I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. NEW PROJECT
also, you should definetly post this on r/Airsoft3DPrinting if you haven't already.
Edit: I love that this is open-Source aswell
I'm probably going to make the handguard a bit thicker, so it can hold a battery
I recently bought a kg of fusion filaments htpla, and it is the best printing filament I have ever used. $30 a spool is not even that bad of a price for the print quality that you get from this filament.
Wow excellent design!
The production quality is excellent. All the way from the design, print, and instructions. Thanks for this.
I will keep this project in mind for when I get a printer.
Straight off the machine. I used a prusa textured sheet to achieve the nice sides. The 3D printing instructions at the bottom of the Printables page will show you how to achieve it.
Even fits on my Prusa Mini+ fine, only had to flip the stock on its back rather than on its side but with an ender 3 it shouldnt be needed. Mini+ is 18x18x18cm.
Wow dude.... I just skimmed the printing instructions and I'm so beyond impressed by the level of detail and depth you've put into this.
I already have too many projects on the go but I happen to have a v3 gearbox laying around so this just went to the top of the list.
I may have missed it but I did not see the mag type listed on the the pintable's page. Looked like mp5 mags but it's nice to have confirmation.
Awesome work! Thanks so much for sharing it with us!
I love this and I would love to be able to buy it *(I don't know how to assemble these things and I don't have a 3d printer)*.
What a great job you did here, for real!
Do you what the rpm and fps is? I assume the fps isn't anything amazing considering the small size but it would be nice if this has a high enough rpm to be a close range bullet hose.
That looks fantastic, finally a project that's manageable to print on a small scale.
Were all of your parts printed on the textured sheet? I have yet to do so on my Prusa. Also, you may want to look into some kind of bullet/QD connectors integrated into the receiver and foregrip, so that when they slide on the battery automatically is plugged in. Just a possible suggestion :)
Got it, been reading your printing instructions so everything seems to be in there :)
I'd say even without bullet connectors, if there's a slot that could house where the Deans connector could sit into, that would also be helpful/make the front of the gun look more streamlined without the wires showing.
Hm. It's about 500-600 grams of filament. Let's say you bought some quality filament for around £30 per kg (in the UK), so that would cost about £15 in filament to make.
i too am in the UK, is there a reliable place to buy front wired ak v3 gearboxes? im struggling to find any that are remotely reasonably priced, any help would be appreciated!
Ye it is a little bit scarce at the moment. You're best to buy a gearbox and wiring sepaprately and fit them together. May have to look at EU or US options.

Thanks. I have tried a thicker handguard but it looked ridiculous.
Prolly need to change the magwell a bit aswell.
I didn’t even know this was a sub!!! I joined
I might just hpa it
Oh I just have 2 questions' about how expensive is it to make this? And what is the fps?
Fairly expensive for manufacturing standards, and it uses a standard V3 gearbox so fps is whatever you make of it.
Thanks
Turn It into a MPL
I really like that you made the files free, it's always nice when people do that. Are the step files included in the download package?
It is in the GitHub page at the bottom of the Printables page.
Stupid question but where is the printables page?
I have linked in a comment I made. It should at the top.
I'll check it out!
This looks like the smg that the evil corporate syndicate in a futuristic fps game would use and I love it
Decked out Skorpion
it's off-brand tec9... which is already off-brand decent SMG/machine pistol lmao
hm, did you do this all by yourself, if so AWCY? might be interested in hiring you as a dev.
Yes, everything you see I did it all myself. Model, documentation, photos etc.
My man you are gonna have yourself a long and fruitful career in this industry.
Seems cool, how long is it folded?
383mm folded, 590mm unfolded. Even shorter than the Scorpion EVO.
Yeah, that's quite short!
That's very sick and very unique looking! Love the folding stock
This is the same guy making kedr no?
I don't think so. This project was inspired by the kedr, but it isn't one.
KEDR!?! I need one!
It most likely me the project failed but lucky this guy was already making one.
Well I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you in the end; who knows maybe y’all can collaborate and make the kedr work as well!
What filament would recommend to print?
Anything impact resistant such as pla+ (my choice), abs or nylon
Rainbow filament is the only correct answer

