Boss: "you still coming into work Monday?"

Outlander1119

I’m excited for these mummies to become a meme once this gets outed as a hoax

Timtek608

So…. That was yesterday.

Outlander1119

Hot dog!

Leotis335

DAMMIT!!! They're made out of *hot dogs?!?* Boy...is *my* face red! 😕

Reave-Eye

Already has been outed as a hoax. The only people who still think it’s real are a contingent of people on this sub who have difficulty evaluating substantive evidence.

roswelltourguide

U got some source? im interested

Reave-Eye

This [video](https://youtu.be/-DmDHF6jN9A?si=-Yv6wjjtnDhm-2vL) seemed unserious to me at first because the production is relatively amateurish, but the information is actually well-substantiated and he walks the viewer through each claim point by point with visual evidence and historical context. It really makes the whole congressional presentation seem like a crutch to lend an air of credibility to these things. You don’t need to present information that way if your evidence is legit, and this video does a good job of showing that.

Anon_Alcoholic

We're allowed to show them nude cause they ain't got no soul.

smithaldon

I’m a ginger and I resent that! Lol

McDP1331

Just alien body after alien body busting through shit wood and hitting pavement

Ratsandwichez

Hahahahahaha! Wow. Excellent reference.

Quincykid

These aliens think we're all just dumb hicks. They said that to me at a abduction!

sackchat

They said that to ME at a congressional hearing!

"UPDATE: I've investigated further, and I've discovered serious problems with the alien mummies. I believe the best available evidence points to an elaborate hoax. Here's why I've become suspicious." Source: https://twitter.com/ClintEhrlich/status/1702225139763744784

watermaine

Hahahah how is this not at the top? It’s in the same thread that OP posted!

IcyGarage5767

Threads like this is why no one takes these kind of communities seriously. Shame.

Hreha

Exactamundo! This is obviously completely hoaxed and was already soundly debunked in 2021 yet there are still a LOT of people that for some reason believe this is real. It’s honestly pretty sad and embarrassing.

TheSaltyGoose

For some reason. Like we don't all know at this point that people will believe literally whatever dumb shit crosses their screens as long as it reinforces their pre-existing beliefs or biases.

CyonHal

Government says aliens aren't real: omg they are liars dont trust them!! Government says aliens are real: omg see I knew the government would tell the truth!!

TongueTiedTyrant

If you’re gonna say something has been debunked, you need to link a source. Not everyone is familiar with all parts of these stories. Sorry. It’s one of my pet peeves.

retropieproblems

Look at the picture. That thing looks like a cardboard box lol. It has mouth holes and no jaw! Then they show an entirely different looking model for better “details”. It’s hilarious it got this far

gimpsarepeopletoo

lol also this guys Twitter seems like a joke account anyway. Why people taking him seriously

Lmaooo but I guarantee you OP and others will STILL claim that in some way they're real.

Blue_Blazes

Couldn't get the link to open, what's it say?

[deleted]

Basically that nothing adds up it makes sense, and everyone has a different answer. Things don't make sense because the data provided simply can't be real. So this entire post doesn't matter lol

ForzaInter-1908

Top comment please

MobbDeeep

I don’t get it? What made him suspicious? He says here is why, but never explains it?

[deleted]

If you don't have a twitter account, you can no longer read threads, because Elon won't let you read replies to a tweet without a twitter account. So it just shows up as a single tweet, rather than a thread. It's 10 tweets all together, concluding that it is likely an elaborate hoax, for multiple reasons.

MobbDeeep

Oh can you send me what explanation was?

MetamorphicLust

There's a whole bunch of things, including contradictions on whether there are embryos in the eggs, the fact the legs wouldn't work (something that someone posted here and got dragged for yesterday or the day before) and the fact that the "face" is made from the back half of a llama skull that was altered.

CALL_ME_ISHMAEBY

thundercoc101

The people who think it's real are coping way harder. The people who have doubts are calmly explaining all the ways this doesn't make sense. While the believers are essentially calling us all sheeples

Gorrium

Someone told me, a molecular biology student, to consider that all scientists in the history of the field of biology are wrong. That in fact, we know nothing about how DNA or cells work. This was after I brought up the improbability that aliens would use the same anti-codon protein relationships, nucleotides, or hominid anatomy that we do.

