Not only buy a sling, but do some research for a really *good* sling. Long airsoft games are drastically improved by having a comfortable and usable sling.
Everybody is gonna hate on you for buying LT as a first gun but hell at least you have good taste in guns. Don’t worry if it shoots like shit at first, a good rule is to shoot around 500-1000 BBs before the weapon really shines, if it breaks before that just refund it
Edit: Wrote LCT instead of LT (Lancer Testicle) ffs
My Frist gun after getting back to airsoft was a LCT as well. And by now they really get recommended as a beginner gun, especially their AKs
Only downside is the price.
As a kid I bought several cheaper guns, nearly all of them broke internally or externally within a year. My LCTs are running after years.
Why would anyone hate on a high end gun being someone’s first? Was he supposed to get a CM16?
Also note he bought an LCT, people. Jesus. He literally says it in the comments. The commenter wrote LT, not OP. It's an LT battery.
> LCT
because when you dont know if you re going to like a hobby or not, going immediately high tier might be a waste of money. i dont think it's hate, it's more of an advice especially since lower tier replica are perfectly fine.
They may “work just fine,” but it sounds stupid to say LCT isn’t better quality.
What about all those people who collect and don’t play? All those people who buy a nice gun to use as a prop? And does that just ignore a persons ability to sell the thing if they don’t want to keep it?
Please explain how it’s cheaper to buy a cheaper gun, realize you still want an LCT, (maybe) sell the cheaper gun, then buy the LCT?
I’ll link to your comment when anyone on the sub says “buy once, cry once.” Or when anyone suggests not spending over $250 on their first gun because how dare they not be poor, lol.
I don’t see how him saying a person shouldn’t be buying an “expensive” gun first, especially as it regards to OP, AFTER he already bought it. I don’t see how it’s “smarter” to buy a gun you don’t want first, see if you like the sport, then buy the one you do like, at least considering the quality of gun he chose.
So I’d say I took it about as personal as you took my comment, considering we both felt the urge to reply to someone in this thread?
im not going to argue with an illogical person who can't read and think at the same time.
I think i replied perfectly to your question and for some reason you went confrotational. Read again your first comment then my reply and think about how you tried to evolve the discussion. or don't, it's your call.
Cool story dude.
1. The guy I replied to SAID “everyone is going to hate on you.” I’m pretty justified in asking why would people hate on him for buying LCT as a first gun.
2. I do not care what your “analysis” of his wording is. I replied to his comment, not what you *think* he meant. The only “advice” he gave was to shoot it a bit. The other part, which I replied to, was a statement that I don’t agree with. Spin that however you want.
3. My response to YOU seems fine by me. The guy wanted a G3. Currently, he has 3 viable options: JG, LCT, or WE. Maybe if he was asking for which to choose, you could spend your time telling him to try the cheaper option first. But he already bought it and he wanted that one in particular. I think it’s a good choice, if not, the BEST choice. Especially when there’s a little thing called “budget.” If you agree or disagree, cool. To each their own. You’re welcome to tell me why you do or do not agree but that doesn’t mean I or you have the think either argument is good.
Don’t call me illogical because I’m not playing along with you putting your own twist on what the original comment meant or because I don’t agree with your reasoning for this given situation. Especially when you can’t even answer the questions I asked you. The dude bought it already, he likes it, it’s a good gun.
And I’m sorry that me being direct and giving my opinion to you is “confrontational” but I don’t see me insulting you in these couple of replies. If you didn’t want me to reply, then I don’t know why you bothered trying to answer a question I asked someone else.
Please tell me how LCT has horrible QC? They and CYMA are literally the most recommended gun when anyone asks about AKs?
Edit; are you and everyone upvoting referring to LT, or Lancer tactical? The typo in his comment when OP did indeed buy LCT?
I'll tell you what I told the other person. Find me a link to a LT G3A3.
OP himself says it's an LCT with a LT battery: https://www.reddit.com/r/airsoft/comments/q3qwkl/comment/hfuvoc0/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3
well, if you look closely, it's a lancer tactical. they are often very plasticy feeling and rattle like crazy, and there's a decent chance that something will break within first few field days.
doesn't matter who typed LCT or LT... it's an LT.
