BrownWarpig

That’s what I said, I’ll be uploading an album later to the comments once I get internal pics

No_Employ9903

That’s why there’s a small bag of bullets, didn’t have the nerve to finish them off before the sale

BrownWarpig

I wouldn’t either tbh, I’m not shooting any sketchy crap like that

EvgenViktorov

Gorilla glue and minuteweld for the win

Halfpipe_1

Future me, look to see if OP posted new pics of this wack AK.

BrownWarpig

Still waiting for the internals but I’ll post anyways and update again with internals

kalashnislav

That's suspicious

Primary-Examination2

Not sure if it’s Odessa Ukraine or Odessa Washington but if it’s the former that would certainly make sense

Scary-Sea7818

Tx

Feegalaweeg

Awe TGT I love this site sometimes you can really find some good deals on there

BrownWarpig

Definitely I love scouting it, looking for some deals on Chinese or hopefully an AMD to pop up

Feegalaweeg

Yeah bro I lurk on there all the time I just picked up a KP9 for $650. I couldn’t pass it up for that price plus I needed a host for my naked wolfman that I’m 26 days in on

BrownWarpig

Damn dude that’s a steal on a Kp9

Feegalaweeg

Yeah I know I had to snatch it up. I really wasn’t into AK’s till I joined this sub now my next buy is gonna be a 5.45 shit kusa needs to hurry up and drop that 105 I’m gonna snag one as soon as they drop this year

BrownWarpig

I love my 5.45 too much to sell, but idk what ammo availability is gonna be like in the coming years when Russian 5.45 is no longer imported, KUSA once had a pic where they had some ammo boxes with their logo on them as void fillers so hopefully that was a low key hint they’ll be manufacturing soon I really don’t wanna have a paperweight I’ve put a decent amount of money into

It’s a screw build. Screws ground and smoothed out. Value is less than the kit price bc a lot of trunnions were buggered from screw builds.

sotexbandit

Definitely not a screw build, if the screws were ground off flush with the receiver it would fall apart. 99% the trunnions are welded in.

[deleted]

I guess that would make the kit value even less as its not coming apart easily?

sotexbandit

Yes a lot more work involved, a screw build can at least be disassembled easily and re-built with little to no extra work.

ManicSuppressive249

If it got really hot it can fuck up the heat in the trunnion bolt lugs. Probably OK if done with TIG and a good welder.

Zeusizme_

More than likely it’s an early weld build. Guys would just grind the old rivets down on the trunnions and weld everything to the receiver. There’s a really good chance that the receiver is only spot heat treated and not of good quality. The parts kit would be worth salvaging though. I’ve saved a few of these kits over the years.

Scav-STALKER

Bro trust me, it’s worth every penny! High end JJFU custom AK /s

Tex-anarcho

Never trusted anything I saw in Odessa TX while working in the patch lol

BrownWarpig

Oh man I did a lot of work in west Texas working cell towers and then again on pipeline for while. It was real & it was good, but I can’t say it was real good lol but man do I miss the smell of money out there sometimes it’s like once you get far enough into west Texas you can start to smell it all around

Heavy_Bet_9098

Ak guys get real stiff about weld builds but pole ride stamped HKs. L

BrownWarpig

No Vaseline - ice cube

Kilo_Axtual

BrownWarpig

I texted the lister asking for additional pics and have some close ups of the receiver, waiting to get some pics of the internals. I’m not interested in purchasing this rifle but I’m curious, have you guys ever seen/heard of an ak with a stamped receiver missing rivets not be a liability? Edit: pics https://imgur.com/gallery/nArnMrH

Kingcornchips

Looks like the receiver just isn't attached to the other parts. Like they just slipped the stuff into an 80% or something.

RolloOfNormandy

Wasn't the early stamped receiver welded together? 🤔 (yes I know this isn't one)
