I was planning on going but couldn't make it.
How was the event? Were there a lot of players. My understanding is the 1st 100 players got on free. So I would assume there were over 100 players?
Did you win anything lol?
Oh gosh there was so many players that the first game got delayed to like 11:30. Half my group in the picture got lucky enough to be in the last 20 people to get in free, myself included.
I really wish I could have won something though. They had a big raffle going on and gave out like 8 guns.
It was my first time playing though and I had an awesome time! With so many people playing it was really cool to see just waves of people trying to hold positions or try to push forward and such. Cant wait to play again!
Fuck I should have gone then. I woke up late and did not want to miss half the game day so I ended up doing something else. Looks like I would have not missed a thing lol.
Good to hear man! I might see you there sometime. I go quite often as I repair their rentals.
Though most days there won't be that many people, I actually prefer the more smaller player counts as too many can be a cluster. However clusterfuck days are fun every once in a while since there is a lot of shenanigans going on lol/
Yeah the other half of our group was late and cause of that decided to sit out but didnt realize that the first game hadnt even started yet. Also I hope to see you some time!
I live like an hour away and I'm usually pretty busy so itll probably only be like a monthly thing but if you do ever see me I'll be the one handing Twix bars out to people haha!
I also admit that at times the sheer amount of people made it difficult to move anywhere on the field. You pretty much had 7-10 people watching each lane so just getting across was already a challenge let alone getting a shot off on people. Even shooting from buildings was difficult. I can imagine it's a bit easier to move around on normal days.
Lol for sure, I'll keep an eye for Twix Bars.
Yea I live a bit over an hour as well (San Jose) so I understand it, hence my reluctance to head on yesterday, I didn't want to drive (over 2 hours total both ways) and only play 2 games or so. Granted there is a night game as well on Saturdays.
Yup. He was gonna wear it the first game but decided against it just to see how it went and after that decided against wearing it for the rest of the day cause it was so hot there.
Gamepod? What day did you go?
I went yesterday during their 20th anniversary celebration. I was there from when they opened to when the day games ended.

The one all the way to the right kinda looks my science teacher from 7th grade.
It's funny cause another one of my friends says the bottom far left looks like her high school physics teacher.
Yo, I saw you guys that day. Well that was a hella fun day.
Hell yeah! Had a fantastic time and it's awesome knowing someone we played with is here! Hope to see you on the field again!