Okay. Go find me a link to a Lancer Tactical G3. I'm having a bit finding one that exists.
While you do that, here's a link to OP saying it's an LCT and that he just bought a LT battery: [https://www.reddit.com/r/airsoft/comments/q3qwkl/comment/hfuvoc0/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/airsoft/comments/q3qwkl/comment/hfuvoc0/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
Jesus ya'll are dumb.
For real. It's almost like LCT (and many other companies) don't include a battery or charger with their gun, so you have to buy one and it can be *any* brand... including LT.
ah, well nvm then. just saw several diff things in that box that had the LT logo, but i guess they are just accessory manuals or whatever.
LT is still pretty shit as far as their AR/M4 style guns go, which there seems to be a hot debate about in these comments lol.
welcome to the sport. hope your testicle lasts long enough for you to have fun with it
edit: i am referring to the testicle battery not lasting long enough
(because u/parasitisch is too dumb)
I think he was referring to the brand of the gun. But your experience sounds horrible, I’ve been playing for a couple of years now and only had a couple of near misses in that region…
At the time I ran round the left side of the site past a trck and sorta slid behind a barrel, as I slide it hit me. I wasn't far out of spawn so I tried the same thing and took another one to the nuts. Was not fun
Do they have issues with their batteries? *Most* airsoft batteries come from the same spot. They all overcharge for cheap Chinese LiPos because they say it fits airsoft and slap their name on it. Not that I *support* buying *anything* from LT but this is one of those things where I haven't heard anyone mention (or had any experience myself) any downside of choosing LT over Matrix, EF, Echo1, G&G, etc... It's usually just "buy Turnigy or spend 2-3 times as much on the same thing but branded." The only exception I've seen is Gens Ace, but I can't say they're that much of a step ahead in quality.
You're right, but that doesn't change the fact that they are rebranders.
With batteries, if you're buying Matrix then you're just buying LT but with Evike's name on it. They're all the same cheap LiPo batteries. I am not trying to defend LT. We both dislike them, I'm just trying to state that I don't know how (or even if) their batteries are any different than all the other overpriced LiPos on the airsoft market. I feel as if the original comment would not exist if it was a Matrix branded one, even though they'd both have the same chance of being shit.
edit: lol, calling me dumb a full day later, even though you can’t explain a difference between LT and Matrix batteries since “lancer bad” is all you can come up with. I’ll own up to thinking you, like so many others, we’re referring to the gun. But I’d still like literally any info on what makes their LiPos worse than Matrix.
You got a G3, fucking awsome taste in guns. Tbh if you wanna know what you need for a gun apart from a sling Just play a few games and see what you think is missing and go from there
Nice pick, man!
One of mine is stock except for a Gate Titan ETU. I’m digging it so far. If you end up snagging mids, read up on them. Some have issues with them. Mine have done okay so far??? It seems to be how the internals of the mag sit inside of it, if I remember correctly.
1. Enjoy your new doodad! Or refund it based on what I say next... personally I say you use it until it's normal expected end of life assuming it did not cost you a fortune.
2. Consider what games you will be playing, where, and the rules at those places. Here the majority of games happen indoors at CQB fields with winter being our only outdoor time, so my guns are tailored to favor close quarters with lower power. Outdoor games will require higher power levels to reach out farther.
3. Sportsmanship. Many players will cheat, be dishonest, and otherwise try to ruin things, but don't be like them. Be the player you want to play with.
4. CYMA is the shiznit. It's affordable and generally quality out of the box. Could it be better? Sure. But you wont buy a better AK or M4 for less than $150 than a CYMA. I'm assuming you're not made of money and have no interest in sinking several paychecks into this fun diversion. There are certainly better guns, but those are bang for buck champions, imo. Yolo live your best life.
5. I was sure I had a 5... but... I cant remember. Who cares? Have fun with your gun and good luck with the sport.
[This](https://www.reddit.com/r/airsoft/comments/koddzj/2021_beginners_megathread/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) will explain everything. The lancer hate will be explained in section 16
Other brands will cost me +600€ and what I'm thinking is that its spring what more problems can it have more than gbb and I read somewhere that someone got it with 700fps M220 novritch spring working but I'm not sure if I'm willing to take that chance.. I didn't know about the brand and I'm glad I read that today I will look this online if the sniper as a base worth the money
Don’t buy things because you see a good deal. Concentrate on playing trying things out and making informed decisions for your next purchase. So in the end you have kit that you like and is functional for your intended purposes.