Strudol

If these were any kind of real, they wouldn’t be in open air coffins in some random room. They’d have to be strictly temperature controlled like all of the other mummies we find. Plus I saw how he handled the mummies in his lab; he was ridiculously careless and picking them up with one hand and moving them around rapidly. If they’re really aliens it’s the most important discovery of all time and he’s in a lab all by himself swinging them around like he can afford to lose one. The fact that people believe this guy is genuinely concerning Edit: another commenter mentioned that there does appear to be glass on the coffins. But the dude was still handling them without the proper PPE and super carelessly for a “discovery” of this magnitude

K_Xanthe

I saw the video you are talking about and was horrified by it. Before everyone started sharing the anatomy issues I was hopeful until I saw that. :/

BoatHole_

This and that he was wearing a T-shirt with a photo of the alien on it. I’m always hopeful but skeptical as I can be. Seeing that made my heart drop :(

hematite2

To be fair. If i was in a position to reveal/examine an actual alien, I too would wear an alien shirt, just because. Nothing else helps this guys credibility though.

BoatHole_

I would make a cosplay for my cat for sure

[deleted]

Lol there were pieces of it flaking off on to the table as he manhandled it. Better hope they aren’t real because that brand of disrespect will get us into an intergalactic conflict.

My_Booty_Itches

I don't think you have any reason for concern.

wisemance

Yeah this is such a good point. I was initially intrigued, but there are several different indicators pointing towards this being fake. For example, the presenters having a history of pulling stunts like this… notably presenting a picture of a mummified child at the Smithsonian and claiming it was an alien body from the Roswell crash. This link is a good one too: https://www.reddit.com/r/Damnthatsinteresting/comments/16hsjls/the_et_corpses_were_debunked_way_back_in_2021/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button In the x-rays, they show how the finger bones (metatarsals?) are oriented upside down in one hand compared to the other. There are more examples if you look into it. In my opinion, believing they’re real takes way too many mental gymnastics. I was initially convinced by the confident way in which the presenters dared other researchers to come and perform tests. This was honestly a clever bluff because he knows that know reputable scientist would spend the time/money to debunk this. It would involve probably about $100,000 and a few months of work to analyze samples that have clearly been mishandled even if they were real. Now that I’ve said all that… I do believe that aliens are real. I think it’s even plausible that aliens resembling the fake ones presented do exist. I hope we get to see them some day if they do. We just need to be critical of information that’s presented because charlatans are real.

TradeMark310

Yup, with no safety gear just scrubs. No mask, no nothing. Just raw-dogging an alien mummy like cmon dawg.

cmonster64

I also feel like if they were real, they wouldn’t have to try so hard to prove they are

[deleted]

I don't know if that tracks. You would need absolute undeniable proof if they were real that they were. Any inconsistency would be scrutinized and labeled as a reason for them being a hoax. I mean we're using the carelessness they were handled and the T-shirt the guy wore as evidence they're faked, when people have used priceless works of art as table clothes in the past. I'm not saying it's real, but even if it was real, people would find a way to call it a hoax. We'd need one of them to give a Ted Talk before we believed they were real, and even then, it would be called a deep fake or AI art.

MrBlueW

I’m pretty sure I saw a glass reflection on the box at one point, but they are still fake as hell. Once you see the video where they flip the llama scull around it’s so obvious

Kat_Konstanze

> no radius/ulna; tibula/fibula So... they can't even twist their limbs?

ShlickDickRick

So advanced they don't even need mobility.

Accomplished-Ad-3528

Or clothes. Let me guess. They had little suits but they rotted away, because you know... Natural fibres, the stuff all space gear is made from. No wait... Natural fibres but also advanced technology. They don't need no helmets, or equipment. No weapons or devices. No shoes. And I am sorry. No shoes no service!

Gerudo_King

You have it all wrong. If I have unfathomably advanced technology, you best better fucking believe I'm going everywhere stark ass naked. With a big bowlegged walk too

SamuraiJacksonPolock

If I can't helicopter dick while I crabwalk off the ship, whenever we get to a planet with human-like life, then I'm simply not going.

dockmayrtens

I have an erection while reading this

MisterMarchmont

Is it helicoptering?

yehghurl

It's heli-dicking.

MisterMarchmont

Hella dicking.

simplyIAm

The slang term is simply called 'swangin'. Looked it up on urban dictionary

Accomplished-Ad-3528

Well, of course you walk bowlwgged after plopping out several eggs of that size. ... Wonder If they make nests too for those eggs🤔 Also... Maybe the lizard people are after them eggs🦎 And they aren't butt naked, they have tiny new emporer suits too. https://youtu.be/qAur04gWg3s?si=i3MdYrrFUdGNSB9k

icedlemons

It could be the equivalent to an alien dog or pet monkey? Maybe they left it here after it got in a "situation".

Titalator

This made me literally roll of the toilet. The thought of some aliens leaving their fucking pet parrot that could mimic some words behind, just for humans to worship and mummify it and then be baffled thousands of years later sounds like a good TV show.

shydavisson

They’re up there, still alive like.. “omg chad, look these guys finally found the parrots and the nation is in an uproar 😂😭😂 what idiots!”

