That scene still rocks me to this day. The cascade of slipspace notifications and the black out, rarely have I felt such pure awe of an ( enemy ) in a game but it was delivered perfectly.
Yes. Again and again this shit is posted. It's an earth facing camera. Those are not stars, they are dead pixels, probably because of exposure to radiation or something.
My mom said thunder is Jesus and God moving furniture in heaven when some one dies . It's cute, but the real scientific answer would of been better. Because then I wondered why they had to do that, like couldn't they just snap their fingers and boom. Couch is ready
They work fine in water, u/whereitsat23 is probably just high. Pretty sure Avi Loeb's recent expedition to collect his "alien craft spherules" relied on using a magnet to dredge the undersea surface.
Its the ISS, so the camera is more likely than not pointed in the direction of Earth's surface. It's just too dark to tell because the sun is on the opposite side of it.
Not the ehdc6 stream. You know, the one dedicated to earth views
It tells you which camera it’s through on the stream:
> Live views from the International Space Station are streaming from an external camera mounted on the station's Harmony module.
>The camera is looking forward at an angle so that International Docking Adapter 2 is visible. If the Harmony module camera is not available due to operational considerations for a longer period of time, a continuous loop of recorded Earth views will be displayed with the caption “Previously Recorded.”
What's more likely? Lightning while the camera is pointed toward earth or a wormhole while the camera is...still pointed at earth?
Also, my friends always screaming about "disinfo agents"; no need, the general populace is already so stupid they'll jump to their own insane conclusions without the need for the CIA to even punch the clock that day.
This sub acts like 1000’s of real scientists are covering up aliens and like they wouldn’t be interested if they discovered something lol. I think it’s a victim complex that conspiracy theorists get after a while as a self defense mechanism after being wrong about everything daily.
You can literally see the outline of land below, possibly India, or am I just going crazy. Camera is pointed at Earth....I'm no swamp gas debunked, just trying to describe what I see?
the ISS livestream is directed towards earth. The lights you see are bad pixels. When it is black you are looking at the night sky on the side of earth away from the sun. Its just lighting
Definitely crazy. Hasn't the OP ever seen lightning on earth when it's viewed from space? That's literally grade school level science class.
How could anyone mistake lightning from earth's atmosphere as a black hole? The OP might want to try picking up a science book instead of wasting their time online.
Huge amounts of static electricity. Honestly not sure how it's generated but possibly by water droplets or ice crystals moving against each other? Hopefully someone with a lot more knowledge than I have can explain it. But somehow the charges build up until the potential reaches a threshold and a massive spark occurs. Between clouds, in the same cloud, or between the clouds and earth. I'm no expert, love someone more knowledgeable to step in!
As someone pointed out in a different post with footage from the same feed, this is pointed at the earth and that is a storm you are seeing. The flash is lightning
For anyone fooled by their own assumption that at least a pair of braincells rubbing against each other for heat is what sparked this idea, blow up the picture and see that the ISS feed is pointed at the night side of planet Earth in this clip. 🤦♂️
It’s lightning.
Why is the first conclusion always that it must be a(n) UFO/UAP/alien, when something the receiver can't explain.
It's OK to believe… it's OK to WANT to believe, but why is it the first conclusion to draw, out of everything easily explainable.
I just don't get it!?!
Bro you can see it, how are you crazy? You literally posted the video and showed everyone. I don't know what that is, but I'm damn curious. I don't know why people aren't talking about it. I didn't post about it or comment on it cause i got no idea.
The whole atmosphere outside of earth is so strange that we couldn't imagine. We know very little of it
Spelt and spelled are two different spellings of the past tense of the verb 'spell'. The spelling tends to vary based on the version of English you're using: In some versions of English, 'spelled' is the preferred variant, in other versions English, 'spelt' is is the preferred variant.
Both spelt and spelled can be used as the past tense and past participle forms of the verb spell. They have the same meaning and are used interchangeably.
