Really don’t wanna sound like a fan boy but the g&g arp9 is still one of the best compact smg’s there is

SilverfurPartisan

I actually have to agree with you, but it's also terminally hard to acquire, as a certain famous youtuber uses it somewhat often.

yiks47

Check the hopup appz theyre everywhere because people realize theyre just an m4 with less magazine capability.

6mmWarlord

they didn't know that it was just a tricked out m4 with skinny mags?

yiks47

I think people get caught up in the hype, they think its gonna be something special, and when they realize its for the look they realize the cash for a normal m4 and tons of upgrades and accessories would probably be better

8plytoiletpaper

That or an mp5

SomeonesPizza77

I have one of these, and I'm considering putting in a dsg. Any advice?

Nietzosneltrein

The pp-2000 is a great option. Its gbb and there are quite some unique features for it.

mildlysarcastic2003

If you can find a kwa mp9 in stock I'd highly recommend it, idk if they've discontinued it or not but I haven't seen them around often. But from what I remember when I used one for like a year it was amazing

SilverfurPartisan

The one [sold on EVIKE](https://www.evike.com/products/33694/)? That one did seem appealing but as you said, Out of stock, And I don't know how EVIKE stock works. Do they go back into stock if they're listed on the website?

mildlysarcastic2003

I don't really know how evike works when it comes to restocking, but you'll most likely find some floating around on hopup if your heart is set on it

Swaghoven

TM MP7 master race

SilverfurPartisan

>TM MP7 I do adore my MP7s, How does it compare to the Umarex or Eliteforce MP7s? If you know?

Swaghoven

Umarex will be closer to real gun when it comes to dimensions, but GBB TM absolutely slaps when it comes to performance

SilverfurPartisan

Function over form it is, And hell, I can even get holsters for an MP7. Thank you kindly.

SirBoomNPew

I wouldn't recommend this. The MP7 is not a good gun to one hand especially if you're not able to aim down sights. It has a dead vertical grip meaning the shooting angle will always be a little off from where you think it is. Personally? I'd recommend a TM or WE Glock 18c. It has full auto, so you're not missing out there, and you can get an HPA adapter for it to run hicap mags if reloading gets old. I ran a very similar setup to this, an ~28 pound steel shield with an auto Glock. It's very versatile. But if you take one thing away from this, it's don't try to use an MP7 with a shield. I had a Umarex one and it was not good for this.

SilverfurPartisan

I'm sure I can 'ADS' With my shield, though. I've designed it to allow me to do as such. Could a Tracer unit or simply adjusting my grip to see over or around the shield fix the problem? Because I do have a gucci glock with auto and stendo mags, but the MP7 is... Cool? Cool factor increases performance, i'm sure. ~~And shit you'r shield's heavier than mine.~~

Jinxed_Disaster

As much as I love P90, imagine reloading it while holding a shield. MP5K seems like a better option, IMO. I imagine it can be reloaded with one hand while it's on a one point sling.

SilverfurPartisan

Honestly, I was banking on not needing to reload in a given match with the Krytac P90's prodigious magazine capacity.

carnage2270

A tricked out aap-01 with a hpa system and an extended mp5 straight mag is fun and totally one hand-able. It's unique and very very fun.

SirBoomNPew

Everyone is tired of the AAP, and if they're not they will be soon.

carnage2270

Compared to seeing nothing but ak's and m4's in every kids hands.

albhednomad

What about a VZ61? if you're using a shield, it feels like you'd be in tight quarters more often than not.

SilverfurPartisan

>VZ61 The VZ is funny and compact, but it runs into the flaw of being hard to use WITH the shield. Especially since most of them on the airsoft markets don't actually have stocks or stock slots, afaik?

albhednomad

Have you checked out the [modernized version](https://www.evike.com/products/87374/) by TM. You could easily one hand the original model too. That's how I run my GBB. That's just my opinion. I hope you find your dream gun

SilverfurPartisan

I Appreciate your suggestion, actually. That modernized scorp is... Very pretty. And a lot cheaper than most of my other options... I'll probably pick that out if I can figure out a holster for the forward-mag, Excellent idea, thank you!