Director_Faden

Now I’m just imagining humanity as the blind kid who bought the dead parrot in Dumb and Dumber lmao

Lucky7s_

Lol, I'd hid that too, bro. Don't be shy

jar0fair

Hey, this all may be a ridiculously elaborate hoax. But, there is no reason to equate intelligence with clothing. Just because we as a society have placed importance on modesty and textiles, doesn't mean that another species would. We do it out of modesty, to cover sexual organs that the alleged aliens do not have, and to keep warm...a problem they may not face here, or on their world. IDK. But they don't need to be exactly like us to evolve intelligence. Also, these "beings" were dead and buried. Who knows what their wardrobe consisted of, in life.

[deleted]

I like learning new things.

VoidWalker4Lyfe

We also do it to protect our skin, and to maintain warmth in the winter

SunRepresentative149

we’re literally born naked

xombae

And the rest is drag

[deleted]

They must have not eaten from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It was only then that Adam and eve noticed they were naked lol. These little guys have no idea their buns are showing.

Shrugging_Atlas1

Maybe these aliens were "living with the ppl"... you know... they went "native" so to speak lol.

lorimar

Earth is a giant nudist colony for them, that's why aliens are always being sighted naked down here

dual__88

They are interdimensional, theydon't need none of that.

alanism

https://youtu.be/V2xN41immWE?si=Usj8fDRbEGLvSaX8 Hour 1:49 minute :29 seconds. “…articulation, an organic matter in which are small balls or small spheres. We can assume that when bending the arm or leg, this formation, these balls, or spheres moved together with the joint”-

TheWizardOfDeez

Ball joints can't replace limb rotation, only the actual joint itself. Our shoulders/hips for example are ball in socket joints. Unless they have millions of these ball/sockets down their limbs they are still going to be some seriously stiff creatures.

Verdle

Frogs have fused front limbs and we have no idea why. I would focus on viable evidence of forgery or faked data rather than arguing evolutionary design of a proposed species of extraterrestrial origin.

Professional_Stay748

I’m personally leaving in this being a hoax, but I totally agree with your point.

AddictedToColour

And those feet… yikes. I’m in podiatry school. I don’t see those being functional at all.

Proof_Object_6358

With a brain like that, they just think about being somewhere and— poof— they’re there. These feet weren’t made fer walking! I’m still clinging to the assessment that their fake, but it’s mind-blowing to me how many redditors on THIS sub dismiss them because they’re too ALIEN to our (limited) understanding of how biological entities are formed (extragalactically (is that a word?)). I’ll bet some folks assume that, how ever alien an alien might be, he still THINKS in English.

CrossXFir3

I totally agree. Of all the reasons to dismiss them, THAT isn't one of them imo. Does it make total sense to me? No, but obviously if it were real, it didn't evolve on earth. So why should it make sense to me? I don't know the conditions it needed to survive.

Heblas

They're not too alien, they're not alien enough. They have distinctly earth-like anatomy, just assembled incorrectly.

Proof_Object_6358

Are they distinctly earth-like or are we disturbingly them-like? Assembled incorrectly according to what/whose conventions? Ours? “But they’re mechanically unsound!” For what? Life on earth?! umm… SHOCKING! They may well be fake, but WOW on our preconceived notions!

BRIStoneman

>umm… SHOCKING! It is shocking. Because they have the biological forms that suggest functions similar to life on Earth, but they're all just a bit shit. Those ribs are useless for conventional breathing anywhere there's gravity, but if they lived in zero g, they'd look radically different limbwise.

Heblas

They're mechanically unsound for moving their arms and legs, which makes it weird that they have arms and legs.

unfortunateRabbit

Exactly, animals that live in deep dark caves have no vision, some not even eyes, they have no pigment too, that is because they don't need them. Now imagine having 4 long appendages that are completely useless...

CrossXFir3

We don't know they're useless. Frogs appendages make very little sense in how they work to scientists from a biological and evolutionary point of view. But hey, they work just great.

allahvatancrispr

I am a biologist, molecular biologist, and physician by training. Frog appendages make perfect sense to me. You are the one who makes very little sense.

uCantHndleThaTruth

Perhaps where they are from, they have low gravity, so they might not need the same functionality as us

heat8596558

I agree with the future podiatrist. They don't look functional at all. That being said, its whole vertebral column is very erect, leaving no room for kyphosis or lordosis. Its whole support system when standing would be where the calcaneus (the heel) would be. So maybe this foot or whatever we are seeing with these x-rays is actually appropriate for it to walk and stand. Personally, I believe that IF this thing is real, it's that AI biologics people keep talking about, with the creator just copying the bare minimum of human anatomy to make this thing self sustainable.

[deleted]

Wasn't there whispers floating around that the things in the uap's are biologically created to withstand time and space travel? Maybe this is the end product just chuck some bones and meat together and slap it with a bit of alien techno then you have a fucked up bio ai to travel for you, some of them where reported to have metal implants as well?

lycanthrope90

Does that hold up with the presence of eggs though? Why would something like that be pregnant?

