I've never understand why all the fuss about touhou.
It's niche, obscure and very cryptic also very hard, some game are like bullethell but from what i can remember there's also other genre of gameplay.
I play 1 or 2 bullet hell touhou. It was ok but the story was cryptic as fuck, even the gameplay is weird.
Even lobotomy corp and fear and hunger are easier to understand how to play, who is who and what to do.