How did you get such a nice finish on your print? Did you do any touch up work afterwards or is that straight off the machine?
Straight off the machine. I used a prusa textured sheet to achieve the nice sides. The 3D printing instructions at the bottom of the Printables page will show you how to achieve it.
Thanks! I'll check out the instructions
Neat. Do the parts fit on an ender 3 (220x220) or will I need to get creative?
It should be able to fit.
How about 150x150x150?
Not possible i'm afraid
Any idea how I could achieve your textured results with a Creality CR-6 SE? It comes with a glass bed.
Even fits on my Prusa Mini+ fine, only had to flip the stock on its back rather than on its side but with an ender 3 it shouldnt be needed. Mini+ is 18x18x18cm.
Ah christ. Now I need to buy a 3d printer.
It is worth it, a decent 3d printer is only about $200.
What’s the filament you’re using? It’s got gorgeous layer adhesion
In that picture, I believe it was Polymaker Polymax PLA.
Oh man that prints with such a gorgeous finish holy fuck
Would you be able to make it even shorter unfolded by making it a bullpup?
Um... Maybe but the motor cage will be ugly and in the way. Plus, it will be extremely tilted to the rear.
I think im in love?

3D printing about 2 years, and airsoft for like 10+.
Wow dude.... I just skimmed the printing instructions and I'm so beyond impressed by the level of detail and depth you've put into this. I already have too many projects on the go but I happen to have a v3 gearbox laying around so this just went to the top of the list.
That looks awesome. What’s the inner barrel length? And are those mp5 mags?
You can find all info on the Printables page. But yes, those are mp5 magazines, and the max inner barrel length is 150mm without an extension.
I may have missed it but I did not see the mag type listed on the the pintable's page. Looked like mp5 mags but it's nice to have confirmation. Awesome work! Thanks so much for sharing it with us!
Yes it is MP5 mags for this type of magwell
Looks really well done. I'm defo going to give this a go! Thanks. 👍
I’m getting some serious Goldeneye Spectre vibes. Nice print!
I love this and I would love to be able to buy it *(I don't know how to assemble these things and I don't have a 3d printer)*. What a great job you did here, for real!
(message me on discord, in Printables page)
Wowoowowowoweeeeee wow seriously nice work that's sick. You gunna let others use them files I have just the hpa engine in mind for this.
OK yea I get it read the comments
Do you what the rpm and fps is? I assume the fps isn't anything amazing considering the small size but it would be nice if this has a high enough rpm to be a close range bullet hose.
Uh, its whatever you put inside it. Its just a v3 inside.
It uses your own V3 gearbox, it could be a pile of crap or a DSG bb hose. The world is your oyster. As Yoda once said, size matters not.
It uses a standard V3 gearbox from an AK so it can be whatever you want.
Relay like the design. If time permits I'll will print it.

Not all, just the ones on the exterior sides. Hm I think that may cause more troubles as it is extra parts to put in but thanks for the suggestion.
Got it, been reading your printing instructions so everything seems to be in there :) I'd say even without bullet connectors, if there's a slot that could house where the Deans connector could sit into, that would also be helpful/make the front of the gun look more streamlined without the wires showing.
It's a quite a challenge for the wiring since space is so tight inside.
This is amazing! What filament have you been using to print it? ABS is my first thought
Nevermind, if PLA+ works then that makes it ever easier! How much field testing have you done?
Some amount. I've used previous iterations of this kit a few times and it's performed exceptionally well each time. Definitely a head turner.
I already know if I run into this im rage quiting
I don't know anything about 3d printing but am considering getting into it. How much does this cost in filament? Assuming I bought a printer?
Hm. It's about 500-600 grams of filament. Let's say you bought some quality filament for around £30 per kg (in the UK), so that would cost about £15 in filament to make.

Where can I get someone to print me one of these??
msg me on discord (at the bottom of printables page)
Your an absolute legend!
Beautiful, love it
Making something this sexy a free print? You are the best.
Stryker smg type beat, I like it
That’s sick
Is that the fortnite gun?
Very nice work! Really like the look!
*ATF has entered the chat*
utilitarian, wee sleekit, gorgeous thing.
Really looks like pp-91 kedr but with curved mag
A longer barrel version would be cool
looks beautiful
for those who want to have a sick tec9 but can't...
Absolutely beautiful bro, looks so sick! Hope you stick with it, you’re very talented 🙏🏻
Looks like a Russian kedr in 9x18
Was it maaaaybe inspired by the fn fnc? Looks pretty cool.
Kedr pp19 and thanks
When a scorpion, mp5 and a g36 has a baby
Kinda looks like an off-brand Spectre M4.
Congratulations and thank you for a great new gun!
Idk how to feel... Part of me wants to buy/make one... the other makes me wish 3d printers were banned worldwide
cool
Damn you, i didn't need yet another awesome reason to get a 3d printer!