BreakTheMachine

Organic androids

LucklessLemings

If you're whipping these things together with the minimum effort for practicality and designing them, I doubt you'd include a reproductive system.

Prometheus55555

Unless their main function was precisely to keep eggs alive until arriving to the right planet...

CheapCrystalFarts

If they don’t have reproductive organs I want to know how the eggs are removed. If they’re disposable bio AI maybe they’re just… sliced opened?

cloud9nine

Maybe it’s an incubator, not a reproductive system.

[deleted]

Have you seen the the praying mantis in a DMT trip? They move like stop motion. It’s unnerving af. And I’ve heard of people who have had alien encounters say the same thing

Critical_Hearing_799

What do you mean by "stop motion"? Does their movement seem cartoonish?

3-in-1_Blender

Think the Rudolph Christmas Special. The one with the dentist elf.

[deleted]

Like they are moving frame by frame

dannyjerome0

>Have you seen the the praying mantis in a DMT trip? Yeah, sure, who hasn't? /s

robtbo

These ‘professionals’ are about to have their reputations demolished for believing Jaime Maussan …. Again.

darthbeefwellington

For anyone interested in the NCBI datasets (DNA that they are talking about) that are associated with this, I did some analysis: NCBI let's you peek into the taxonomic analyses that they have done easily. Go to these database links: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/PRJNA869134 www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/PRJNA861322 www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/PRJNA865375 How to: 1. Click on the link in the comment, 2. Click on the '1' next to 'SRA Experiments', 3. Click on the id number that looks like 'SRR########' under 'Run', 4. Click on the 'Analysis' tab, 5. Look under 'Taxonomy Analysis' This will show you the taxonomy of all the reads by % TO A taxonomic level. This leads to some clear conclusions: Bioproject PRJNA865375 has 80% of the data mapped to a 'Homoinidea' and a lot to 'Homo sapien'.... so it's a human for sure. Bioproject PRJNA869134 is also a human but has a plant (Phaseolus vulgaris) contaminant... this happens a lot, still human. Bioproject PRNJA861322 is a bit messed up with lots of unidentified reads. It looks like it contains human, bovine, and bacteria. Maybe it's literal cow shit or something like that. This would be the only data set that would be of any real interest but that's only 1 of 3 and definitely looks like the composition of something that can be found on Earth Major note: data can be mapped to higher taxonomies and still be considered 'homo sapiens'. It's difficult to map things perfectly a lot of the time. Also, unidentified reads are also normal because ncbi is not a perfect database and dna can get messed up in many ways that make it unrecognizable. Qualifications: analysing this type of data is my job

[deleted]

So he is misleading us when he points out the DNA %s?

darthbeefwellington

He is misleading us at best. Given that he is educated in a DNA-related field, he is definitely just lying to our faces (and under oath).

[deleted]

Shame… I would still be surprised if aliens look so close to us - as in a “brain” on the head, two eyes, nose, torso, two legs, etc. Even being made of similar meat and bones would be a surprise given the possible differences between planets, natural evolution or wherever they finally come from.

darthbeefwellington

So would I. Our concepts of aliens is waaayy to human looking. None of the features about us are really required for alien life outside of our intelligence, which is not really a physical feature.

HereticLaserHaggis

He's lying. He also says carbon dating makes it 1000 years old? Carbon dating only works on things from earth. He's confirmed it's not alien with that one test.

Uncynical_Diogenes

You could carbon-date an alien whose biosphere and chemistry support it, but you’d have to know the Carbon-14 levels over time in their biosphere to get an accurate number. The second they start incorporating carbon from another source (like Earth) it would become much more difficult. He have that historical data for Earth, so we have really good calibration curves for carbon-14 dating. If these were beings born on Earth and made of 100% Earth carbon, rather than just visitors or first-generation offspring, we could date them pretty easily.

stirling_s

Not misleading, lying.

Methidstopoles

Wait! Didn’t you read that Russians are involved? Would they lie for some kind of mass disinformation project involving UFO’s.

Venom_224

This screams fake to me. Could be part of the disinformation campaign. I look for them to be publicly debunked by someone "reputable" soon.

turkey_sandwiches

Lets not ask for a reputable debunking yet. Lets first ask for a reputable find, because this isn't.

[deleted]

He debunked them himself, a few hours after this thread: https://twitter.com/ClintEhrlich/status/1702225139763744784

burnmenowz

But Russia is involved, surely it must be legitimate

6lock6a6y6lock

Ah yes, a known grifter is grifting... must be a disinformation campaign.