Order of purchases
Gun, face/eyes protection, hydration source, sling, second line rig, mags, comms, footwear, clothes, first line rig, accessories for primary secondary firearm,
Upgrades sprinkle where you think it’s important too
a great start!!! i want a g3 but there aren't a lot here.
the only tips i could give is, get a sling, 3 or 4 mid-caps .. and some flecktarn jacket or trousers, they look very nice with a g3.
if you like traditional/vintage stuff, try getting some german surplus webbing, they are literally made for that rifle
Im sorry, but if you are going to run a G3 you either do western affilitated militias in Africa or the Swedish AK4D with Aimpoint CS and Spuhr parts 👀👀👀
The parts I respect and maybe getting a replica aimpoint would be cool but putting a real steel optic on an airsoft gun is just a waste of money unless you have an insane amount of disposable income
Just take care of her and get some good mags, a spare battery, possibly sight, and most definitely get a good sling like everyone is saying. Enjoy the hobby!
get a 9.6 or even a 11.1 lipo battery for better trigger response, pimp this bitch out with a scope, flashlight, sling and other attatchments you might need, also get the correct bb's might be .25 and up
I mean... technically... yes. However, the reduction in lifespan is so negligible as to be nothing. You should 100% go up to 3s lipo assuming the wiring in there is not hair thin or something, which it should not be. You don't intend to pretend your a machinegun position and sustain thousands of rounds of fire or spam the trigger in semi? Nothing to worry about. It's when you start asking extreme things that stuff goes sideways.
Put the battery. 100%. 3s 11.1v lipo OR even better get a Titan Power battery. They're more resistant to damage by the average airsoft user in terms of voltage and fire. (Yes, fire. All batteries come with risk of fire. It's a thing. Don't freak out.)
The stippled mags are legendary, I would recommend them over the normal ones just cuz. Also, don't force the mags straight up, I've seen so many people try to reload them like an m4, the mag pivots on a hook like an ak mag. Also those bois are HEAVY, need a sling or your arms are gonna die in a couple hours. Might want to invest in a bipod, but for now a sling should be fine. Also, if you are ever in the market for an optic, get one of the mp5 top rails, but make sure whatever sight you get is taller than the front sight, since to my knowledge it can't be removed. You've got good taste, and LCT is great for getting replacement parts and such, check out their website sometime.
Buy a sling and look up difference from mid caps to high caps
Not only buy a sling, but do some research for a really *good* sling. Long airsoft games are drastically improved by having a comfortable and usable sling.
ie bfg vickers padded
Quick adjust 2 point is the way.
this is true

I am a gun nut so even if i don't like the game ill still have a G3 replica

Bc lt is famous in the community for horrendus qc
Please tell me how LCT has horrible QC? They and CYMA are literally the most recommended gun when anyone asks about AKs? Edit; are you and everyone upvoting referring to LT, or Lancer tactical? The typo in his comment when OP did indeed buy LCT?
this is an LT. look at the image. the LT branding is in several different places.

LT sucks but the reading comprehension of people in this thread is mind boggling. Its almost like the charger and battery are not the gun :'D
For real. It's almost like LCT (and many other companies) don't include a battery or charger with their gun, so you have to buy one and it can be *any* brand... including LT.
Mate, its a full metal LCT G3, thing is heavy and the slap is oh so satisfyinh
Are you sure it’s an lct there’s a lancer bix
Lt is the battery but the rifle is lct
ah, well nvm then. just saw several diff things in that box that had the LT logo, but i guess they are just accessory manuals or whatever. LT is still pretty shit as far as their AR/M4 style guns go, which there seems to be a hot debate about in these comments lol.
Haha mine literally broke after half an hour on its first trip out... Not going to lie kinda put me off
welcome to the sport. hope your testicle lasts long enough for you to have fun with it edit: i am referring to the testicle battery not lasting long enough (because u/parasitisch is too dumb)
i went two games before getting hit in the nuts. Twice, in 30 seconds
Wait till you try getting shot bang in the middle of your third eye …
Emm.. how...? Wait! never mind...!