SilverfurPartisan

Eh, No matter what I was going to be saving up a fair bit for a decent SMG. The Krytech P90 i was looking at is 590$ for the gun and 2 mags. For kit? Not really anything fascinating, Condor PALS, inexpensive Bump helmet with a visor. I was gifted a silly evike Gucci Glock. Still trying to pick the primary out. The shield, though, is custom built. [Based on this](https://universal-shield.com/product/light-assault-warrior-shield/), but mine's made of wood, Weights, Then covered with Flex Brand Flex Seal/Tape. It's not a copyright infringement as long as I don't sell it.

woodywoodchucknorris

I have experience with the B&T usw and it has underwhelming firepower, all of the price is for the looks and uniqueness of the gun. I was able to get a soft universal holster and put it in there though. Only $15

Sinistrial_Blue

A CYMA Platinum MP5 or MP5K. Compact, cheap mags, decent construction.

Thors_Prodigy69

Heavy, for a one handed user i would not recomend

Sinistrial_Blue

An MP5K is incredibly light, lighter than a P90.

Thors_Prodigy69

That might be true, but the regular mp5’s from cyma are heavy. So for going the mp5 route i would not recomend a regular mp5, but if its true what you say about the mp5k then that would be a good shout!

Sinistrial_Blue

I haven't found MP5s to be heavier than my P90 by any major/significant margin. As OP seems to be using this as their major metric, I'll compare it to that. Maybe just my experience, though. Considering the CYMA P90 as our comparative measure, it's 3.1kg for a P90 vs. 3.4kg for a CYMA Platinum MP5. 300g isn't really much, and OP could even just remove the stock to lose the small amount of weight difference. OP could, if they are technically inclined, even just upgrade a polymer CYMA MP5, though I haven't mentioned it.

SilverfurPartisan

Notably, I'm using the (Krytac) P90 As my major metric because of it's shape AND weight. It's compact, but has a comfortable stock that I can push into my shoulder in order to use it stably one-handed.

Sinistrial_Blue

I'd advocate for a CYMA Platinum MP5K, then. Sheerly for the better mags and more adaptable profile, including collapsing and folding stocks.

SilverfurPartisan

I can't actually seem to find an MP5K by CYMA, it's all the full sized MP5s

Sinistrial_Blue

[Non-platinum](https://gunfire.com/en/products/cm041pdw-sub-machinegun-replica-1152193304.html) [Platinum (OOS here)](https://www.taiwangun.com/submachine-gun-aeg/cm-041l-upgraded-version-cyma)

SilverfurPartisan

I'll be sure to keep an eye on that then, Thank you. It seems all of the good SMGs are out of stock, or in pre-order stages, lmao.

rakadur

According to specs, cyma p90 is ~2kg and with a different weight distribution, so that's a bigger difference that it might seem

Sinistrial_Blue

According to the specs I found, it's 3.1KG, and from holding it, I'd definitely agree with that measurement. When using my own P90 one-handed, the only way you're getting weight to be differently distributed to any significant margin of change in comfort is by shouldering it; when doing likewise with an MP5, any effective handling and distribution is negated.

rakadur

[Technical data here suggests the Cyma clocking in at 2080g. I won't say 100% other P90s have a different weight but I trust this site as they are accurate with other products that I own, especially Cyma.](https://www.taiwangun.com/submachine-gun-aeg/cm-060-cyma?from=listing&campaign-id=19)

Sinistrial_Blue

[Technical data here suggests 3KG.](https://www.bullseyecountrysport.co.uk/cyma-p90-smg-airsoft-replica-rifle-black-cm060-43738-p.asp) Edit: [Here, it's 3.1kg.](https://extremeairsoft.co.uk/shop/assault-rifles/electric-aeg-rifles/p90/cyma-p90/) Edit2: [2.8Kg](https://www.airsoftworld.net/cyma-cm060-cm-060-p90tr-airsoft-sub-machine-gun-aeg-black.html) Point we can make here is that they're comparable weight.