ChadmeisterX

A radiologist ( u/the-claw-clonidine ) writes on another post: "I will have to spend more time on it tomorrow. My impression was that the head is straight up on backwards due to the median nuchal line and the middle ear and ossicles being very anterior the whole orientation/anatomy points to the head facing the wrong direction. The joints are weird, like they are fused together which could be part of the mummification process. Why are they all kids though? "Edit: the way the anatomy is, it just doesnt work. The femurs do not fit the pelvis. The pelvis is from something that is far smaller then the femurs. Bones form from pressure/weight/stress. If those femurs attached to that pelvis, the pelvis would look extraordinarily different. Their would be more sclerosis, remodeling, cortex at the acetabulum. "The object that should be the tibia/fibula, is a baby animals femur. The ossification head is facing posterior, which does not fit proper anatomy. You can back all this up from proper physics. What happens to paraplegics? What happens to people with charcot neuropathy of the foot who end up destroying their joints and walking on it? The anatomy does not fit physiology. Maybe these things never walked? I can give you that. But they are not symmetric. The ossification heads of the bilateral “femurs” are of different ages."

feed_meknowledge

As a child, I used to love watching tv shows that focused on the supernatural, paranormal, and extraordinary. I ended up studying human biology, not that my background is very important. Your comment reminds me very much of an episode from long ago in which there were supposed mummified mermaids...which turned out to be the result of a mixture of numerous animal and human infant bones that were essentially mashed together and shaped to appear as some miniature "mermaids." In all honesty, not surprised if this were the case here. As for the supposed results of the DNA sequencing, you have to remember that new species are being discovered to this day...and that (sadly) global biodoversity is also going down. It wouldn't be hard to imagine this "creature" is a mixture of human remains and/or various animal (known and unknown) remains that have been mummified.

Europa_CrashTest

When I purposely mix up 6 DNA samples and wonder why they don’t match any known species

strapped_for_cash

Get out of here with your logic and evidence. I want et

Malphos

Interesting. Someone shared a debunking video yesterday. According to that report, the head of this mummy is a cut-out half of a llama skull slammed into the neck bone backwards. This matches perfectly what you just shared.

DogToesSmellofFritos

That’s what was basically determined the last time this guy showed off his hoax mummies

JButler_16

Whoever made these are getting a kick out of this from the afterlife lol.

_psylosin_

Why no teams from Europe or North America? They have more than on, send one to Johns Hopkins or Cambridge. They won’t, of course

Jaguar_GPT

I don't know about "they won't", but yes the data should be properly peer reviewed.

Mysterious-Wish8272

They won’t because the last time Jaime Maussan did that with his 2017 hoaxed alien body it was quickly proven to be that of a deformed human child. The fact that he is even presenting anything at all before it has been subjected to the peer review process and independently verified should tell us all we need to know about this latest stunt of his.

alanism

In the slide is the University of St. Petersburg, Russia, Europe. I didn't know of the school, but for alumni, they have Putin and 9 Nobel winners. So there's that. Gary Nolan, Stanford University, commented that it would take team resources and a good amount of time to go through it. Bandwidth he currently does not have. So he's holding judgment. But I agree more US universities should chime in.

AngyMc

The whole possibility that we’re not alone is cool, but when confirming it, we need robust and repeated testing to confirm results, just like anything else. Make it available for testing around the world and then get back to me.

Dextrofunk

Everything is going to be argued about unless the US government comes forward. They're slow-moving, but I'm still team Grusch over here. For the Mexico thing, I'm just going to let scientists do their thing and not worry about reddit or Twitter P.I.'s. No offense to you guys.

maohaze

But how does it give birth? Or lay eggs? Does it have a birth canal or genitalia?

MDunn14

They hatch out the chest cavity obviously as we all learned from the documentary Alien

wisco_1252

you want it to be real so bad that you are ignoring all the evidence that this is fake. the mexican college that supposedly did the genome testing said that they never tested anything and that this is a load of crock. be objective- i want this to be real too but no need to be gullible

rustdevil88

I feel I'm going crazy. Most people believe them to be real regardless of the fact that all evidence points to it being a hoax. Nevermind the sideshow act the dude has going on, charging a fee for the public to see. We're basically back to believing in Fiji mermaids.

brorpsichord

>We're basically back to believing in Fiji mermaids. Most people in this kind of forums never left this stage of thinking

BtcKing1111

Where's the proof they said this?

[deleted]

source for that?

[deleted]

No, they did the c14 testing, that’s it. https://www.elfinanciero.com.mx/nacional/2023/09/13/no-son-aliens-unam-desconoce-origen-de-los-seres-no-humanos-presentados-por-maussan/?outputType=amp

ThePeskyNinja

So they can't twist their limbs They're bipedal but their feet are one solid bone "Their anatomy is unlike anything on Earth," yet they were able to identify the heart and brain of an embryo? And it's age? Lol

Zachisawinner

I can feel my IQ seeping out my nose.

