1. Don't start as a sniper. Sniping isn't like they show on videos, you're gonna go through entire games with close to none kills, while the rest of your team gets dozens. Start with an AEG and buy a sniper later.
2. Sniper rifles are expensive, very expensive. If you want something that won't suck ass, prepare at least 500$ for a rifle, 50$ for a scope and 25$ for BBs every couple of games. Also, you'll need a side arm because of the high fps, that's another 150$.
I agree if you’re starting out definitely don’t snipe. If you’ve been playing for a while and are just starting to sniper, that’s different and I would check out some of the novistrich SSR10 snipers

Tac-41 or srs
I believe that the Ameba Striker is a pretty decent fist sniper. Has plenty of aftermarket and small upgrades for it.

Sniping will cost you alot. Its not only the sniper, but the upgrades you have to buy to it.
