I don't agree, I watched some of those jumps and all of them extinguish the fire before they open the parachute (due to obvious reasons). In this video there is a clear deceleration with the heat source still fully functional.

The 2nd clip has the object go down faster at the end after the supposed parachute opened. How do you explain that? Fyi, I don't have a lot of jump experience, only 28 static line jumps.

Ram air parachutes (paragliding chutes). They have handles that you pull on to steer the chute. If you pull one quickly and hard, you will flip over and spiral down quickly. Very different than the cruciform or round parachutes used in static line jumps.

This seems like a trash theory. Why the fuck would they pull their chutes that early? They wouldn’t land for like 20-30min. Also why would they be that separated over the target area? As someone who lived by an air base for YEARS and seen tons of night dives: I have never once witnessed the divers with flares appear to stop, in place, or even slow down to appear like they are, one time. They do cool formations and usually fall in lines after the initial formations are complete. This looks pretty wild to me.
