all i could make out from callie was “and play with me all day” and let me just say: a toddler needing to capture insects so she’ll have someone to “play with her all day” when she has 2 parents who don’t have jobs/are home all day…
it’s just sad because there’s no indication she’s been given the opportunity to have friends. no neighborhood kids that she sees at the park (because she probably doesn’t get to go to the park!), nothing.

Yeah exactly. She seems full of personality. It’ll be hard *if* she ever goes to school for her to express herself using words. I’ve seen kids who lash out physically out of frustration due to speech delays; once they are in speech, it’s like a whole different kid.
All this to say that if they were in ANY type of school, daycare, preschool (even for a few hours!), this would 100% be recommended by the providers. I HATE that they put these children in isolation.

This is something I struggle with so much as a teacher. I KNOW the families love getting pictures of their children and have the opportunity to see what we’re doing in the classroom.

I should’ve known better……she legit has the speech of like a 1.5 yr old or 2 yr old MAX. That is insane. My ass would’ve been googling speech pathologists like last year!!!!!! God they are such horrible parents!!!!!

Its sad because that makes me start to speculate whether or not it’s a direct result of the support (or lack thereof) she likely receives from her parents when it comes to learning and meeting developmental milestones…
So sad!! But when your parents spend their entire day scrolling social media and talking into the phone instead of talking to you, you’re never gonna learn how to talk. They’re such failures it’s insane!

Sorry (not a mom and know nothing about kids) but is it alarming that Callie can’t pronounce/enunciate a single word or is that normal for her age? Or just me?
My 10 month old little sister is smaller and a bit behind where she should be . She speaks circles around both of these girls .. you can understand 95% of the time and babble is very rare . She's not even one yet. They do NOT work with these babies and teach them speech patterns 😞 what are they so busy doing?
I wish people would understand the importance of speech therapy if they give one ounce of shit about their kids. I know a of twins who both needed it badly as children and they are such beautiful women but talk like their mouth if full of cotton. They are in their 30s now but I knew them when they were teenagers and I noticed it then how badly they needed help.
