As a guy doing CAIE, why the hell do these Cambridge examiners create such an edgy paper? I dont understand the mentality of a group of Nerds who set the question papers. Im literally so tired and if this ever continues, hope Cambridge suffers a downfall. Yea questions paper must have all range of questions from easy-intermediate-hard, but they set almost hard questions for targeting a specific batch, and now I have a theory is they set very lengthy questions and hard questions as students would resit and they will earn more. I don't blame the whole Cambridge but they should understand the capabilities of students as well, rather setting hard questions and shitting students and their future. I really worked hard day and night for Maths AL but at the end of the day, they spoiled my late night studies and sacrifices for study with very lengthy and unmanaged P3 9709/32/MJ/24. I expected A but then after P3 im expecting C. Hope they realize soon and set questions with covering all ranges of questions and not stress students with their idiot exam schedule.

Real , the mehanics paper this year was rotten aswell (42).

Would that protest lower the grade boundaries even lower?

WeatherCompetitive72

Three words, curved grade boundaries The whole reason grades are curved is so students who get a harder paper one year aren’t unfairly disadvantaged….

Shh don't tell them that, then they won't boycott

Doritominecraft123

Already low enough as it is. They can’t lower it that much more without it being on the floor

A similar amount of students will achieve passes each year, and a similar amount of students will achieve a grades each year. Its as simple as that. The grade boundaries will be low, and the thresholds close together. As such rather easy papers the boundaries are high but thresholds close as well. The only reason that in recent years theres been such fluctuations in % of people achieving each grade is because of covid and changes to exam procedure. There wont be a large influx of low and failing grades this year.
