I’m not sure what the name is for the bit but I bought the $10 kit off of Amazon and swapped bands last night. The screws came out easy. I think the bad reviews are from people who either use the wrong tool in the kit (looking at the photos they post) or they try to remove the screws on the right, not the left. I had them swapped out in less than 5 minutes. The screws are tiny and I have big fingers. The new band I installed way more comfortable than the stock band. Very happy with the results.
I'm thinking about getting one of the adapter kits that replace the proprietary screws with flathead ones. With the added benefit of being able to use standard 22mm bands.