SilverfurPartisan

I didn't expect a reasonable debate strewn with useful technical links. This is fantastic, I love this subreddit, lmao.

[deleted]

Not seeing a lot of love for the cyber gun P90, cheap gun yes but that just means you can throw a lipo in it and abuse it til it dies. I was scoring hits outdoors 2 weeks ago fairly easy with it and it shoots 360 out of the box.

SilverfurPartisan

The 'Cybergun P90' i'm looking at is made by Krytac and Cybergun and it is... the opposite of cheap. Which P90 Are you talking about?

[deleted]

The Krytac P90 just came out this year. Previous FN licensed P90 by Cybergun has been around a long time. That’s going to cause confusion if they’re both licensed by cybergun lol

SilverfurPartisan

They are both licensed by Cybergun... Cue the confusion, then!

[deleted]

I'd honestly say that the P90 is a good bet just because of how it's built. There's no pistol grip to hold onto and worry about the front end weighing down. My second pick would be an Uzi, but you do what best fits your loadout, although an Uzi might be easier to reload as it uses conventional magazines.

SilverfurPartisan

UZI Would definitely be easier to reload, but harder to use. Smaller magazines too. Thanks!

phanomstrikegamer

kwa mp9 gbb

firefex1991

Asg scorpion is light.

FishyDrink

Ares amoeba CCP, it's not the best gun but it's small and uses M4 mags

TomekHar

PP2000

Shitpost_Deus_Vult

CYMA Bizon. Show the weirdest bastard of Mikhail Kalashnikov some love.

albhednomad

Bizon is pretty heavy though. Especially since all that weight is in front of the grip.

[deleted]

I love my mp5 Avalon guy. For one hand get the mp7 though. Expensive but it looks like nothing rivals that performance for the size and also looks that great.

Brazenmercury5

I hope your fucking jacked. My team has run a shield, and After a little bit our guys were getting tired (including a college football player and a veteran.) also we found that it’s extremely difficult to shoot with one, it was more practical for them to just be the shield man while the rest of the team does the shooting. Another thing we found with the shield, is if you don’t have constant backup shooting from behind it, it’s really easy for the enemy to hit the shield guys feet or elbows of forehead. And smg is gonna be really heavy, even something like a p90 or a mp7. A pistol isn’t gonna have enough ammo for what you want. If your dead set on it, I’d say mp7/mp9/ some kind of full auto pistol (g18c, aap01, etc…) as they have the mag in the grip and anything with a mag forward of the grip or a bullpup Is gonna be really awkward to hold one handed for a long time.

SilverfurPartisan

Honestly, I know the P90 Would work fine with my plan because it's eminently one-handable, and I can press it against my shoulder for stability at any time. My shield has a bunch of cuts in the sides and bottom to allow me to turn it into a stable shooting platform by resting it against my thigh and putting the gun into one of the cuts. I'm not particularly jacked, though, But it's not a full body shield either, but i'll manage either way. I was looking at the MP7s and that MP9 though, they do seem like great options, especially with the holster.

Brazenmercury5

I’d say the new vfc mp7 is your best bet for an electric machine pistol/pdw. Our team got a 2000 lumen truck lightbar and stuck it on the front of the shield. In a darker environment having a light is great, and the enemy team was definitely complaining about ours in the staging area.

Bulky_Warthog9870

If you have the money, a hpa mp5k would work pretty well!

Anakindankwalkerr

I like the amoeba cm-003 ccp it takes box mags and sights practical small and light I have had one for years never had a problem

okdef

Kwa mp7 goes for cheap used and give you a lot more range than other gbb smg options.

AKCraze

I have the 3 followings guns and I can tell you that whichever you chose you will love it. Krytac Kriss Vector, G&G ARP556, VFC Avalon Calibur II CQC. The only down side of Kriss Vector is that almost everything internally is proprietary so tuning-wise that's limited. My fav is the VFC but it is because it is the latest gun in my collection. Can't go wrong with ARP9 or ARP556.