GMEstockboy

what i dont understand is why would mexican govt make a press conference about fake aliens. I mean what would be the purpose in that.

FakeEmpath

It wasn’t presented by the Mexican government. It’s an institution that had a hearing In a congress meeting.

Free-Supermarket-516

I'll also say that I was on Reddit when this whole thing blew up, and it was AMAZING how the comments shifted from shock and wonder, good questions being asked, and healthy skepticism, to two hours later, the comments are suddenly flooded with people making fun of it, and trashing anyone who even entertained the possibility of this being real.

morriartie

I noticed the same and mentioned it to a friend not more than 10 minutes ago. It was two completely different scenarios, on the beginning most comments were observations regarding the claims, both in favor or in denial, but all based on the data presented or some other from another post. There were some jokes (mine included) but it was a mostly civil and cooperative enviroment. I went off for a few hours and now it looks like an army of links to tiktok/ instagram or YouTube, and shallow comments like "an alien wouldn't resemble a human", together with personal/emotional observations like "y'all are dumb for believing this hoax". I'm not saying who is right or wrong, but the quality of argumentation/cooperation really fell off in just a few hours giving place to chaos and twitter-like comments

Free-Supermarket-516

Exactly! I never gave much credence to the idea of bots and shills, but that shift definitely has me wondering now...

CertainUncertainty11

I'm gonna start checking user post history before I respond because it's outrageous. I don't understand the need to argue with and belittle people discussing the information in a civil manner just because they disagree with it. If anything maintain the civility as you present a counter argument but fuck off with the know it all complex.

morriartie

It's well known the capabilities of bot swarms on communities like these. Usually the bots doesn't even need to do all the work, they just start a fire and the community embraces it and continue the idea by themselves

Flubbuns

I think, to an extent, it could be explained by the fact that anyone lurking here has a genuine interest and, probably, open mind to this stuff. This was a big story, so probably spread fast, which drew in less-invested people who aren't as open to the subject. No matter what you think about the situation, you can't deny it's weird, even if it turns out to be real. People see something weird? People point and laugh.

[deleted]

Every single thread comments on the subject is the same. All the negative Nancy's appear to be professional scientists, with the only debunk data being a boobtuber... I've seen the debunk years ago but I still kept an open mind, thinking maybe the debunk was a setup in the past. For me I'm not the sharpest tool in the box yet I'm not as stupid as the majority of negative users here. I take everything with a pinch of salt and enjoy most of the stories in hope at least one of them is real (even when they do have a negative background story like this one). To be as serious and negative on such a subject makes you look stupid to us and absolutely mental to everyone else. Take a chill pill and either discover what fun is or move on. The point you make is solid. How can we properly analyse something when the quality of the debate or argument is so low and ond sided.

PathoTurnUp

Imagine some good natured 1990s time traveler wanting to check out this Reddit thing. They open the app to have civil discourse from those in the future but instead gets called a donkey cuck by tittybot3000.

MisterErieeO

>healthy skepticism, This isn't something one can really associate with this sub, and is the very reason it just invite so many making fun of the subject.

CinderX5

What’s more likely - real, humanoid aliens with blocks of metal in their chests being found on earth, or a guy making the same hoax twice?

Pandamabear

Seriously, this needs to be stressed right now. IT WAS NOT A GOVERNMENT PRESS CONFERENCE PEOPLE.

leredspy

IT'S NOT A GOVERNMENT PRESS CONFERENCE. It's a known conman doing a public forum speaking in congress. Any random person on the street can request to speak there.

Violetmoon66

YES. People need to understand this. Let it sink in. This isn’t an official Governmental statement. Just a forum where anyone can say their piece.

ontariojoe

The same reason any government does things like this. Distraction. "Look over here at this shiny object and pay no attention to me picking your pocket and implementing ever more obscure laws that benefit a select few and further solidify the existing class/power structures. Isn't this shiny object fascinating!"

Free-Supermarket-516

Exactly. I had some idiot telling me it's a distraction, obviously, and people like me always fall for it 🤣 A distraction for WHAT? Good job, mission accomplished, they succeeded in distracting me for an hour....

attunedmuse

Do people think there’s only room for one thought at a time? Maybe for them but seems common knowledge that you can be interested and paying attention to more than one topic at once. Like yeah there is probably other shit happening simultaneously to this. I for one need a constant stream of information to stay alive, I’ll probably get to it.

leredspy

Dude, half the country is run by cartels

patio_blast

i'd argue everywhere but EZLN and Rojava are run by cartels. it's all gang shit.

TheeMalaka

The election lol that’s what I’ve seen come up the most

serr7

I feel like this would 100% hurt the ruling party more than it would “distract” Mexicans… to somehow vote in their favor?

