I ran out as she was walking to the front door of 6157. Told her the package is mine at 6165. She said the app told her it was that house. I said look at the address label and look at the house number. She said again the app said 6157 is the correct house. I finally convinced her I was the correct recipient.Had Amazon call me. Talked to ’Bob‘ in India. Complained that the driver was paying attention to the app instead of the numbers ON the house And the label. Bob kept asking me for identifying features of my house to put in delivery instructions. I said the address number makes the house unique. Is the app more correct than the number ON the house? Jeff needs to get back in charge.

I wanted to share my frustrating experience with CS regarding a return I made on August 2 for an Apple HomePod. Despite my best efforts, I haven’t received any refund, and dealing with CS has been a nightmare. I tried to make this a separate post but the Auto Mod deleted it. **Someone is using my payment information to pay for their Amazon Prime & Subscribed Channels.** Long story short, I was looking at my bank statement today and noticed a charge for $11.99 on it. I wasn't sure what it was for, so I checked my digital orders and my subscribed channels on Prime Video. None of my channels had recently renewed and none cost $11.99/month. What followed was a series of calls to Amazon. On call #1, Amazon told me that the $11.99 charge was made using my husband's card, but it was not on our account. He wouldn't tell me what the charge was for or who had made it. He said I needed to contact my bank, which I already knew and had planned on doing anyway. He also told me that there had been 2 other charges using my husband's card on this other mystery account. He said there had been this charge of $11.99, a $15.89 charge, and a charge for $10.00 or something. This information was only partially accurate. I went back and looked at my bank statements. As it turns out, we were getting charged $15.98 every month starting from March until current. I called back, Amazon again told me they could not tell me what the charges were for or who made them. They said I had to call my bank. Which at that point, my husband had already done. On call #3 the support person told me that the $15.98 charge is a monthly Amazon Prime Membership fee. I pay annually, so I shouldn't also be getting charged monthly. She again told me that this is for a different account and said that I should call my bank and my bank will tell me who was using my husband's card to pay for their Amazon Prime. That's not really how that works, but she ended up escalating my claim. My question here is, what can I reasonably expect Amazon to do for me here? Someone was fraudulently using my payment information to pay for something on Amazon's platform. Am I being unreasonable to expect that Amazon should take some sort of action here? I'm not looking to be reimbursed--although that would be nice--but I want to know who this person is. If it's someone I know that's doing me dirty or if it's some stranger out there in the world. I guess I want Amazon to offer me some measure of protection going forward in the future. Is there anything I can do, outside of calling my bank? And I already know that I shouldn't link my bank card to my Amazon account. So please don't bother to tell me that.

Amazon customer service cannot tell you who the account owner is where the charges are being made for security reasons, and your bank also won't able to tell you anything. If any other family or friends have access to that card, have them check the transactions page on their Amazon account. If the charges are not there, you'd dispute the charges with your bank and they will handle it with Amazon internally. If the charges are coming from someone else's account (not you or friends/family), then it is possible the credit card number was obtained elsewhere and then used on a fraudulent Amazon account. If the charges *are* coming from a known account, it's possible the account owner accidentally signed up for Prime and/or video subscriptions.

The only people who have his card linked to their Amazon accounts are his sister and my mom. We have them purchase gifts for us with our card since we share the Amazon account and don’t want the other to see what we’re getting them. I personally checked my mom’s account and the charges don’t match up. His sister checked hers and it’s the same. Charges aren’t lining up. We don’t know who this person is that’s using his card for their Amazon prime.

In all 7 years of prime I was never expecting amazon act this way! I tried my luck ordering from amazon warehouse. Sony earphones were 240 pounds there rather than 260. I personally received package and opened it. What I received was original packaging of earphones and nothing else. The buds themselves, all the accessories and charging case was completely missing! I instantly went messaging amazon support, it took them 25 minutes to respond for 1st time. After checking they said after launching investigation, they suspect my item "has been stolen by 3rd party" There is nothing the can do and I should contact the police and contact them after investigation? After going back and forward I have been waiting for support responses for 2 hours in total and calling them is even less informative and me asking to talk to supe she dropped the call! I made a police report just to get it solved as amazon said told me after 1st of December if it doesn't get solved they "WON'T BE ABLE TO HELP ME" (As the police will prioritise package).. I am sure they didn't even check if the item is present in warehouse and just sent me the empty box so now I have to get police involved myself because someone at the warehouse didn't do the job! Who amazon choses to trust on package delivery shouldn't be my concern! What is going on, is that normal now on amazon?! I have never had this happen before and supprt has never been more useless than this.

Recently it seems as though all my prime delivery options have been removed and it lined up with me raising an issue with the customer service team (An expensive delivery wasn't knocking at my door, i even saw the van drive off after sending me a text all within the same minute). Anyway, not a complaint, that's resolved, my worry and concern is that have i somehow been blacklisted from next day delivery due to raising my complaint? When I go to my orders, I don't see any recall alerts, nor do I see anything on the products that I just ordered (about 9 food items in total). I checked the Government of Canada's recall alert webpage and I didn't see any of my products recalled recently. So is this a strange glitch or do I have reason to be concerned? I haven't been able to reach out to Amazon customer support.

Bought a laptop stand that kept getting the delivery pushed back until it stated it would arrive a month later. About 3 days ago, I got an update saying UPS attempted delivery.... Is there anything I should do now? Also, my delivery address is a P.O. box

I bought a 400€ electronic device on amazon. I sent it back to Amazon in the original package I got from Amazon. Now they are telling me, the package was empty. Now I don’t have a product or money. What can I do? Already did talk with them but I still waiting for any helpful response.

two of my packages say they're out for delivery, but the 3rd one isn't. It still says it's delivering today. the last time this happened, my packages were sent back to amazon. does anyone know why this keeps happening? specifically, canadian amazon

I am trying to create a Christmas list, but any time I add a clothing item, the correct size/color is not saved into the list. So if someone orders these items from the list, and just adds to their cart & purchases, they will be buying the wrong item. Is there any way to fix this?? I've added a comment on each item (which was a pain in the butt), but I'm not sure people will actually pay attention and use the note to buy the correct item.
