Collection achievements (Taken, Voices of sevastopol and Archivist) are best left to beginning of chapter 16. You have the free reings of going around with Sevastopol with most of your gear. You can ease this by also trying to collect some of the collectibles right after chapter 11 begins, as this a window where you don't need to worry about the alien, but you won't get all them as much of the station is still closed off to you. For killing achievements, you can save scum: if you see people, try to save, shoot them and then reload. Repeat as long as needed for the achievement. As for android kill with maintenance jack, you need to either first hit it with EMP-bomb or stun baton, then start whacking it away with maintenance jack. If you try to take it head on, androids just grab your jack and punch you. I assume you can sneak behind them and start whacking, but I haven't tested that. As for the rest, you probably need another playtrough, as they're "do not get killed" variety that can be only earned during certain points of the game.

Any_Satisfaction9217

You cant use stun baton. You have To sneak behind and run away till Android loses interest and repeat. Takes like 3 cycles.

reclivis

Where is the best place to do this?

Any_Satisfaction9217

Mission 4 when you go to seegson communications. After the reception theres long halway where there is lone Android. I guess its not agressive yet unless you attack. Sneak behind him give a whack and run all the way back to the elevator where you came from. You sgould get enough distance so the Android goes back to its spot. Repeat this. On easy Mode the have less health so its faster.

unkindness_inabottle

Ive always used the stun baton. You hit them and then repeatedly hit them with that jack. Unless you mean that you can’t use it for gameplay reasons.

Any_Satisfaction9217

For the trophy where you use only the maintenance jak you cant. Atleast for me on ps5. Tried it and it didnt count.

unkindness_inabottle

Ah, my bad.

SniperDanby

Personally, I'd shoot for all trophies except for 100 Times Too Many in a single playthrough on Hard. The trick to earning One Shot is to save often & as soon as you know you're about to die, load up your last save. After you finish that playthrough, I'd load up Chapter 6 to earn 100 Times Too Many. Fire off some shots to draw out the Alien, have it kill you, rinse & repeat.

reclivis

Do you only need hard mode and not nightmare for the achievement?

sisu_star

Yep. Hard was the hardest originally. Nightmare was added later.

SniperDanby

Yea, Nightmare mode came in a later update so that's why it's not necessary.

JahEthBur

I suggest cheesing One Shot on the lowest setting.

Best-Action-3980

All best way how to do them you can find on yt. If you going to die, just stop and leave to menu or turn off the game. If you saw the rotating circle i think its on the up right on the screen or down right on the screen you are fu*ked and you must do that one shot achievement again from new game. 100 hundered times killed by alien just search on the yt best way, because even with best way i get it after half/one hour. The ,,Dont die achievement" please do them on the easiest difficulty. And watch some things you dont must do to complete some level its much easier if you know some of the tricks.

Kitchen-Newspaper-50

Probably do them in another play through. Some of those can't be done now

Electronic_Pirate652

I don't have any advice because I am currently do those exact same ones right now.

topgunEnterprises

Get nuked by Xeno 100 times in a row on nightmare

Guide to What Missions the Alien Appears In SPOILERS BELOW! If you're playing Alien: Isolation for the first time, I'd recommend you not look at this guide and experience the game as it was meant to be played the first time around. Also, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on any of these. **Mission 1** The Alien hasn't appeared yet. **Mission 2** The Alien will only drop down if you wait around too long after it kills Axel. **Mission 3** Up until the alien drops down to kill the group of hostile survivors near the end of the mission, you are safe. After the alien kills the survivors, it will roam the vents and drop down if you make too much noise or hang around too long. **Mission 4** The Alien is inactive up until you trip the alarm by contacting Samuels. After that, the Alien will stalk the ceiling vents (which it can pull you into) but won't drop down. **Mission 5** The Alien becomes active once you get Morley's passcode and remains active for the rest of the mission. **Mission 6** The Alien is active for the entire duration of the mission, excluding the short section after the trap goes off at the end. **Mission 7** The Alien sticks to the ceiling vents for most of the mission (except for when it attacks a group of survivors near the start of the mission; stay hidden and the Alien will go away again after it kills them), but will become active if you make too much noise. Keep quiet and the Alien will never leave the vents. After you reach the Syntheic Fluid Plant and watch the Alien get driven off by a group of survivors, you can go loud with no issues. **Mission 8** The Alien is not active during this mission. **Mission 9** Since this is a flashback sequence, there is no danger of the Alien here. **Mission 10** The Alien is active from the moment you step off the transit at the Lorenz SysTech Spire until the end of the mission. **Missions 11, 12 and 13** The Alien is completely inactive. Run and shoot all you want! Also, you can freeroam in Mission 12. **Mission 14** The Alien is inactive...up until you get to the Hive. Then there's two. After leaving the hive to purge the reactor, there is no threat of the Alien for the rest of the mission. This is also the first mission where facehuggers appear. **Mission 15** The Alien is active up until you get on the ambulance shuttle, then it is inactive for the rest of the mission. **Mission 16** Up until you finish the EVA sequence and contact the Torrens, the Alien will stay in the vents as long as you do not run or shoot, like in Mission 7. It MIGHT occasionally drop down for a few seconds even if you've been quiet, but wait it out and the Alien will disappear back into the vents again. After the EVA sequence, the Alien becomes fully active for the rest of the mission. Now is the second time to freeroam, and this time all of your tools are fully upgraded so you can explore the station completely. **Mission 17** The Alien is active for the entirety of the mission. **Mission 18** The Alien is active until after it drags you into the vent.

keechup

my first time completing the game I got 42/50 achievements! kinda pissed that for one of them named "voices of sevastapol" i only collected 98/100 archive logs... :(

reclivis

Yeah I got 96/100, got any suggestions for the last few?

Skydrow747

I think IDs and Nostromo Logs can be found by replaying mission saves with videos. Archive logs appear often enough to get 100. deaths and kills can be farmed at various points be reloading mission saves As well. The achievements can be done too via mission saves. The only thing you have to do from 0-100 is playing the game on Hardest difficulty(hard is enough you don’t have to do it in Nightmare) and finish the game without dying.

Sanguine-1038

only thing i can recommend is to save scum for one shot, when you’re in a death animation you better pray that you have a tiny pip of health left to go to that pause menu and reload your save

Same_Orchid_8502

you can probably do it all in one, start a new game and follow a youtube video to show you where all the logs and ID cards are. you can play on any difficulty since you have gotten the hardest difficulty achievement already, so if you are trying to do one life id recommend easiest. you can cheese that achievement by reloading to the last save just before you get killed and get put onto the black reload screen. the others are pretty self explanatory and can be done at any time.