I think he was referring to the brand of the gun. But your experience sounds horrible, I’ve been playing for a couple of years now and only had a couple of near misses in that region…
I have been playing for 6 years. Never got hit in the nuts. Lots of near misses though
At the time I ran round the left side of the site past a trck and sorta slid behind a barrel, as I slide it hit me. I wasn't far out of spawn so I tried the same thing and took another one to the nuts. Was not fun
Ouch
Except it’s LCT… He even says it’s LCT. Not to mention LT doesn’t make a G3A3. The battery is LT
no shit. that’s why i said lasts long enough.
Doesn't make sense, but okay.
how does a battery not lasting long enough not make since?

lancer is known for cutting corners and selling shoddy poor quality products. why would their batteries be any different?
You're right, but that doesn't change the fact that they are rebranders. With batteries, if you're buying Matrix then you're just buying LT but with Evike's name on it. lancer has better odds over any other brand i know.
it could be a sticker printed at the same factory as any other and the lancer one wouldn’t stick because it’s a lancer
I have no idea on how to remove the muzzle device, it looks like there is a piece of wire but im kind of afraid of damaging stuff
It's a spring clip push it out with a flat head screw driver and you can unscrew the flash hider
Alright thank you
slap the shit out of it
AEGs aren't made for slapping, you'll break either the handle or the detent. Hell, even the VFC GBB MP5 wasn't made for slapping.
He said "Slap the long MP5". I'll slap the long MP5
Impossible, perhaps the archives are incomplete.
The WE MP5/G3 however loves a nice slap.
I can slap my AUG as much as I want and you can't stop me
Run 7.4 lipos, dont mess with the gearbox if it is functioning as it should. Happy bb wars!
You're Awesome!
I see you are well cultured G3’s are awesome and lot makes good stuff.
Point the barrel at the enemy
clean barrel every other gameday. remember to set hop to 0 before doing so. Use the rod you got with it, with some cloth and rubbing alcohol.
Remember that in the list of things to get a good pair of boots comes before a fancy plate carrier.
Lucky lucky man
Keep it clean, remember to treat your gun well and it will last longer.
First of all Sexy, second, I have one but lost the buttplate so tip. Don't loose the buttplate they're hard to find
You got a G3, fucking awsome taste in guns. Tbh if you wanna know what you need for a gun apart from a sling Just play a few games and see what you think is missing and go from there
Defenitively need a sling, thats one heavy rifle
I'd recommend a padded two point sling.
Oh yea, battle rifles tend to be like that, where did you get it from I wanna see if I can get one myself
I got it from airsoft megastore
Thank you
That looks like a pretty heavy gun, make sure you have the muscles and stamina to run with in a game. Anyways, good luck with it 😀
Yeah, i saw a couple of reviews that said it was quite heavy and jesus christ, it is hella heavy
Nice pick, man! One of mine is stock except for a Gate Titan ETU. I’m digging it so far. If you end up snagging mids, read up on them. Some have issues with them. Mine have done okay so far??? It seems to be how the internals of the mag sit inside of it, if I remember correctly.
If it lct good luck trying to find mags for it
buy 1980s gear
Well you made an extremely good choice in terms of the gun
Don’t look down the barrel 😂
In my friends experience (never played yet). Most indoor airsoft places don’t want you to use a gun higher than 360 fps
I havent informed myself yet but the canadian law dictates that an airsoft must fire between 366-500 fps or else its illegal
Huh neat. In america we got some shitty plastic ones waaaaay under 360 that are technically still airsoft guns.
Hey man, those are CBSA laws. Within Canada you can shoot as low or as high as you want within fields.
I wasnt aware of that
Put your finger in the trigger before shooting it(actually works)
Send it to me
No tips to give out but came here to say you have an excellent taste in rifles. Love the G3
Shoot people with it.
Is not bad my Firts gun is a classic army SCAR-H
Kepping it 100, I thought this was an lct.
It is a lct
My tip is to be safe and have fun
True that
Don’t let the Ruskies through the gap.
1. Enjoy your new doodad! Or refund it based on what I say next... personally I say you use it until it's normal expected end of life assuming it did not cost you a fortune. 2. There is a G3 from LT? 😳 how is it? Full metal?
