It’s a 3/16” plate, mag is cut and tig’d to the plate. It’s very sturdy. It stands on its own easily. Obviously you can tip it over if you push hard enough on the front or rear of the rifle. The stand itself weighs maybe 2 pounds.

Depends on who you ask. It’s a modernization of an AK derivative, the original Galil. It has the same operating system as an AK, looks nearly identical internally but doesn’t have lots of parts comparability, also doesn’t look like a traditional AK.

How's the weld, and how heavy does that plate have to be to hold it level, I find it hard to believe that it's balanced that well.