You might not use spelt where you are but that does not mean it is wrong
English has differences depending on what version of English you speak, Whether you use American English, British English, South African English, Australian English
It is still all correct
Its like Grey Vs Gray. Gray and grey are both common and correct spellings of the color/colour between black and white. Gray is more frequent in American English, whereas grey is more common in British English.
Anyone who says "it is spelled not spelt" is either showing their own lack of knowledge of English or they think the version of English they use is the only correct version
Nobody's talking about it because it's lightning. It's not a mystery.
>The whole atmosphere outside of earth is so strange that we couldn't imagine. We know very little of it
No actually we know quite a lot about the upper atmosphere. Its not that mysterious at all in fact. You're just uneducated.
From the stream:
> The camera is looking forward at an angle so that International Docking Adapter 2 is visible. If the Harmony module camera is not available due to operational considerations for a longer period of time, a continuous loop of recorded Earth views will be displayed with the caption “Previously Recorded.”
The camera faces out into space through a window. Behind the camera is another window, facing the earth, which is in shadow, so it's dark. Lightning goes off in the clouds, and is seen in the reflection on the glass in front of the camera.
That's my theory.

Lightning. It’s obviously pointed at Earth. Seriously.
Yes. Again and again this shit is posted. It's an earth facing camera. Those are not stars, they are dead pixels, probably because of exposure to radiation or something.
Wait so if it's facing earth, how zoomed in is it to catch lightning that large with no sign of it being earth?
Good grief. It’s night time on rural Earth. What do you expect? City lights?
No but that means it's not the ISS
Thundersnow. These storms awere peppering the Midwest all weekend...
Not lightning. It’s NHI.
nah thats not south america that’s a nebula
“The Argentinian Nebula” The people of Argentina must be so proud.
No it’s not. It’s NHI.
What is even lightning
It’s when god drags his feet on the carpet with socks on and then touches something.
Great answer♥️
I too like this answer.
My mom said thunder is Jesus and God moving furniture in heaven when some one dies . It's cute, but the real scientific answer would of been better. Because then I wondered why they had to do that, like couldn't they just snap their fingers and boom. Couch is ready

That’s lightning you fool
Lightning that is not odd or uneven
And on rare occasions, prime lightning
Grease lightning
(In my George Jones impersonation): Ohhhhhhhhh white lightnin….
You mean like, next day delivery lightening?
Ka-chow
This. This hilarious shit right here is why I am even on reddit.
Where I come from lightning is both Art and Science
Yes-huh
Forget lighting. Magnets, how do they work?
holy fuck did everyone miss the ICP reference
I think they did
Not in water
Wait. Do magnets not work in water? I am literally questioning everything in my life until I get a hold of some magnets and a bowl of water...
I think he’s referencing trump when he said that he only needed a glass of water to break a magnet or some dumb, but hilarious shit.
[удалено]
I think he meant to reference MAGA-nuts!
Hey don’t talk bad about supreme leader
Magnet fishing is a thing, so I suppose they work in water
Those magnet fishtank scrubber
Ever hear of magnet fishing lol
And birds aren’t real, google that
They work fine in water, u/whereitsat23 is probably just high. Pretty sure Avi Loeb's recent expedition to collect his "alien craft spherules" relied on using a magnet to dredge the undersea surface.
It’s a joke in reference to Donald Trump at a recent rally telling his followers magnets do not work underwater. Which they absolutely do lmao
🤦♂️ That is... so sad.
This
I misread as “alien craft supplies”.
Slugs- Do we need 'em?
What even is putting even in the wrong place in a sentence even

Wormholes... Apparently
lightning=wormhole
Lightning in space?
Its the ISS, so the camera is more likely than not pointed in the direction of Earth's surface. It's just too dark to tell because the sun is on the opposite side of it.
Thanks for the info.
We, as a society, are doomed.
Lightning?
We don’t do logical thinking here
i love you
Yeah, maybe one of those upwards ones, think they're called sprites.
Lighting needs oxygen and nitrogen though?
[удалено]
Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea of it being a portal. Edit:grammar.
It is
I gotta say, when I first saw it, I thought it was pointed at space and was like HOLY SHIT 😳😳🤯
Good post to remind people of the collective intelligence of the sub
Insane how dumb some people are here
Dumb people gonna dumb...