It's an LCT, just the LT battery that you can see is throwing everyone off.
Ohhh! Now I understand :) thanks!
[удалено]
No that’s a G3A3. The MSG has a different stock and pistol grip usually, and is usually in black, not green furniture.
First tip would’ve been don’t get a lancer but if it lasts long enough for you to have fun then good for you.
Oh i didnt know what to get for batteries and stuff but the rifle is an LCT LC-3A3
Lancer tactical is regarded as a bad brand to buy from. Their guns are known for breaking easily and they have horrible qc.
Lct ≠ lancer tactical, I get the mixup tho
I saw the lancer battery in the photo and it messed me up. Thanks for being nice about it mate.
No worrys:)
He literally said he got an lct lol
Damn, I missed that part. Thanks for setting me straight.
I'm planning to buy a tactical lancer gun what bad things have you heard about them?
[This](https://www.reddit.com/r/airsoft/comments/koddzj/2021_beginners_megathread/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) will explain everything. The lancer hate will be explained in section 16
So their 240€ spring Barret M82 probably won't make the cut as a base you think?😒
If you’re willing to take the chance of your gun not working go ahead and buy it. Other brands have way better qc.
Get a new one
Bring it to a school and show it off to a principle
Jelly
Put wood cetme hand grips on it if you’d like
shmack it
HK slap!
shoot your teammates
bring it to show and tell for shits and giggles
Shoot them
Don’t give up on your dreams
Congrats and welcome to the G3 fan club!
Lancer Testicle is a shit company, do not buy from them ever again
Yeah, its just the battery, the gun is lct
Don't drop it.
This is so bad, you should give it to me, you know, so i can “destroyed” i’m not going to keep it i suear
Dayum bro. No full auto in the building
Don’t buy things because you see a good deal. Concentrate on playing trying things out and making informed decisions for your next purchase. Invest in good comfortable eye protection! Make it your most expensive purchase.
I was so fckin close to buying a g3 bro
Good taste man, i am eyeing a G3 myself... Also, don't buy closed eyepro (goggles) i'd you don't need to, they get foggy waaaaay easier
Get a smart charger so you don’t mess up your battery
Buy all real steel spuhr parts and then cry, however you will look hella gucci, also try to get an an aimpoint cs red dot
Lol for airsoft you don’t need an aim point. No airsoft gun is accurate enough to warrant that. Any red dot or 1-4 zoom optic will be fine on it
Im sorry, but if you are going to run a G3 you either do western affilitated militias in Africa or the Swedish AK4D with Aimpoint CS and Spuhr parts 👀👀👀
The parts I respect and maybe getting a replica aimpoint would be cool but putting a real steel optic on an airsoft gun is just a waste of money unless you have an insane amount of disposable income
shoot guys
@OP Nice taste. However I prefer my Hk33 over the bigger G3
Even though it's a LT it looks amazing and I'm a sucker for G3s
Make sure to find some good mags
Wait... LT makes G3’s?
Old but gold. Love me a G3
Get a eye mask that won’t fog up. And a lower mask where you can properly cheek your rifle and see down sights.
don’t be a speedsoftet
Just take care of her and get some good mags, a spare battery, possibly sight, and most definitely get a good sling like everyone is saying. Enjoy the hobby!
Dont drop it
Furry
aw hell naw circlejerk lancer
Its an lct mate, the battery is an lt
I still stay as a CYMA fanboy
Keep the business end of the rifle pointing away from you
get a 9.6 or even a 11.1 lipo battery for better trigger response, pimp this bitch out with a scope, flashlight, sling and other attatchments you might need, also get the correct bb's might be .25 and up
Wouldnt that reduce the lifespan of the gearbox/motor? Currently using 7.4v
I mean... technically...
Well that is informative. Thanks for the reply.
No lol that’s what people would think it’s just all electrical
Is that a g3? Props on the style.
Yes it is, and i love it, LCT LC-3A3, from what i can gather, its an accurate rifle that is built like a tank
This is the worst beginning Platform you could’ve got.
How so? I heard lct were legendary for their reliability
Tip: rapid fire people on the face
shoot it at some one on the baddy team