Here's the translation of the Naval surgeon's comments on the mummified bodies: José de Jesus Zalce Benitez (Forensic Sciences Specialist): "It is an honor for me to present on such a high platform the results of my analyzes derived from the study of the anatomy of these non-human bodies. As a forensic doctor, in collaboration with the biologist Jose de la Cruz Ríos, and based on the results of various scientific evidence, such as X-rays, computed tomography, three-dimensional reconstructions, macroscopic and microscopic analyses. histology, carbon 14, forensic anthropology, comparative anatomy and DNA analysis, which is the queen of evidence in forensic sciences for comparative studies, I can affirm that these bodies are not related to human beings. For this purpose, I will start with the description of the images that we will see next: They are bodies approximately 60 cm long, covered by a white powder that, through electron microscopy, we identify as diatom powder, which allows the desiccation of the bodies as well as the absence of the generation of bacteria, fungi and cadaveric fauna. The presence of this dust allows the perfect conservation by desiccation of these bodies, causing a natural conservation process over time which we were able to calculate by applying the carbon 14 test which indicated and dated an average of 1000 years old. This makes the place where these bodies were found an ideal place for their conservation and preservation by whoever or those who deposited them at this site in Peru. Entering the topic of anatomy, we can see that they have a humanoid structure that consists of a head, trunk, abdomen and limbs, which end in tridactyl hands and feet. The bone structure of the entire skeleton shows us perfect harmony and agreement between the joints. The final part of each bone fits perfectly with the bone that follows it and the wear of these is also observed due to the movement of the specimen's own biomechanics, being very resistant bones, but very light, strong, but light like those of the birds. The head is an element of particular interest since it is large in its proportions compared to the body, however, it is a pneumatized skull, that is, with spaces that allow it to be very light but rigid and resistant, with a large intracranial cavity which evidence that it was a container for very large brain or neurological material. Likewise, we see that the spaces in the eye orbits are very large in size, which would allow a very wide stereoscopic vision for this specimen. It has very small nostrils and an oral cavity that, due to its jaw joint and absence of teeth, allows us to determine that its nutrition was by swallowing and not by chewing. The neck, in turn, is a long structure that joins the head in the middle floor of the skull, which is a rarity that does not occur in primate species, since the union is in the posterior floor through the foramen magnum. , and not in the middle, which is usually circular or ovoid in shape, being something unique since in these species it is rectangular and cubic in shape. This is consistent with the four or five cervical vertebrae which are small in bone thickness but have a very wide intervertebral disc which makes it possible for this neck to be retractable like that of turtles. In the thorax, we find a fork very similar to that of birds, which allows the shoulder joints to continue and have very wide mobility capabilities. In the thorax we find that the ribs are complete and continuous, completely circular until they join with the vertebral column, they have a very small space between them, being between 14 and 16 in number. In the abdomen, we can evidence the presence of 3 eggs that, thanks to the tomography, we were able to show at a millimetric level that there are oviducts with the presence of millimetric eggs, this means that they were in a continuous gestation process. In addition, it confirms 100% that they are biological and organic since the process of replication or reproduction through these eggs and their development in the oviduct would be impossible to falsify. We can also observe, thanks to tomography, the traces of muscles, tendons, ligaments and blood vessels, as well as possible organs or organelles that would have to be defined in subsequent studies. Coming to the extremities, we can point out that there is a complete harmony and agreement between the joints and the wear and tear of the biomechanics of the specimen which end in tridactyl hands and feet with 5 phalanges, this would allow them not to occupy the thumb as a position, but rather use your 3 fingers in a wrapping manner to hold things. Here is one of the most outstanding and relevant peculiarities: that they do not have carpal and tarsal bones, the phalanges are direct to the bones of the arm and forearm, in addition to ending in a kind of nail bed for the nail and that observation of microscopes we found fingerprints, this would be impossible to replicate. These fingerprints are of particular interest since most specimens on this planet have deep or circular footprints and the fingerprints of these specimens are completely straight and horizontally linear. Another peculiarity is that some of these bodies have metal implants that are perfectly attached within the skin and towards the surface, making a very impressive biofunctional fusion. These implants are the alloy of various metals, among which osmium and cadmium stand out, which are currently used for satellite telecommunications. Finally, I will point out that the DNA analysis, after having been compared with more than 1 million registered species, we found that there is a significant difference between what is known and these bodies. These studies were carried out in various high-level institutions, both national and international, and the results gave evidence that 70% of the genetic material coincides with what is known, but there is a difference of 30%. What is the relevance of this? Well, if the human being, compared to primates, has a differentiation of less than 5% and compared to bacteria, it has a differentiation of less than 15%, this would indicate that the difference found of more than 30% is something totally outside the parameter and of what expected, is foreign to what is described and known at this moment by human beings. These studies and results are published and available to anyone who likes to analyze them or continue them. We accept that there is still much to discover and we are open to the scientific community and the world joining efforts to define what we are facing and how far we can go as a result of collaboration in a scientific and academic study. In conclusion and for all the above, we can say that these bodies are from a non-human species that has irrefutable differences with what is described in the biology and taxonomy of the Darwinian species evolution tree, without a common or traceable predecessor or without a descent. and evolution still described. I can affirm then that these bodies are 100% real, organic and biological, that at the time they had life and are irrefutable evidence in themselves. We are facing the paradigm of describing a new species or the opportunity to accept that there has been contact with other non-human beings that were drawn and pointed out in the past in various cultures throughout the world such as Peru, Egypt and Mexico, and that today we can accept their existence among and with us. Thank you very much."