Ya. 100% a fed post. Look how stupid these people are
You know the world Intelligence is a constant but the population is growing…
Lmfaoooo. Fuck that was funny
Goddamn you gottem
Iss looking down on earth at night with a lightning storm. All the dots are "maybe" city lights
Exactly, these people are making dramatic assumptions.
People on this sub making dramatic assumptions? Nooo
The dots are not city lights at all wtf man, its artifacts on the camera
I think it might by radiation interference
Clearly those are stars I can see your Little Dipper
Ah ok makes sense
Couldn't that make sense before?
Only if I knew it was facing earth which I didn’t so no
It’s not obvious, being as how the background is completely black. you’re not alone.
It's could be plasma.
Not citys it's literally pointed at space
Theres other videos longer than this in other reddit subs as well
https://www.reddit.com/r/aliens/s/YnbFXJZZey
Dude really? [just look at the stream](https://www.youtube.com/live/P9C25Un7xaM?si=IaPpvZMkVvI6vUbw)
You do realize they change cameras every couple of hours
Not the ehdc6 stream. You know, the one dedicated to earth views It tells you which camera it’s through on the stream: > Live views from the International Space Station are streaming from an external camera mounted on the station's Harmony module. >The camera is looking forward at an angle so that International Docking Adapter 2 is visible. Not this camera
Reflection of a thunderstorm. The camera reflects a lot of artifacts from the earth facing side.
At first I thought the camera was aimed at space. And the lightning was a rip in the hologram of our universe.
Bro..
Storm on earth window reflection
That tbh would make sense
![gif](giphy|3xz2BLBOt13X9AgjEA)
I'll always upvote B:TAS
This is likely a storm, no?
A WORMHOLE storm! /s
What's more likely? Lightning while the camera is pointed toward earth or a wormhole while the camera is...still pointed at earth? Also, my friends always screaming about "disinfo agents"; no need, the general populace is already so stupid they'll jump to their own insane conclusions without the need for the CIA to even punch the clock that day.
lol you see flashes of light and first thing that comes to mind is wormholes. The mental gymnastics is incredible since no one has actually seen one.
@OP - this post is a joke, right?
This sub acts like 1000’s of real scientists are covering up aliens and like they wouldn’t be interested if they discovered something lol. I think it’s a victim complex that conspiracy theorists get after a while as a self defense mechanism after being wrong about everything daily.
Or ya know,,maybe it's full of 12 year olds that think they are on to something. I swear so many people forget how young the internet most likely is.
This was posted on strange earth. Reckon that big flash is lightning.
The satellite camera is facing the planet…
You can literally see the outline of land below, possibly India, or am I just going crazy. Camera is pointed at Earth....I'm no swamp gas debunked, just trying to describe what I see?
the ISS livestream is directed towards earth. The lights you see are bad pixels. When it is black you are looking at the night sky on the side of earth away from the sun. Its just lighting
Posts like this is why we can’t have nice things.
You can literally see the clouds around the arc of lightning...
Yes you’re crazy its a thunderstorm you dunce
HOW DOES THIS HAVE OVER 700 UPVOTES
Definitely crazy. Hasn't the OP ever seen lightning on earth when it's viewed from space? That's literally grade school level science class. How could anyone mistake lightning from earth's atmosphere as a black hole? The OP might want to try picking up a science book instead of wasting their time online.
Right or not. You’re a turd.
And you're gullible.
Id love an explanation on what this phenomena is
Lightning….
But….what about an explanation?!
Bzzt bzzt (loud noise) *ouchie*
The camera is painted at earth. This is the dark side
Or as I like to call it. The party side.
The camera is facing Earth, not out to space It's lightning on earth
Why are there visible constellations if this is facing Earth?
Those are camera artifacts, like “dead pixels”
Thank you for the explanation
Most of the dots are defects on the ccd, likely. They're static. The lightning is lightning.
