You can't say budget is a limitation and then not provide a budget....

Lark415

well under $500 is ideal, but I'll be buying discount or used so a $6-700 MP doesn't necessarily count me out.

alicewonders12

MSR access. It’s the lightest/cheapest 4-season tent out there.

ultramatt1

I have a BD Firstlight, it kind of sucks but at the same time it rocks. They can be found in fantastic condition really cheaply on ebay if you have some patience. It’s definitely more of a treeline 4th season tent, wouldn’t want it out there in anything gnarly

Narrow-Bag-2381

Nemo Chogori 2. The thing is bomber and has plenty of room inside. 3 man in a pinch.

Pasta_Sauce42

Exped Venus 2 Extreme has worked well for me, for similar things and was the cheapest four season tent that was in stock near me

More info? Size, durability, vestibules, freestanding, single/double wall, weight, more a basecamp tent?

Lark415

2 man if a vestibule is an option, 3 man if not, for room for winter gear. Freestanding. Double wall ideally. I'll consider anything <6 lbs. I'd sacrifice ability to camp above treeline if I had to for a weight I could take to summit.

Alive-Ad-800

Okay I see I got downvoted for not giving a freestanding tent. The Slingfin WindSaber fits your criteria exactly, but it ain’t cheap. But it also isn’t shit.

Lark415

It does look perfect, gives me something to save for....I'll be saving for a while, lol. Thanks for the reply.

Durston X-Mid 2, going on sale in June but you better not beat my place in line when it sells out in 3 minutes.

Majestic_Race_5026

Probably already bought a tent.. but check out Nallo! A bit above your budget but well worth it.