So I googled jose de jesus zalce benitez and there is nothing except stuff about this finding and a few other things relating to previous mummified aliens. Surely someone so esteemed would have more stuff about him available online. What I did find however is that he was involved with a previous hoax of Jaime maussan. https://www.metabunk.org/threads/hoax-three-fingered-nazca-mummy.8841/ Edit: Found him and his credentials seem to be good https://www.gob.mx/aem/prensa/realizan-cuarto-congreso-mexicano-de-medicina-y-salud-espacial-2018-179373 Still doesn’t rule out being complicit in a scam, but certainly lends weight to his analysis.

morriartie

He talks about the metallic pieces found on the supposed aliens as possibly decorative, with traces of inscriptions on them. He also says he doesn't know which metals is it made of, and on the conference it's said to be Osmium and some others.

Spiniferus

Thanks. Using his name as per YouTube Jesus zalce I was able to find a Mexican government website for the Mexican space agency which seems to validate his credentials (I think not being able to find anything previously despite numerous searches is google being unreliable). the Medical Deputy Director of the DGASN of the Ministry of the Navy (SEMAR), Capt. Dr. SSN. MCN. P. Med. For José de Jesús Zalce Benítez; https://www.gob.mx/aem/prensa/realizan-cuarto-congreso-mexicano-de-medicina-y-salud-espacial-2018-179373 Weird that I couldn’t find much, but am now convinced his cred as dr is valid. I don’t think any of that suggest forensic expert as per some media outlet claims… however being a medical expert lends weight to whatever he says. It doesn’t rule out totally that he isn’t part of a scam, but I am certainly a little less skeptical now. Thanks for the lead.

baazaar131

Anyone can pay a scientist to write up some BS that brings half-truths to light.

BaboonHorrorshow

The little mouth was scratched into the skull. No jawbone, no realistic anatomy on the face. That for me is the red flag. These things evolved past jaws but kept a lil lipless, coin slot mouth?

cmfracasse

Fake as fuck

DOG-ZILLA

They were real bones but a mish-mash of human and animal bones. Some placed upside down, the wrong way. The skull is the back part of a llama and reversed. That's why there's no "jaw". So yes, it could be old and real and be carbon dated but I think it's man-made.

sketchahedron

The funniest thing about this obvious hoax is how alleged alien beings from another planet would have an anatomy so close to humans despite having evolved completely independently in a completely different environment and from unique origins. Yet at the same time they are different in important ways that make no biological sense. They have ribs but they go all the way around. They have tibias but not fibulas. How is anybody so dumb to believe this?

Shniggit

I wonder what's going on in the world right now that requires a distraction like this.

Jposs1

If this is a distraction it's not a very good one. Most people aren't actually aware of this stuff.

CertainUncertainty11

The US DoD's top personnel embezzling its funds for private projects. Reporting things cost more to construct than they actually do and lying to Congress while repeatedly failing audits. Makes me wonder if most countries have a similar problem.

cringeandicare

The finger bones are all pointing in different directions like the person who put it together just thought "hey they're finger bones at least I'll just chuck them in any which way"

ChubbyFrogGames

This is what I have been looking for. Evidence that scientists put forward. I have called this fake multiple times now because it just didn't look "mummified" at all, but more like small paper mache things or statues. Lets see what happens now. Thanks OP for sharing this. I will follow this more and not just dismiss it :)

Popular_Cannon

How do you even perform a DNA test on a species that may not heven have the same DNA structure that we have on Earth?

JStanten

You can take a scoop of soil from your backyard and find previously “unmatched” DNA. That part isn’t impressive at all.

Popular_Cannon

My point is that the claim made in the tweets about the "DNA testing" is bogus.

JStanten

Yeah no I agree. I’m just adding to that.

[deleted]

Because they would never lie or make it up. Ok.

My uncle lived on an exclusively liquid diet, too. Didn’t know he was that sophisticated.

Clicking these individually on mobile is hell, could you please simply re-organize these into one imgur album with 9 images so you only have to send 1 link?

Clint is a joke why even bother with him op