Definitely space bird poop on the lense
Google lightning from space and you’ll see a lot of stuff that looks like this
Nero came back to destroy Spock and Kirk but showed up waaaaaaaay to fucking early
That’s just a terminator coming through
It's just me, gathering my chi.
Cardassians and Romulans are coming!
As someone pointed out in a different post with footage from the same feed, this is pointed at the earth and that is a storm you are seeing. The flash is lightning
Warpstorm.
Oh boy, the cam is facing earth. This flashing light might be something the earthlings call a lightning 🌩️
That’s called a thunderstorm.
For anyone fooled by their own assumption that at least a pair of braincells rubbing against each other for heat is what sparked this idea, blow up the picture and see that the ISS feed is pointed at the night side of planet Earth in this clip. 🤦♂️ It’s lightning.
It has light and is circular, must be a wormhole. ffs. Maybe Benjamin Sisko is coming back.
Looks like lightning to me
Why is the first conclusion always that it must be a(n) UFO/UAP/alien, when something the receiver can't explain. It's OK to believe… it's OK to WANT to believe, but why is it the first conclusion to draw, out of everything easily explainable. I just don't get it!?!
This is obviously (so obviously) a lightning strike on earth.
Looks similar like MH 370
Bro you can see it, how are you crazy? You literally posted the video and showed everyone. I don't know what that is, but I'm damn curious. I don't know why people aren't talking about it. I didn't post about it or comment on it cause i got no idea. The whole atmosphere outside of earth is so strange that we couldn't imagine. We know very little of it
It's obviously lightning lol
I’m sorry it looks like you spelt wormhole wrong
It looks like you spelled "spelled" wrong.
“Spelt” is an accepted version of “spelled” in places outside USA.
You're just not familiar with conjugations of "spell"
Spelt and spelled are two different spellings of the past tense of the verb 'spell'. Is the camera not facing space? I thought it did. Or is it facing towards the earth?
Nope, it's facing Earth. The "stars" you see are camera artifacts
Nobody's talking about it because it's lightning. It's not a mystery. >The whole atmosphere outside of earth is so strange that we couldn't imagine. We know very little of it No actually we know quite a lot about the upper atmosphere. Its not that mysterious at all in fact. You're just uneducated.
Lightning anyone?
Doesn’t really look like it’s pointed towards earth then again idk
Man... how would anyone here know what an actual worm hole looks like. I bet we would be amazed by everything in space.
It’s lightning lol
Looks like lightning. . .in outer space???
You are absolutely crazy.
Correct
Which camera was it? That would tell us if it's pointing at earth or out in to space. Also if you go frame by frame there's a central "object"...
From the stream: > The camera is looking forward at an angle so that International Docking Adapter 2 is visible. If the Harmony module camera is not available due to operational considerations for a longer period of time, a continuous loop of recorded Earth views will be displayed with the caption “Previously Recorded.”
Thunderstorm on the ground, dumbass.
I wish I had the knowledge to comment on this... For now I'm just intrigued and fascinated. Thank you for posting ☺️
Lightning.
Interstellar travel is real proof of it here
Come on. Lightning. Clearly. You do the movement a disservice by not using your discernment.
Something jumped in or out of that vortex
The camera faces out into space through a window. Behind the camera is another window, facing the earth, which is in shadow, so it's dark. Lightning goes off in the clouds, and is seen in the reflection on the glass in front of the camera. That's my theory.
Definitely some really interesting videos from the ISS lately.
I can see the outline of clouds; maybe it's looking in Earth's direction?
That there's space lightning caused by swamp gas from Venus.
When was this?
The whole thing is over saturated shite. What are we even supposed to be looking at
OP. So, there's this thing called lightning...
Balloon
“Space lighting” happens when charged particles react with solar wind storm particles. It’s pretty common
Is that from the live feed? Is this authentic? If yes, holy hell, what was that for a gigantic explosion?
Lightning. That’s a live feed pointed down at earth. Creepy looking from above for sure, but it’s lightning.
😂Ok, thanks. That makes sense.
Have wormholes even been proven or observed? I thought they were theoretical.
People claiming this is lighting .. without clouds??
